Two problems related to automatic transmission have been reported for the 2000 Ford F-350. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Vehicle stalls. Transmission oil filter shifts in a manner that it cuts out transmission flow which causes the engine to shutdown. Ford doesn't have the filters available. Dealers had to drill holes on the side to allow oil to flow. Ford aware of the problem, TSB issued, but modified filters still not available.
Transmission slams from first to second gear and is overreving. Dealer has inspected vehicle, and was not able to duplicate the problem.
