The first and only notification received was the April 5, 2025 email. The 2000 f350 did experience issues of stalling on the road many times. After several thousand dollars of repairs, the camshaft position sensor was replaced by a commercial diesel mechanic. No warnings of any kind were displayed. The truck stalled on the freeway ramp and other streets. These issues occurred since 2000 when the truck was purchased. The lack of notification and choice of fix caused danger and a lot of repair costs. This is unacceptable.
Stopped and put in park, slipped out of park and rolled. Has happened 3 times.
Manual transmission keeping hanging up and is hard shifting into gears.
The spark plug located at the rear of the right cylinder bank of a 6. 8 liter gasoline engine was ejected. The spark plugs in this engine have never been changed to my knowledge so this is not a result of improper torquing procedures. The engine had been operating properly and very seldom has gone over 70 mph. Acceleration at the time of failure was light and the vehicle was not towing. No fire ensued although there was a faint gasoline odor under the hood right after I shut the engine down. The failure was obvious because the spark plug and attached coil pack was lying on top of the cylinder head. The Ford dealer acknowledged that this has been a problem in these engines.
Consumer stated the speedometer was inoperative, dealer replaced broken rear speed sensor.
