While using a highway on ramp, I heard a popping sound. I've been getting a rattle for a few weeks. I looked underneath today. The pass side rear coil spring is broken at the top. The dr. Side rear coil spring is broken off at the bottom. I drive mostly highway, 10 miles a day back and forth to work, so I don't understand how both rear coil springs would break. My fronts were replaced a few years ago by Ford dealer when they broke. This seems like a problem if all 4 coil springs break off the same vehicle.

Exiting the highway there was a loud pop from the front drivers side wheel well. Believed I had hit something but there was nothing in the mirror. Sound continued when the wheel was turned from hard left to hard right. Jacked car to see if something was stuck behind tire and when weight was lifted from suspension spring which was broken shifted and made contact with tire. If I had hit a bump when/or after spring broke it would have punctured tire causing lose of control.
Driver's side rear coil spring broke, causing the tire to blow. Manufacturer will be contacted by consumer.
