1 Manifold/header/muffler/tail Pipe problem of the 2006 Ford Five Hundred

Failure Date: 08/25/2014

Tl- the contact owns a 2006 Ford Five Hundred. The contact stated while driving approximately 40 mph, he had noticed a burning odor which caused the contact to coast over to the emergency lane. The contact and passenger then exited the vehicle to perform a brief inspection. The contact opened the hood and noticed that the vehicle was ignited into flames on top of the manifold. The motor mount located inside of the metal bracket was dry rotting. The contact managed to extinguish the fire with a personal fire extinguisher. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic for diagnosis and the mechanic stated that the entire motor mount needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure and the approximate failure mileage was unavailable. Gb.
