1 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 04/19/2021

My daughter bought a 2012 Ford Focus sel abot 2 weeks ago in 1 week she ran out of gas and fuel gauge was marking a 1/4 quater tank we filled the gas tank and it was working fine on 4/19/21 same thing happen on the highway marking 1/4 quater tank but it shut off twice while driving no 1 got hurt or no accident 1 time it was on city street the other on the highway at midnight.

2 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 02/07/2021

This is a problem related to safety recall 18s32. Ford Focus 2012 stalled and shut off while backing out of driveway and wouldn't turn back on. I went to an independent car shop and was told the purge valve malfunctioned and caused the gas tank to deform. I called my Ford dealer and requested them to replace the parts because it was the same problem from the 2018 recall. They confirmed that it was the same issue but said they wouldn't replace the parts for free because they already closed the recall. However, when they closed the recall for me in 2019, they didn't tell me that they only reprogrammed and didn't actually replace the parts. If they had replaced the parts in 2019, they wouldn't have malfunctioned now. Obviously the Ford dealer must have made a mistake when attempting to repair my car and didn't actually fix it. This is a huge safety issue for Ford cars because the car can stall and turn off at any time. Even if they fixed it back in 2019 (which obviously they didn't), it's not working now, meaning they need to do another recall and actually solve the problem. I'm now stuck driving my car with a huge safety issue until I can afford to pay for the repairs or until they reopen the recall.

3 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 11/23/2020

I was driving on a busy highway where the speed limit is 70 miles per hour, and the car suddenly slowed down while I was stepping on the gas, until it stopped and then cut off in the middle of I-40, while other cars sped by me swerving out of the way in order to not crash into me from behind. I then took the 2012 Ford Focus se to my mechanic, and after he investigated the malfunction, he said he observed the gas tank of the car "breathing in and out like a diaphragm or a lung" due to an excessive vacuum, which he thought had also damaged other parts of the fuel system beyond just normal wear and tear. The mechanic told me to take the Ford Focus to a Ford dealership right away, because a fuel tank moving in that way causes fissure cracks to develop inside of it that could cause a tank to leak gasoline or rupture during a crash, potentially causing an explosion. The mechanic also told me he could not imagine that the Ford dealership wouldn't remove and then replace the fuel tank on my car, because not doing so in his opinion would be extremely dangerous. Then I took the car to the Ford dealership located 2807 east millbrook road, raleigh, north carolina, 27604 - phone number: (984)232-7601, and they told me that it looked fine to them, and that the car door hinges were also under recall and they weren't going to replace those either. Then I told the Ford dealership that I'd already taken the car to another mechanic first, and that I thought they were trying to repair as little as possible and do as little repairs as they could get away with; then I asked them to reexam the car again. But if I hadn't already taken that vehicle to a different mechanic first, the Ford dealership would have given it back to me in an extremely dangerous condition rather than making the necessary repairs that Ford is being forced to do by the government.

4 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 11/18/2020

The fuel tank collapsed, the fuel gauge is acting erratically, it is lacking power and the codes p0171 and p1450 are showing. The fuel tank is also deformed. The check engine light came on, so the vehicle was taken to a local shop to find out what was wrong. The recall 18s32 has been issued for these problems but when we called a local Ford dealership, they informed us that our vehicle is not covered under the recall.

5 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 11/06/2020

I was driving on a busy highway where the speed limit is 70 miles per hour, and the car suddenly slowed down while I was stepping on the gas, until it stopped and then cut off in the middle of I-40, while other cars sped by me swerving out of the way in order to not crash into me from behind. I then took the 2012 Ford Focus se to my mechanic, and after he investigated the malfunction, he said he observed the gas tank of the car "breathing in and out like a diaphragm or a lung" due to an excessive vacuum, which he thought had also damaged other parts of the fuel system beyond just normal wear and tear, resulting in other fuel related error codes. The mechanic told me to take the Ford Focus to a Ford dealership right away, because a fuel tank moving in and out that way, causes fissure cracks to develop inside of it that could cause a tank to leak gasoline or rupture during a crash, potentially causing an explosion and/or fire. The mechanic also told me he could not imagine that Ford motor company wouldn't remove and then replace the fuel tank on my car, because not doing so in his opinion would be extremely dangerous. The dealership that is representing the Ford motor company who will ultimately approve the replacement of the fuel tank or not, attempted to and would have given the car back to me in an extremely dangerous condition rather than making the necessary repairs that Ford motor company is being forced to fix by the us government.

6 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 09/25/2020

Under Ford recall # 18s32 a fuel tank deformation may happen from the canister purge valve (cpv). My vehicle was only fixed with the replacement of purge valve and reprogramming the pcm; akins Ford invoice# focs439115' line j#3 on invoice. No where on the invoice does it say the fuel tank was inspected. I received car back and I had run out of fuel twice (with gauge saying atleast 50+ miles to empty) over the next few months. I have another recall for the door locks and after talking with dealership we agreed to schedule a date where as Ford could give a loaner car so that the dealership could address both issues. A week later I was told that the fuel tank is deformed and needed replacement but Ford would not pay for it?? I was given email that Ford will not go back to open the case about tank recall because they feel I am not a " long term value (ltv) customer" ? fyi I and my family have bought several cars over the years and just because I haven't purchased a new one in the last 5 years and did just buy this car at beginning of 2020 ;but my brother in-law did at end of 2019. . ? why should this matter when a safety issue; which it is still, where the car could stop running while in the highway because of the unsure status of how much fuel is left. There are several things online about this happening to other owners cars just stalling in the lanes.

7 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 02/07/2020

This is about recall 18s32 fuel tank deformation recall I had this car in the dealership several times and my opinion this dealership is useless I run my VIN on this site and shows this recall has not been fixed I also have another issue that seems is being looked at by fmcsa the steering fault and the steering going out I personally had a close call when the steering went out and almost caused a wreck.

8 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 01/18/2020

Recall 18s32 was done 08/2019 no problem found 12/2019 fuel tank become deformed Ford will not honor the recall.

9 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 12/16/2019

Vehicle would lose motive power in long turning off/on ramps when fuel level got down to just above a 1/4 tank at first then as time progressed the same issue would occur in highway traffic. Narrowly avoided accidents on several occasions due to this. Vehicle never threw a code for anything, it would just stop running. I took vehicle in to dealer to perform manufacturer recall 18s32, they just reporgrammed it and gave it back. Problem got better at first but did not go away. Since the recall work another recall has come out and the level of fuel I need went from above 1/4 to above 1/2 a tank of fuel. When the fuel gauge reads 1/2 a tank the vehicle will take between 7 and 8 gallons of gas (the fuel levels on the gauge are wrong) this morning I lost motive power on the highway in traffic at low speeds with a full tank of fuel and it finally threw the code p00c6 twice, which after looking it up I identified this to be something along the lines of insufficient fuel pressure at the fuel rail. I plan on turning the car in to have the second recall for this issue performed in the next few days and, according to the recall from Ford, this should constitute replacement of several components in the fuel system. I want this on record before taking the vehicle in. This issue has been ongoing and has made me late for and miss work on several occasions.

10 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 10/18/2019

Tl-the contact owns a 2012 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 60-65 mph, with the check engine warning light illuminated, the vehicle stalled. The contact was unable to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the vehicle was out of fuel even with the fuel gauge read 1/4 tank of fuel. The contact was also informed that the fuel tank was deformed. The vehicle was not repaired. Liberty Ford parma heights, 6600 pearl rd, parma heights, OH 44130, (440) 888-2600, was contacted by phone and informed of the failure. 11 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 10/12/2019

Tl- the contact owns a 2012 Ford Focus. The contact stated that cpv (canister purge valve) had a recall under NHTSA campaign number: 19v515000(fuel system, gasoline) where she had it serviced at corning Ford 2280 short dr, corning, CA 96021 (530) 824-5434. The contact was informed to drive the vehicle with a full tank of gas to prevent the vehicle from stalling. The contact stated that while driving at 75 mph, the vehicle completely shut off without warning. The contact had to steer the vehicle as hard as she could to be able to pull off to the side of the road. The contact was able to have someone retrieve fuel to the scene of her vehicle to fill up the fuel tank and the vehicle resumed normal driving. The contact took the vehicle back to the same dealer where they diagnosed the vehicle with a collapsed fuel tank and also said that the cpv needed to be replaced. Due to the fact the recall was already performed, the contact was given an estimate of 1,091. 00 for the repairs. The manufacturer had been notified of the failure and informed her that since the recall had already been repaired under recall, they could offer no further assistance. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 180,000. Jo.

12 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 10/09/2019

Recall 18s32. Brought the vehicle in to dealership on 9-8-19 when I received the recall notice. I was told that software needed to be updated. At that point, we had not experienced any of the symptoms of the recall. I was told that there was a check to see if the software needed to be updated and it did not. On 10-9-19 while my daughter was driving the vehicle, the gas gauge went up to full (it was only 1/2 full) check engine light was on (it has consistently been on for weeks) and most importantly and most frightening is the vehicle completely shut off while she was driving 65 mph on a highway. All of these things that occured are directly what the recall is for. Although my daughter was driving on a hightway , thankfully she was not hit or killed by other drivers and did not crash the vehicle. Now because the vehicle was initially brought in before any symptoms and Ford determined no software update was needed, they are denying to replace the canister purge valve which is what we were told by the dealership needed to be done. The vehicle cannot be driven now because of the fear of putting whomever drives it in danger. Not only is this is unacceptable but I am very frustrated and feel that this safety issue should be addressed by Ford immediately. There is also a recall (recall #19s22) stating dealers will inspect and replace the carbon canister, fuel tank and fuel delivery module as necessary. I have tried to get this addressed not only through Ford's customer service directly but by speaking to the service manager at the dealership where the car was bought and serviced. Seems like this is not an urgent matter for anyone but us. I do have a case number that was assigned by Ford which cas-24503630-j8w6y7.

13 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 10/04/2019

On oct. 4, 2019, our 2012 Focus suddenly had a hard start and smelt of gas fumes in car. Took car in and had repair done which consisted of sender(bv6z-9h307-av) and gasket(4l3z-9276-aa) and paid out of pocket. Just under 2 years ago, had an issue where fuel tank got sucked up. Tank(bv6z-9002-e) was replaced along with same sender and gasket as listed above plus tube as(bv6z-9d289-b) paid out of pocket in Dec. 2017 but was just recently reimbursed due to a recall. I hope this will not be a continuing repair we need to do every couple of years since a recall 19s22 was issued .

14 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 09/20/2019

I'm writing to complain about how Ford handled the safety recall 18s32 / NHTSA recall 18v-735 . When I got the letter in the mail that my car was recalled for this part that could cause the gas tank to collapse I took it to my local Ford dealership and they reprogrammed the valve , which to me is just putting a band aid on the problem and not repairing it. 11 months later the part failed and when I took it back to the dealership to have it replaced they charged me for the repair. After talking with Ford motor company they are telling me that this is their policy. My opinion is that the part should have been replaced on the first visit. This will cause safety issues if left with the faulty part on the car. Can you check into why Ford has such a policy in place ? thanks, scott.

15 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 09/11/2019

Tl-the contact owns a 2012 Ford Focus. The contact stated that he received NHTSA campaign:18v735000(fuel system, gasoline) 19v515000(fuel system, gasoline). The contact experienced failure while pumping fuel into the tank which failed to indicate the mileage causing the vehicle to loss power and shut off without warning. The vehicle was taken into the dealer jim click Ford Lincoln: 6244 e 22nd st, tucson, az 85711 877-777-9263 for a diagnosed test which was performed and determined that the purge valve needed to be updated and replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the vehicle received the same failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the recall repairs was replaced which no further assistance was taken. The failure mileage was approximately 145,000. Ck.

16 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 08/29/2019

We purchased a 2012 Focus for our 18 year old daughter as her first car. The check engine light is illuminated and the car shudders as you accelerate like its shifting gears but it's a very aggressive jerk. Once it reaches certain speed it drives smoothly but if you stop at a red light or stop sign and accelerate again it does the same thing. The fault code for the check engine light states it's a catalytic converter problem. I did some online research and found a recall for what I thought was the cause of the issue (recall 18s32). Took it into the dealership to have the recall repaired and they reset the pcm but tech told me the gas tank "passed inspection" so no further repairs were needed. However, the car still shudders at acceleration. I was told I'd have to pay $135 for them to diagnose the problem. I am so afraid for my daughter who is a fairly new driver to be driving this unsafe vehicle. I will be searching for a class action lawsuit as I've read several complaints of the same issue on this website. I don't feel comfortable selling this car to anyone else with these problems either. Ford really needs to rectify this problem immediately before someone gets hurt or worse, dies! the car has 101,000 miles on it.

17 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 07/31/2019

I brought my car in for the purge valve and fuel tank deformation recall. It was checked and determined to be fine; but 30-45 days after my check engine light came on and it began stalling when starting, especially after I would fill up my gas tank. The initial recall said it would replace faulty purge valves related to the recall but since my car was checked already that I had to pay for the repair. My spouse also has Ford Focus and his was recalled a second time for the purge valve but mine was not included in the second recall. I think it had been malfunctioning for years. After I paid for the purge valve replacement my mpg went from 26mpg to 32mpg on the same driving patterns I've always had.

18 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 07/27/2019

I was traveling on an interstate in my 2012 Ford Focus 5 door hatchback on a trip with my son. My car had a half tank of gas remaining, so I refueled. I had to travel 100 miles home, I noticed the distance to empty only changed 20 miles or so. So from 436 miles to 416 miles to empty. The next day, I went to run errands, on a state highway, the distance to empty said 490 miles to empty and the gas gauge still showed the tank was full. I parked the car because of my busy schedule and used my spare vehicle. Last week, 8/27 I dropped my car off for service and perform recall 18s32 (fuel tank deformation, pcm, canister purge valve). The dealership called and said my fuel tank was deformed and would need replaced at my expense. Ford rejected the dealership claim that the fuel tank was not deformed enough, yet if I do not replace my tank, I will have a fuel system that is unreliable. I had no warning indicator lights or diagnostic trouble codes found on my vehicle. If I were to rely solely on my gauge and distance to empty, I would have run my car out of gas and put myself and family in potential danger. I have placed multiple calls with Ford service and dealership to have them explain what failed in the fuel system that I caused. There was nothing I did with the car that would be considered non typical usage. Finally, the dealership has photos they plan to share with me. I can provide to NHTSA when I pick up my car after service work has been completed to replace the fuel tank.

19 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 07/17/2019

I have had to replace the same part multiple times. The tcm seems like it needs replaced almost every time I get an oil change. Every time my car gets fixed another problem appears. My car will not go in reverse right now, and has a misfire in cylinder 1 which I know the misfires happen often. But there is also a leak in the evap which happened right after my tank was fixed for the deformation of the tank recall. My transmission ticks, and the clutch plate needs replaced. I have an automatic Ford Focus but the car is constantly shuddering. The vehicle has the clutch shudder when I'm at a complete stop and I press the gas pedal. It doesn't matter if it's light or not.

20 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 07/13/2019

Tl the contact owns a 2012 Ford Focus. Whenever the contact placed fuel in the vehicle, the tank would go straight to empty. In addition, fuel would leak from the vehicle and caused it to run out of fuel. On another occasion, after the fuel tank was filled, the contact drove off and the vehicle decelerated on its own. The contact called her boyfriend to help push the vehicle to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to the contact's home. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer and dealer were not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 152,300.

21 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 06/13/2019

Car has pressure in fuel tank and is starting to deform. The car is also stalling every time I fill the gas tank.

22 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 06/05/2019

There was recall 18s32 issued by Ford to fix fuel fuel tank purge valves. My car had stalled for this very reason and I had it towed to dealership to have fixed. Picked it up and problem happened again. Dealership already closed ticket. Brought car back in to have resolved, they spent two weeks advocating to flord for me that the issue could be resolved by replacing fuel tank and problem was a direct relation to recall. Ford denied claim and Ford response to customer was to keep car half full which was a quote they made about the original recall. Fuel tank needs replacement and Ford is refusing to fix the recall on my car and dealership is not taking responsibility for closing the ticket and ensuring the recall was fixed. I opened a claim with Ford yesterday. I don't understand as this is a safety issue and its a matter of time before it gets even worse especially when we are dealing with a serious fuel issue. Ford is telling me to keep it half full just like they said with the original recall and I dont understand why they are not addressing this serious safety issue that is a direct result of the recall. I am attaching the paperwork from the dealership. Please help me as Ford did the same thing with the transmission recall. I brought it in and they never fixed it and refused to address it again. I'm not the only one who is in this situation and Ford issues recalls and takes no responsibility with ensuring that the replacements needed are functional. I cannot afford another car and I am petrified with having a fuel issue or stalling out in a dangerous intersection that has already happened to me twice and I dont know what to do. This all happens while driving the car and it shows I have fuel but I really dont and the car will stall. My car according to the dealership needs a new fuel which is directly a result because of this recall.

23 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 05/03/2019

Tl the contact owns a 2012 Ford Focus. One year after the vehicle was repaired per NHTSA campaign number: 18v735000 (fuel system, gasoline), the check engine indicator illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle had not experienced a failure prior to the recall repair. The contact called zeigler Ford plainwell at 269-685-5801 (located at 1260 m-89, plainwell, mi 49080) where the recall repair was performed. The technician informed the contact that it sounded as if the canister in the fuel tank was fractured. The technician stated that the part was already repaired per the recall and would not be covered again. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to NHTSA. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 124,000.

24 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 04/24/2019

Takata recall after I went to a gas station and fill my tank up with gas drive about 2 miles the car start to stall in the middle of the street with me almost cause me to be in and accident luckily I pull to the side to avoid that then the check engine light came on suggesting I check fuel componet and service engine.

25 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 03/28/2019

Tl the contact owns a 2012 Ford Focus. The contact stated that an abnormal fuel odor was coming from the vents and the vehicle reeked of fuel. The odor was so strong that it was a distraction to the contact and her family's health. The vehicle was taken to joe hall Lincoln Ford (1617 21st street, lewiston, id 83501, (888) 706-3381) where the mechanics repaired a door latch, but did not repair the fuel tank. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 97,637.

26 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 01/23/2019

There have been several recalls for my car regarding the fuel system and gas tank, my car exhibited all the same symptoms, I took it to a Ford dealership that refused to do the work unless I pai'd $2,000 for an expired previous recall for a different issue that was unrelated. They claimed without doing that work if they did this work the car wouldn't work at all. I complained to Ford who told me dealerships don't have to honor recalls and to keep trying other dealerships. I asked what to do if none would do the work and they said pay out of pocket. Worse yet, the first dealership cleared the recall as not being needed, so now I have a damaged car that I can't get the recall work on that I can't afford to do myself. I'm going to just have to sell the car.

27 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2019

I received a recall notice a few months ago and I was told that I would receive another letter in about 3 months once the necessary parts were in stock. I hadn't received the follow up letter so I called my local Ford dealer and I was told that the parts were on back order but I could set up an appointment to have my vehicle inspected for corrosion to determine if I even needed the parts. The earliest appointment I could get was may 18th, just for the inspection; not even for the actual repairs. The recall is for the fuel vapor system and there's a warped part that is causing an inaccurate reading on fuel levels which means I have to maintain at least a half tank of gas at all times. My car is now leaking gas and stalling in traffic due to the issue. I live in a city with lots of steep inclines and hills and I have to avoid certain streets because my car has stalled and almost caused accidents. There is only one Ford dealer in my area. The only other dealer is about 30-40 minutes away.

28 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2019

Tl the contact owns a 2012 Ford Focus. When the accelerator pedal was depressed, the vehicle would not increase in speed. The contact also heard an abnormal popping noise coming from the fuel tank. The contact also mentioned that the gear shifter was stuck and would not shift into the correct gear. The vehicle was towed to capital Ford (3660 s carson st, carson city, nv 89701, (775) 882-5353) where it was diagnosed that the control module needed to be replaced. The dealer also stated that the vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 18v735000 (fuel system, gasoline), but the parts were not available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that they were not authorizing any rental vehicles. The failure mileage was 987,038.

29 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 12/13/2018

Check engine light illuminated while driving to work. The light was solid not flashing. Fuel gauge was at 1/2 tank. Its a 50 mile drive to work. Fuel gauge indicated 1/4 tank when I arrived at work. On the drive back from work heading straight to the dealer ship, fuel gauge was dropping quickly. Stopped to get fuel. Filled tank. Vehicle would not start. After waiting several minutes between attempted starts, on the fifth attempt it started very roughly. The drive to the dealer ship the car did not run correctly.

30 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 12/08/2018

My car stalls and shakes badly. When I have to put gas in my car, it takes 10mins for my car to start after words. It can have a full tank or half or under a half tank of gas and it does all this. My car has shut off on me while turning on a road. My car has stalled really badly while stopped at a red light. My car has stalled while trying to take off from a stop sign, red light or any thing that I have to slow down for. My gas needle will be at 3/4 of a tank and it will shoot up pass and over a full tank of gas. I have had to rent multiple cars from my local enterprise to take my daughter and grandma to dr appointments out of my local area. I have had my car towed to a shop cause it shut off and wouldn't start back with 50miles to go till gas was needed. My car has been broke down on the side of the road 2 times due to the gas needle. Now I have to drive this car around even longer until they can get the part for my car. Which will be 2 weeks from now. And then another 2-3 days for them to do the work.

31 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2018

Tl the contact owns a 2012 Ford Focus. While the vehicle was stopped in traffic at a red light, it suddenly shut off on two separate occasions. The vehicle was taken to jim oneal Ford (516 s. Indiana Ave, sellersburg, in) where it was diagnosed that the fuel tank valve was faulty. The vehicle was serviced per NHTSA campaign number: 18v735000 (fuel system) and the fuel tank valve was replaced, but the failure continued. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel tank was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 106,000.

32 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 10/22/2018

On your vehicle, the pcm software may not adequately detect a stuck-open canister purge valve (cpv) within the fuel vapor system. If the cpv malfunctions and sticks open, it can lead to excessive vacuum in the fuel vapor system, potentially deforming the plastic fuel tank. This can cause the following symptoms: illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (mil) with certain diagnostic trouble codes (dtcs) inaccurate or erratic fuel gauge indication inaccurate distance to empty (dte) engine stall and/or other drivability concerns related to stuck open cpv safety risk this may result in an engine stall while driving without warning or without the ability to restart, and can increase the risk of a crash. Unfulfilled promise the manufacturer said the piece would be ready in the first quarter of 2019; however, the recall still says no remedyalmost 6 months later.

33 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 10/22/2018

Ford issued a recall on this vehicle (manufacturer recall #18s32) NHTSA recall # 18v735 on octobe22, 2018. They still have not come up wtih a remedy other than to keep the gas tank at least 1/2 full. This is not acceptable to me.

34 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 09/07/2018

While sitting still my gas hand went from 1/2 a tank of gas to the full mark. Filled it up even though the gas hand was on full mark. It took $20 to fill it up and for it to kick off. Then when I started to start my car I hand to turn the key twice to get the motor started and then after I took my hand off the key it kept on cranking as if trying to start although it was already running. I drove it to lexington and could feel it revving the motor up without me doing anything. I turned around and drove back to frankfort and took it to big o's. They put a handheld tester on it and said it was either the oxygen sensor or converter for the engine light that was on. I informed them that I had replaced the O2 sensor just 3 weeks ago. He test drove it and said it revved up on him also which he said something was going wrong in the transmission. When I left from there the lights came on by themselves, the check engine light was on, and the gas hand was still past the full mark. On 9/7/2018 although it said the tank was full my fuel light came on. It also quit on me on 9/7/2018 going down a hill and I had to pull over for a while before it would start back up so I could get home. There was a recall on the tcm valve which has been replaced twice and the clutches in the transmission which has been replaced twice.
