Three problems related to car stall have been reported for the 2011 Ford F-350. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact owns a 2011 Ford F-350 sd. While driving 55 mph, the vehicle lost power and stalled. The contact was able to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer who was unable to diagnose or repair the vehicle. The failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact was aware of NHTSA campaign number: 13v535000 (engine), but the VIN was not included. The failure mileage was 59,800.
Purchased vehicle. Drove 63 miles towards home then check engine lite illuminated. Drove to a close Ford dealer and diagnosed as an egt sensor failure. I was told had I driven further the engine would have been disabled and I would have stalled on the road.
Sensor did not fix the stalling problem which was monitored by Fords box put in the truck. I had to hit the button for a signal to be sent to Ford every time my engine lost power (went momentarily dead) finally Ford installed a 2013 ecm to correct the problem, which it fixed it. I traded the truck for a 2014 f350 6. 7l , no problems.
