Side/window Air Bag Problems of Ford F-250

My daughter and her fiance were involved in a wreck. His 2008 Ford F-250 super duty truck flipped end over end. They were very badly injured. The driver air bag nor the passenger side air bag deployed. His neck was broken by the steering wheel or dash and she received injuries to her face and had to get stitches, along with other injuries. We saw a Ford f-150 a few days later with damage to the front end and passenger side and the air bags deployed. I want to know if this is a defect in his pickup and what can we do.

Consumer stated while driving driver side window shattered. Dealership said that they will repair the glass, but will not repair the body damage which was caused from the exploding glass. Consumer wanted to send photo copies to support the case.

April 2004. Faulty cable in steeing column. This cable causes a failure which disables the driver side air bag it also disables the horn and cruise control. After going to several discussion forums this is a common problem affecting 100's perhaps 100 of Ford super duty f250, f350 vehicle. Per the chat pages Ford was able to get around this issue by stating the faulty cabling effects the cruise control only. This is a misconseption. Also based on these chat pages this problem effects most f250,350 from 1999 - 2003. The average failure timeline is 45000 - 70000 milies. Mine occured at 68000.

While driving at about 50 mph vehicle hit parked gravel truck head on, and driver's side/passenger's side airbags did not deploy.

During inclement weather brake failed when applied. Consumeer tried to avoid hitting vehicle in front and hit a pole. There was no deployment of driver and passenger side airbages and the seat belt did not restrain driver and kill swith failed. Yh.

The vehicle rear ended another, vehicle at 45mph and neither driver's side nor passenger's side airbags deployed. Ford has not seen vehicle.

Consumer was involved in a frontal collision and driver's side air bag failed to deploy. Please provide any further details.
