2 Brake Hoses, Lines/piping, And Fittings problem

Failure Date: 11/15/2018

Brake pedal was pressed all the way to the floor board of the car and the car did not react well to stopping as my daughter approached a stop light. Scary nontheless. Normal braking worked after that one incident. Anyway we brouht to private mechanic to check things out and he did not find anything wrong with brake line or pads. Still scary to think this might happen again.

3 Brake Hoses, Lines/piping, And Fittings problem

Failure Date: 12/09/2017

In my 2010 Ford Fusion sport, my brakes go soft and spongy any time the abs gets activated. Afterward, I have to push the brake pedal all the way to the floor to get any braking. If I pump the brakes several dozen times, it comes back to normal, but the main problem is when it unexpectedly goes spongy while driving. It is a collosal safety issue. I have had the dealership attempt to fix this several times by bleeding the brake line and changing out all of the brake fluid, all to no avail. On several Ford forums, it is allegedly a known issue with the hydraulic control unit. I am going to have it replaced, but Ford hasn't seen fit to issue a recall yet.

4 Brake Hoses, Lines/piping, And Fittings problem

Failure Date: 04/21/2017

Drive my car so I was in motion when I started to lose my brakes they went to the floor and I almost hit a car. Took it to mr tires to bleed air out of the brake line got it back from mr tires and I was in motion with my car and started losing my breaks, had a hard time stopping at a traffic light went through the light a little luckly the light had not turn yet for the other cars that were stop. Took it back to mr. Tires and they tried to solve the problem, still do not have my car they need to order the special part the abs module do not know how much this is going to cost because they also have to have a special tech come in and make sure it is calibrated right,. Why did Ford not put this on a recall there are a lot of complaints about this part some one is going to get hurt or killed with this happing to the Ford vehicles.

5 Brake Hoses, Lines/piping, And Fittings problem

Failure Date: 04/23/2016

Vehicle was stopped in front of a residence and in park with foot on the brake pedal. Suddenly and without warning the brake pedal went to the floor. Upon inspection, there was brake fluid inside the engine compartment and dripping on the street below. Vehicle was deemed undriveable and towed to the mechanic. Problem was diagnosed as a brake line failure where the line itself was intact, but the rubber hose had come loose from the crimped metal fitting. Attached photo show the section of hose that had come loose.

6 Brake Hoses, Lines/piping, And Fittings problem

Failure Date: 01/17/2014

Brake pedal goes to floor, used emergency brake to ovoid rear end accident, dealer claims metal brake line failure due to crimp from factory install. Location of fault was under air conditioning unit. Dealer ordered new line from tennessee, took a week, rental car $200 and line replacement $488. I suspect earlier rear brake issue was caused by this factory installed crimp.
