Headlights on new platinum 2024 f250--when driving at night there are several issues. On low beam there is a black line that shows up across the upper view. On high beam the black line is even more prominent and shapes start showing up in the lights. Squares first then as you drive and turn they change to v, m and x shapes. (see pictures). The truck has 560 miles on it and it has been to the Ford dealership twice. They are saying that there is nothing wrong with the lights, and these lights are the new projector lights from Ford. They even pulled another platinum 2024 f250 next to mine to compare the lights and they are the same (see pictures) I am not getting anywhere with Ford, our local dealership is trying, but Ford is not helping them. I even made a call to customer service on 8/22/24. They told me that I need to go to another dealership and get a second opinion. These lights are very distracting with shapes moving across your line of vision and could be distracting to other vehicles. Also, there are totally blacked out areas on the sides, we live in a high deer population area, being able to see in the ditches is imperative. I do not want to drive at night due to it being unsafe. Truck is available for inspection upon request. Its just parked for now until we can get the lights changed or Ford does a recall. This is my second complaint filed online. I never got a call back from the first complaint.

I took my truck into the dealership Ford of upland for recalls on 06/06/2023 (136923 miles) outstanding field service actions 18l02, 18n03, 20n04, 20m04 ,20e07, 21m05, 22s51. I called to make an appointment and confirm if parts are needed for theses recalls that they had them and nothing was on backorder. Cabral lillian let me know they had everything the truck would be done in 1. 5 days at most. About 2hours before they closed on day 2 I called to see when I could pickup. She told me they just started the 20e07 and it would be ready in one hour. When I went to pick up I was informed that was the only recall that they did. I asked why she said they did not have the other parts, I explained to her when I made the appointment she she they had everything. She just said they would call me when they have the parts. I called a handfull of times too check status of the parts , kept saying they dont have them. Finally I emailed lillian 7/24/23 and 7/25/23 no reply. I went ahead and emailed all the main people in the service department 7/27/23 steven isip service director said he would look into this. All that happend was he had lillian call me and said they had the camera (22s51) and I could make an appointment it would take 2 day to complete. My husband called citrus Ford to see if they could do the recalls. They set the appointment 11/29/23 ( 147665 miles) had it done same day. I didn't look over all the paperwork and didn't see that the other recalls were not addressed. Until 3/11/23 the tailgate opened on its own . Thats when I looked at the paperwork from citrus Ford, saw that the only recall was done camera. I did, and call Ford customer service and explained what happened, they saw my truck service records gave in a case#. 3/18/23 all the exterior started flashing, horn, tailgate started going crazy. Dropped the truck off 3/19/23 6:30am 154,000 miles. Ford is now saying diagnostics needs to be done, due to the recall was only good up 150000 mi.

The cab roof clearance lights leak water when it rains. The water leaks into the electronics in the overhead console and down the a-pillar. Dealer advises it is a nonwarranty issue under extended warranty and a commonly known issue on these. Trucks.
Component: battery junction box then affecting other parts. Water intrusion into battery junction box affecting and shorting out other components. Items shorted out due to water in battery junction box include: battery junction box itself, left rear blind spot monitor, left rear brake light, drivers seat control (shorted all seat heated components, all lumbar and massaging components fully inflated and would not deflate) , windshield wiper motor shorted and stopped working, rain sensor stopped working. Both tow mirrors would randomly deploy to the furthest out position. Main safety concerns were windshield wiper motor stopped working and seat randomly adjusting, inflating, deflating. Vehicle is currently at for dealership ( sam packs 5 star Ford lewisville TX) who has diagnosed the issues. The only warning lamp was for the driver side blis when the incident would occur.

The headlights have failed multiple times causing bulbs to stop working or “blow”. Changed headlight bulbs approximately 4 times in the 18 months. Safety became an issue due to decreased lighting while driving. Also becomes a safety risk due to not being able to have the vehicle properly inspected by the state of wv. The problem has been discussed with the local Ford dealer multiple times with no further progress other than discussions. No warning lamps or other problems prior.
Headlights are blinding on F-250s seems all late model Ford F-250, all models seems they always are on bright when at intersectionn across from one it's blinding to see anything else even when driving and the F-250 are coming at you blinding.
Head light housing retains moisture on the inside of the lens both headlights on truck. May be causing shortage of the wires.
Dash instruments, radio, compass, overhead console, all blank and inoperable. Was told by for service that many vehicles 2017 to 2019 are having same problem. Told the instrument cluster module powers multiple areas of truck and will need a new module. Was told there is a glitch in the design.
The housing for the headlights have started to delaminate from the inside of the housing and starting to create a problem with the effective lighting and turn signal area. Where the delaminating is occurring, the lens has a milky , etched, , water spot film like appearance clearly on the inside of the housing. Since it first appeared , it has grown in size on both headlamps and appears that it will continue to grow over time. I first noticed this several months ago and reported it to the Ford dealer. After a lot of back and forth , and much to my dismay Ford is refusing to cover this under its top tier extended warranty even though it is a safety issue . It would have been covered under the initial 3/36 bumper to bumper . Ford has officially stated that it’s not a common problem, though it’s pretty easy to find quite a few others with the same issue from browsing Ford internet forums.
I have had several incidents when driving at night that I keep getting flashed by other drivers thinking my truck head lights are on high beam. I see there is a recall for other year models for the drl is not dimming when the low beams are on. I am thinking this is happening to this truck. I am going to have Ford look at it but they are just going to check light alignment.
I went to adjust the headlights. The screws started spinning with no adjustments. Apparently their is a plastic connecting piece between the metal rusted or locked up screw and the headlight adjustment gear. The plastic piece sheers not allowing adjustment. All internal to the headlight. It happened on both lights. They are the led lights. I took it to the dealer. They could not adjust either and said it would be 2000 in parts not including labor per headlight to repair. The extended warranty which said it covered led lights would not cover. A google search showed this is a recurring problem. The headlights cannot be adjusted.
The dash cluster cuts off while driving as well as radio and air conditioning.

Truck had been parked all afternoon at work. Upon leaving work there was a sudden loud noise that went on for a few seconds and then stopped. Immediately I thought I had hit something but once the vehical was stopped I saw that the uniroyal liberator a/t tire had been the issue. It had tread seperation and had destroyed the bed of my truck when it came apart.

The issue started with the automatic tailgate deploying or opening during transit. I was hauling cargo and the at highway speed the tailgate opened and the load ejected from the the bed of truck onto the highway. Fortunately there was no accident or damage to anyone else property. After this occurrence over a period of weeks the issue continues to get worse. It happens now regularly and numerous times during a day. I do not haul cargo now because of this. Now the truck electrical system seems to be involved. The windows, radio and lights have issues. The tailgate has no now stopped opening randomly and is stuck in the closed position, this could be do to extreme force I applied during closing it in while stetting at a busy intersection recently. The instrument p[panel on the vehicle is very intelligent and all the settings regular disconnect or malfunction now. I am afraid to use the the cruise control because of the continuously random nature of the electronic failures.
I bought a used 2012 f250 four wheel drive that had no dome, cargo, or map lights but everything else worked normal. After replacing bulbs, dimmer switch, and checking all fuses I took in to my Ford dealership and they found that due to moisture in the cab, it burned out the body control module aka bcm. Rumor has it that these trucks leak water from windshield or firewall. I paid 650 to have it replaced.
When stepping on brakes while directional is on the directionals stop functioning while in motion and turning which is a serious safety hazard im wondering why NHTSA 11v352000 is allowing Ford to only repair certain vins especially when my year make and model are specified in the summary. With the same exact symptoms???.

The inner core of the ignition switch is bad which when moved up or down by movement of the truck going down the road causes the dash lights ,gps, radio and any other electrical part to stop working , also if you have a memory adjust seat it will start going forward and back sporadically which in turn tightens up the seat belt to extreme pressure , which is very distracting to the driver , which in turn could cause an accident . Discussed this with Ford and the response was it was not broken so they were not going to fix it. Someone has to be killed before they do anything for a $2. 00 item or the electrical system has to catch on fire before they will do anything . Some one needs to force them into fixing there products.

Auto headlamps and tail lamps don't work. Door ajar light stays on. Dome light does not come on when door open. Fuel gage stuck on full. Is it the vsm?.
Going 55mph the truck starts shaking and shimming. All lights go in and out and blows whenever anything is hooked up.
Since 2006 and before, I have had unexplained incidences of battery failures and dashboard warnings. The windshield was replaced in 2006 at my request. My battery was replaced in 2006. I also had a temporary engine shutdown about this time. I had battery replacement in 2009 and 2012. On 11/02/2012 I attempted to start my f250 only to discover about a pint of water in the floor tray. I jump started, continued the trip only to discover the heater fan still operating! after further checks, my Ford dealer provided a TSB 04-23-9 which had no warning of the potential electronic malfunctions or damages and not mailed to me. I had the defect corrected by a local shop and Ford was mailed my complaint on 11/28/2012 and have received no answer. I have had more than enough mailing for service and Ford should have been required to inform me.
