Have noticed failed third brakelights an almost all 1999+ f250/f350s on the road. Talked to many who experienced the same failure. Then checked mine and found it failed. Extremely high failure rate for a safety related component. Unfortunately, light bulbs are not covered under the warranty past 12,000 iles. This lamp burns out every couple weeks it appears.
