The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the diesel exhaust fluid pump needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times for diagnostic testing and each time there was a different set of codes that were generated. The vehicle was never repaired. The dealer stated that they were working on a software update to be installed in the vehicle. The manufacturer was contacted and a claim was filed. They informed the contact that they were continually working on new calibrations and codes to reinstall in the vehicle. The failure mileage was 4,000 and the current mileage was 8,500.
