1 Rear Suspension problem of the 2005 Ford Freestar

The contact owns a 2005 Ford Freestar. While driving 35 mph, the contact heard an abnormal noise coming from the rear passenger side tire. The vehicle was taken to a mechanic who diagnosed that the rear axle had a dent and caused the brake lines to rub against the tire. The rear axle needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was previously repaired per NHTSA campaign number: 12v006000 (power train). The failure mileage was 169,000.
