The contact owns a 2004 Ford Freestar. The contact stated that there was a loud abnormal noise coming from the front end of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who replaced the stabilizer arm and the front brakes but the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken for a state inspection when it was noticed that the bushings around the ball joint was cracked and the bolt fractured within the lower control arm. The inspector also indicated that the frame needed to be replaced and the vehicle was unsafe to drive. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure.
