Transmission was supposedly rebuilt back July 26, 3021. Now transmission has had a new dual clutch replaced but other concerns are still there jerkiness on accelerations. In 2021 the transmission was not fully rebuild as per recall. Only clutch assembly was done and not the back end. Which now could be the problem. Second, colonial Ford sated transmission rebuilt has lifetime warranty which a lie. Colonial Ford doesn’t offer lifetime. The service advisors lie about this all the time. Now the car jerks on acceleration after clutch replacement. Dealer and Ford still take no responsibility over the product! the car has 145,000 miles still under the 150,000 mile warranty isssue by you!.
Vehicle presented to a&t auto repair with rotation-dependent clunking sound. This clunking started after loud metallic snapping noise occurred while coasting in gear on a flat surface. Mechanic noted that clunking noise came from the transaxle. Once the transmission fluid was drained, metallic grit and large chunks resembling gear teeth were found in fluid. A replacement transaxle was installed, along with a new "clutch kit" containing flywheel, pressure plate, and slave cylinder. Following installation and engine start up, slave cylinder leaked, prompting the order of new parts and replacement labor. According to mechanic, four different slave cylinders from two separate manufacturers leaked in the same fashion upon engine startup, due to a "locking" malfunction of the slave cylinder. The recurrent nature of the parts failure seems to indicate a deficiency in part design that causes a fluid leak, possibly endangering driver and passengers in the event of a transmission failure.
Driving at highway speed, the vehicle began to switch between the 5 and 6 gear without warning several times, and a message "transmission fault service now" appeared on the car's dashboard display. The car then started hard-shifting, would not shift into some of the gears, and would not move in reverse. The car had poor acceleration and limited power and it was difficult to pass and keep up with other road traffic. Dealer estimate $4400 for clutch repair internal to transmission.

This car has a standard transmission and a hydraulic clutch. The synchronizer for low gear lets it pop back out of gear. This is extremely dangerous if you are pulling out into a busy lane of traffic. It throws the shift lever back out of gear with a lot of force. I have had the hydraulics bled but plan to take it to a dealer soon. There are others listed on youtube as having the same problem.
I was driving on the highway on October 3 and suddenly my vehicle stalled on me. When I pressed the gas pedal, the vehicle no longer moved. I had the vehicle towed to my house and had a mechanic do a diagnostics. The mechanics thinks the issue could be the computer or the transmission not communicating with the computer. The vehicle can no longer shift gear and it can not crank as well. It is very dangerous for a vehicle to stall in the middle of highway like this. The 18 wheeler behind me barely missed me and it could have been a fatality if I was hit in the rear. Thanks god I managed to pull to the center median and had a friend come help towe the vehicle to my house.

My vehicle was serviced by elk grove Ford service dept only 250 miles ago and the vehicle is back in for more service. Time before did the same thing said the problem was this and when they repaired they called and said this is now wrong, I keep asking why no answer. Now the vehicle had to be taken in and I believe because I have put in complaints before that they are f with me and messing with me I told them elk grove Ford randy bapatista that the engine light came on and the wrench light on the engine came on, they called me and told me around March 30th that it needed this and that, they came back now and said the power train control moduel is needed and they cant find any part for it I found a part the advisor said the parts person looked half a day I dont believe them as see that the pcm can maybe reset they have not said to me if they tried reseting the pcm and I would like the part number. I feel I am being set up for more charges as if they would have check the wrench lamp I would not have two charges, they keep repairing items that I believe did not need to be replacement as the plugs were working find.
My 2014 Ford Fiesta started to "smoke". There was a smoldering electrical short emitting smoke from fusebox. The car would not start after this incident. I have a letter from Ford indicating the fusebox had a recall on this issue due to a corrosion defect. I took it to local Ford dealer who confirmed recall/defect.

The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to continue driving to her residence. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic and was informed that the transmission and a clutch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact called a local dealer and made them aware of the failure. The contact stated that the clutch was replaced three years prior by the local dealer. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
Clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder failure. Both leaked, clutch pedal ceased functioning while driving, leaving the car inoperable.
The dsp6 transmission is slipping out of gear and into neutral. This causes the car's momentum to fall below safe advised speeds on highways, and also can cause the car to jerk suddenly at intersections. Ford knows about this issue but is refusing to repair it.
While I was driving on the interstate I was needing to shift into 5th gear, but it wouldn’t take the shift. I had to drive in the lower gears and it caused backup because I was on a toll road but couldn’t pick up speed. When I got to my destination, I realized I no longer had reverse. Mechanic says the transmission needs to be replaced bc it’s too expensive and difficult to fix, but we can’t find a transmission to fix it. He said he got it to go into 5th and reverse, but they don’t work.
Clutch pedal intermittently depresses but does not return to raised position. Clutch pedal can manually be returned to standard position but is then sometimes “sticky” after being depressed. Vehicle is a 2014 with less than 60,000 miles and is the 4th vehicle with a standard transmission I have owned. After reading on forums for this vehicle it appears that many people are having this exact same issue with the car and I suspect that it is a design defect.
See attachment.
According to the deal a bearing came lose inside the transmission and shot through the casing. The transmission, clutch, and flywheel all need to be replaced for a total of $4700 plus tax. Vehicle was in motion when it happened. The car has 75k miles on it and should definitely not be having these issues.
Car jerking and sometimes will not move.
Ive had this vehicle for 10 months. Lately I'll be sitting at a stoplight or drive through and the light that says it's overheating comes on and if I don't turn it off it will shut off itself. The fluids are all full. Also, the transmission has been giving me trouble for a few months and it's getting worse. I'll press the gas slowly and the car jumps. I have 4 more years to pay on this car! I'm very disappointed on this car's performance.
When driving my vehicle the clutch pop out of gear. When on the highway it automatically pops out of gear and slows down. If my car is on cras como tell it will come out of gear. When shifting gears it becomes difficult and it seems to speed up and slow down while driving. Several times I have almost been rear ended and have had to pull off road to avoid being hit. My car has been in garage due to fear of being hit. Took to repair and they told me there was no recall notice for my vehicle. So I dismissed the repair but still have issues looking for mechanic to fix it.
When driving and come to a stop, the car won't shift into gear. I have to turn the car off to be able to shift into neutral. It does this when sitting at a stop or trying to take off or back up.
After getting a letter offering a clutch replacement, I brought my vehicle in to the dealership and all they did was diagnose it. Still lurches forward at lower speeds and there's a lack of power if you get on it like sea doo in deep water.
The dealer refuses to service my vehicle. Transmission still hesitating ,lunging and slipping at take off.
Shudder and delayed acceleration.
Aug. 11, 2019 went out to turn on the car and the battery was dead. I got a boost and the transmission malfunction service now light came on and the wrench light came on. I bought a brand new battery and the lights still didn't turn off. I took it to a Ford dealership had the fuel changed still nothing. Now the dealership is saying that there is something wrong with the transmission bearings. I do not have that type of money and I don't know what to do now I am still paying for this vehicle I've only had it two and a half years.
Went out to the car last night 17 July 2019 and tried to start the car and it just chimed and all the lights blinked on and off. Went out in the morning 17 July 2019 @0630 tried to start the vehicle and the car made loud clicking sounds around the transmission area. Also there is a message in the cluster center that reads "transmission malfunction service now".
Transmission hesitates when car is in drive and advancing. It is dangerous while trying to make a pass or trying to move from standing on a traffic light.
Transmission is 6 speed automatic, constantly shudders, fails to engage, disengages while driving. Has been "repaired" numerous times and acts up withing a few thousand miles again. When trying to back up, as in parking downtown, reverse fails to engage or pops out of reverse leaving me in traffic. Car is no longer reliable and is dangerous to drive anywhere due to this transmission.
The dsp6 dual clutch transmission in this car is unreliable and dangerous. This is exhibited via frequent shuttering, stalling, lurching forward, and loss of vehicle power when it switches to neutral at highway speeds. In one instance the vehicle lurched forward into an intersection at which point I was almost hit by cross traffic. In another instance, traveling at highway speeds, the transmission switched to neutral on it's own and I was almost hit by a another car from behind.

Transmission shifts into neutral upon aggressive acceleration. Jerky shifting at normal driving speeds.
