36 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 05/17/2019

The transmission in my car has had shuttering, and I have lost acceleration at times. These events happen while the car is in gear and I am driving. I have had the car in the shop 3 times for transmission work. The clutch has been replaced 3 times, and it has had reprogramming several times. The problem persists. I was told I have one more clutch replacement from Ford, then my warranty will expire. Documentation can be provided upon request.

39 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 04/20/2019

Takata recal 2014 Ford Fiesta se ever since I purchased this vehicle I noticed that something funny with the transmission. At lower rpms you will hear something like broken parts clanking around in the transmission I assume. When you accelerate it does not keep a steady increase of speed when you apply the same pressure on the gas pedal, in fact it will down shift into a lower gear and rev to a really hi rpm . I would understand this if I was giving it a lot of gas but I am not, and am firm on the gas pedal. This is very unsafe and this piece of junk should not be allowed to be called a vehicle.

40 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 04/01/2019

Takata recall - my Ford Fiesta that I bought in October of 2017 only has 47,000 miles and the transmission is already going out. When I accelerate to go on the highway it feels like I'm not moving and my wheel will sometimes jerk to the side. My steering wheel also vibrates when I'm in park or braking. I can also feel the vibration on the pedal. I try to take it easy on the gas but the transmission still jerks when shifting gears. I know these transmissions were recalled July of 2017 and I have not received a recall letter.

41 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 01/02/2019

The vehicle stalls while driving or turning and the transmission warning keeps coming up on the dashboard also it has made the engine indicator stay on. When the car is parked and on it seems it has no issues then when you take it out of park it starts stalling immediately.

42 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 12/10/2018

Ford company knowingly put faulty a transmission in their vehicles. To remedy the situation they then gave an extended warranty for the transmission, but when take your car to a Ford dealership they refuse to repair things that part of the transmission. This is very misleading to cusumers and a hazard for me and my children safety on the road. The gears shift while in motion, which has almost several times caused other vehicles to hit me. When at a stop pulling off it will barely excelerate or give a jerking exceleration, which is awful when pedestrians are near. All of which happens sparactically on the highway or in city traffic. This has been a continuous problem 2 years and thus far I've taken my vehicle to three different Ford dealership and none are willing to uphold the Ford warranty and/or address the issue that Ford knows is a hazard. In closing, I received notice about an settlement regarding this vehicle, I received nothing and I'm stuck with a vehicle no one will repair.

43 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 08/03/2018

I got vehicle at a well known car dealership - used. It was given 120 point inspection so the car was in good to go condition. I walked out with luckily some max protection insurance from them, where they would cover any non- ware & tear repairs. Great decision at first, maybe not even a year in at roughly 80k miles the car ac does not get cool, when at a stop or slow speed the car would start to overheat & in stall - this is a manual vehicle so you would have to drop gear in order to gain speed back and cool the engine. The cooling fan wasn't turning over st any point, I replaced the fuse maybe 3-4 times and it kept blowing out. Finally I took it in to get checked out, apparently the fan relay fuse was blown out causing the smaller fuse to blow, all this resulting in damage to the ac compressor having to be replaced, 2,700 in repairs with a deductible of 200 bucks. Can't beat that right? wrong, here I am roughly 9-10 months later with the same issues happening again, car overheating when the ac is on, or at a hault with the fan not kicking over. Ford: you are a multi billion dollar company, you need to make a car / system that can withtand arizona's 110+ degree weather during the summer. This seems to clearly be a electrical issue, as this isn't the first, second or even third issue I've had with the vehicle. Including maker recalls.

Vehicle stalls randomly and dies at low speeds, Ford will not address it as a part of their recalls, was told I need to pay for all repairs out of pocket, very dangerous to drive on the highway and sporadic occurrences of stalling. Engine and wrench light will randomly come on and off before the vehicle begins stalling. It will quite literally sieze up on occasion and not be able to accelerate. Vehicle will also randomly die in the middle of driving using gears 2-3.

52 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 07/25/2016

Purchased car in June 2014 and in September 2014 I began seeing the transmission module recall every time I did a vehicle health report took it in every time the report came back, every time the Ford place I bought it said they could do nonthing to help in early March the transmission completely quit and I had to have it towed only to have the Ford place tell me that I had to replace the battery. The car was barely 1 1/2 years old and so I did and they said that I could keep bringing the car back but Ford would not let the fix the module due to whatever. They did extend the transmission warranty from 36k to 60 k which leads me to this point I have had the car back at the dealer at least 3 more times each time I have to leave the car and it never gets fixed the milage is at 59 k now and I took it to a different dealer in another town today and they said it was fixed and I came back to work and did another vehicle health report and it is still showing as a factory recall I will upload the report to you. Also so the car has had to have a new fan put on it 2 different times for overheating I cant afford to have all this work done this car has caused me more pain than I can deal with. I have tried to trade the car and am upside down I have only this vehicle and must work and have never had such horrible luck with a new car this car is the most I have ever spent almost $17000. It is not right for this to be happening. When the car broke down and the transmission would do nothing I was stranded on the highway, I have complain with Ford and the dealer since I bought this car and nothing ever gets done.

57 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 04/18/2016

My car only has 21,000+ miles on it. My transmission started making grinding sounds, high pitch sequel, surging, hesitating, not shifting (up or down), bucking, would not start. These actions happened at all speeds (low, medium and freeway), at full stops, going uphill/downhill.

58 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 03/15/2016

Car is 2 years old exactly, transmission no longer working, only 20,000 miles on car. Will accelerate on own when coming to a stop sign or red light, will grind, crank and crunch when shifting gears all the while jolting when shifting gears. Have been jolted into a crosswalk when pressing on the breaks due to the car downshifting. Is not safe at all to drive with children in the car due to the unpredictability of the transmission.

59 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 02/29/2016

The car is having acceleration issue. You need to press heavy on the gas for it to move from stop position or on a slight slope. When driving the car at times will jerk when you try to speed up on the highway to merge lanes. The rpm at times will jump. The issue is a safety concern especially on the highway. Today the car would not go up a slope. The started to roll back. This is a real issue when there is snow. I'm scared to drive the car. I have taken it to the deal ship 2 times now. Last time I took it they noted that no fault found at this time. . So I guess nothing was fixed. I noticed the issue within the 1st year and the deal ship said the needs at least 20km and computer system will kick in or something to that fact.

60 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 01/20/2016

Takata recall : the transmission issue makes my car feel unsafe. At random and quite often while driving, my car's transmission will tremble and shake which disables me from driving at the correct speed. Merging onto highways can be quite dangerous because I cannot speed up correctly with this transmission issue. The issue with the transmission is with turning, with out turning, with speeding up, from stop going into motion, and it includes both city street and highway. It has been an ongoing issue. I have taken it into the dealer with no improvement and am taking it back again. This has been an ongoing since I purchased it brand new, and feels like it has gotten worse. I no longer feel safe nor can tolerate these issues.

61 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 01/05/2016

I bought the car in Sep 2015. About two weeks after having the car, I noticed the car would stall/shake/jolt between 20-30 mph. It gets to the point were the just does not accelerate at all. This is a huge concer for safety of myself and my family. I have done research and it seems like Ford is doing nothing about. This is not safe drive. Ford needs to fix the problem. I am now stuck with a lemon that nobody wants, and now im stuck making payments on a crap car.

The vehicle was taken back again for a software update, but the vehicle was still not repaired. The vehicle remained parked at the contact's residence due to the failure. The manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 27,000.

63 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 12/28/2015

Automatic transmission shifts to a manual transmission function within 30 seconds of up hill holding function and rolls back into other cars. This has occured on my car after the recent Ford fix to their transmission design that fixed the rough automatic transmission shifting on the original design. The sequence come to a stop at a stop light on a hill, car holds the normal automatic transmission function of holding the car's position, but within 30 seconds the transmission assumes a manual transmission function and begans to roll backwards into the car behind you. Took the car to the Ford garage (gillis auto center, shelton, wa 98584) was told that this was a Ford design (deficiency) and there was nothing that they could do to fix it. There is no safety notice put out by Ford on the problem.

70 Power Train problem

Failure Date: 07/10/2015

This 2014 Ford Fiesta vehicle has some major transmission issues: slipping, clunking, chugging, jerking, shuttering, and rattling when doing something as simple as pressing the gas pedal to accelerate when a traffic light turns green. This issue also occurs when I begin to come to a complete stop. I've only had the car for about five months and the issues have occurred throughout that time period. I have taken this vehicle to a Ford repair shop. The mechanic completed a reprogramming of some type. He informed me that the reprogramming typically resolves the issues that this vehicle is having; but the issues still remain, in fact, it's gotten worse. The hesitation of this vehicle to accelerate leaves me feeling unsafe. Motorists in passing vehicles are zooming by me as I am attempting to get this car to go. In addition, when I firmly press the gas petal, the car hesitates then begins to accelerate at a rapid speed. These issues occur while I am driving on the interstates, highways, streets, dirt roads, etc. It also does not matter if I am making a turn, shifting in drive or in reverse. . . The issues remain the same. Ford needs to be held accountable for these issues. It is terrible that they would not be concerned about the safety of their consumers. These safety issues were not mentioned on the carfax report. If they had been then I would not have purchased this vehicle.
