Automatic Transmission problems of the 2002 Ford F-350

Three problems related to automatic transmission have been reported for the 2002 Ford F-350. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Automatic Transmission problem

Failure Date: 04/14/2004

Brake shift interlock, failed vehicle rolled without depressing brake petal. Failure resulted in the death of ian joseph campbell 4/14/04 nothing has been done to correct problem.

2 Automatic Transmission problem

Failure Date: 04/04/2004

I have a 2002 f350 super duty diesel truck. Several times (6-8 times) this vehicle has spontaneously moved from park to reverse. So far no injuries or damage to vehicle has occurred as a result of this failure. A CO-worker of mine has reported the same problem with his 2004 Ford f250 superduty diesel truck.

3 Automatic Transmission problem

Failure Date: 01/01/1901

Ltr fm andrij andreitchux(NJ) owner of a Ford f350 truck unable to connect with 33 foot RV trailer hook system causes truck to lock-up defect reply to the elizabeth, NJ district ofc. The vehicle was involved in an accident in which the consumer sustained injuries. Consumer also experienced problems with stalling of engine, transmission, power steering, acceleration, and fuel system on vehicle.
