Vehicle Shudder problems of the 2016 Ford Focus

The clutch has been replaced twice in the car for shuddering and shifting hard, now it is doing it a third time and we have been told its just out of the 1 year warranty of the 2nd clutch assembly installed and we don't qualify for the class action lawsuit. The car is not safe to drive and shudders so bad when accelerating that it shakes the whole car. I do not feel safe driving the car and Ford customer service told me there is nothing they can do. We can replace the clutch again for 1500. 00 our cost. . . Why would we pay when its been replaced twice since we purchased the car in 2017. When accelerating at a stoplight the car stutters and tries to shut down going into neutral. . . This caused someone to almost hit our daughter. This happened while accelerating from a stop light on a busy roadway. I am now fearful of it happening again.

My check engine light came on and I took it to a local mechanic. The codes were p1450 and po456 which are associated with the safety recall of the canister purge valve. The fuel tank is also deformed. My cars VIN is not associated with the recall so they will not cover it and I am expected to cover it. My car also has vibration at idle and has clutch shudder over 250 rpm. Ford fixed my transmission module in 2018 with a previous recall after it stalled several times. Now I am having issues again. The service advisor said they updated the transmission module in 2018 but the customer care agent tried to tell me they replaced the parts entirely in 2018 and not just updated. I notified her of the service advisors statement and then she went back to saying my VIN wasn't part of an open recall. My vehicle is at 74,563 miles and has already had several major issues regarding transmission and canister purge valve.

If Ford knew of the issues with its ridiculous transmission systems, why are these cars still being sold to lower income people who can't afford repairs? Again she assumed that was normal because we have been told that many times and we thought maybe the actual problem she had was fixed. It was not. The transmission issue will never be fixed from what I am learning today in regards to this 2016 Focus in the news . I am reaching out for someone to listen to all of us. It is not a coincidence that so many of us can not seem to get our vehicles fixed at least if they can not fix them take them back! I never knew this was such a huge ongoing problem with essentially defective vehicles. . Ford needs to be held responsible. We will take the car in again next week for them to tell us its "normal". Seat also has stopped adjusting.

I am currently spending 55 dollar a day on a rental so that I may continue doing uber which is how I earn my income. I do not want to pay money to get this car fixed and then another issue arises.

The vehicle shudders when accelerating and does not slow down properly when decelerating. This condition becomes worse on hotter days and when the engine is hot. Also, when taking off from a complete stop the car shudders the worse. The car also feels unsafe when trying to slow down. Hi, I notice shuddering in my vehicle when I accelerate form completer stop. I had this problem since I bought the vehicle 3 years ago at 24000 miles. I assumed its because of sudden acceleration that the wheels are slipping. But after reading the news about transmission problems in other Ford Focus, I believe the problem is transmission related. I consulted a mechanic on this and the associated Ford dealer informed me that the there was a warranty extensions for vehicles built till Nov 5th of 2015. My vehicle was built on Dec 21st of 2015. I already drove the vehicle for 85000 miles. I donot want to be burdened with expensive repairs once Ford decides later to extent the warranty to 100000 mile and I donot qualify.
