I was driving home and it started to shift incorrectly and luckily I was closer to home. By the time I had to turn into my driveway it quit shifting all together. My door locks do not lock, I've had to bungee the rear doors together. My mirrors do not work. Also the fuel gauge doesn't read correctly.
I have already had to take my Ford Focusc 2012 se. . I have already had my car checked out for the transmission and I feel like it's still running poorly I can hear the transmission still getting stuck and the words transmission failure has appeared on my dashboeard. . . Now the fuel gauge is definitely not working. . . Have invested too much for this car already as I am leasing and I have paid 3xs the amount the car is worth. . . And now afraid anything can go wrong while driving the car. . . . What can I do?? seems no one has anything to help me. . . I have always trusted Ford. . . Now what. . . Am I to die in the car before it will be replaced. . . I have paid too much to worry like this. . . My family will not let it go if anything happens to me as a result of these recalls that do not get fixed. . . I'm going back to the dealer and see if they will honor what you say. . . I feel like no one is caring about the state of my transmission which is still not right. When I drive on high ways it revs toll hits right gear and pulls constant on regular city streets. . Please tell me what to do. . . I dont feel safe in my own vehicle. . . Not anymore. . Please help I'm 54 and do not have means to start again. . . Please help me.
Still having issues with the transmission, shuddering in lower gears, jerks and lunges. Sometimes the rpm's fluctuate. Also need to bring back in for service for the fuel gauge.
Car will start to shudder when accelerating after coming to a stop (ex. Stop sign/light). Vehicle wont start after pumping gas. Fuel gauge seems to be off even after a recall was done. When accelerating rpm will go up but the car wont accelerate.
Fuel gauge suddenly inaccurate- showing fuller than it should be. Noticed discrepancy after driving a short distance, shopped and planned to get gas on the way home. When I started the engine the gauge went from 1/2 full to 3/4 full. It remained 3/4 full with additional driving of multiple trips. I was told by the local Ford dealer this was not covered under recall 18532.
Car was being driven at about 30 mph when it suddenly shut off. Car would not restart. Fuel gauge indicated 71 miles to empty, 2 days after dealer supposedly recalibrated fuel gauge by reprogramming computer. This has happened several times in the past 3 months. Dealer says clutch (in this automatic vehicle) failed "shudder test", and needs $1500 replacement. He says this could explain car shutting off. I cannot risk my pregnant daughter being stranded by this car. Very disappointed inford and this dealer.
2012 Ford Focus fuel gauge reading erratic, specifically indicating full when near empty. This problem is accompanied by emissions check engine codes po420 and po456. This problem is identified in tsbs as early as 2013 as an "evap purge valve" failure. False fuel level indication may cause drivers to run out of fuel and become stranded.
