Headlights Problems of Ford F-250

Tl-the contact would like to place a complaint on the Ford f-150 and Ford F-250's headlights. The contact stated that the headlights on these vehicles have four lights on the front that blind oncoming traffic. The contact almost had an accident while driving at night last week from having his vision blurred from those front headlights. He almost drove off the road. These headlights are for the newer models for 2019 and 2020. The manufacturer and dealer had not been contacted yet. Tf.

I think the NHTSA needs to investigate the headlights on all new Ford super duty pickups. Even on low beams they have an extremely bright and blinding double stack of lights on each side. These lights are the most blinding lights coming at you from the front or rear that I have ever encountered. How is it possible these are legal? I even drive a pickup so this isn't just a complaint from some person who hates trucks. These lights I'm referring to are really blinding to other drivers.

New f250 pickup trucks have four headlights showing at all times when operated in high beam or low beam. This gives other drivers the impression that high beams are being used at all times, which can lead to other drivers flashing their high beams at f250 drivers in an attempt to make them dim their hibeams. How were the headlights for these vehicles certified for highway use.

Led headlight adjustment screw does not work. When adjusting the headlights because they are shining too high. The headlight adjustment screw turns but the headlights do not adjust up and down. The headlight are too high and blinding other drivers and there is no way to adjust them. Contacted the dealer and manufacturer and they will not warranty the problem.

The Ford f250 has no provision for illuminating the dashboard instruments in daylight. All of the controls for headlight, parking light, etc. Require the sensor on the dashboard to be reporting dark conditions similar to night time. This observation was confirmed by Ford service personnel who added that they have had many complaints about this condition. Even on bright days, the shadows on the instrument panel can be deep enough to prevent their being read. These instruments include the speedometer, temperature and fuel gages, and on-board warning/display. This is a deliberate design change from earlier models. Ford service personnel said, " I can't imagine why they would do this". The instrument lights can be made to light during daylight only by blocking the dashboard light sensor. A crumpled black plastic bag is effective. There does not seem to be a valid reason for keeping the instrument lights off whenever any of the headlamps are on. The inability to read the instruments is a constant distraction and reduces the driver's effective view of the road.

The contact owns a 2011 Ford f250. The contact stated that the headlights were too dim and the roadway ahead of the vehicle was hard to see. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection where they stated that the headlights needed to be adjusted. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified and stated that there was nothing wrong with the headlights. The failure mileage was 14000.

On 1/3/09 while driving down highway at night, headlights turned off. A few seconds later the lights came back on. After driving about 25 - 30 miles the lights did the same thing. It was -50 degrees outside at the time. I have not had any problems since except the vehicle burned up on 1/21/09 for unknown reason.

The truck I rented from u haul was unsafe and should have never been released for rental. I paid $795. 00. The lefthead light was so far out of adjustment that I could not see the center divider, the air conditioner would not work, the winshield washer resevoir was empty. I paid an additional $110. 00 for u haul's safe move- safe tow and because of their negligence the vehicle was unsafe. Contract # 00035048.

Headlight plugs heating up, cracking, and failing. The headlights will go dim or go out completely at any time while operating. Found that the wires feeding into the plug heat up and have caused the plastic plug to deteriorate. Just jiggling the wires can cause the headlights to dim or fail.

1997 Ford F-250ld rear window leaks. You guys have already looked into the problem but I think it really needs to be taken care of. I and many others that I have talked to with the sliding rear window have had this problem and it is destroying the head lights in these trucks plus other damage to the truck and what's in it. This happens anytime it rains hard or soft and when I wash the truck. I have a friend that works as a mechanic for Ford and he said he has seen a lot of these problems. Ford does not really have a good answer for the problem and when they do fix it, it does not last for long. I have no problem with Ford trucks and would buy them again and I think that they need to find how to fix the problem and fix all the trucks that have this problems. Thank you for any help.
