I started my car up and the brake , brake light, abs, and traction control light came on and ev don't turn on,no back up camera.
I stepped on my brakes for a red light on a city street and suddenly the brakes went to the floor, my dash lit up with several brake warning lights and I had to use a lot of pressure on the pedal to bring the car to a stop. I realized that I had lost most of by braking ability as well as regenerative braking. Checking the internet revealed that there is a recall out for this problem on Ford Fusions built in mexico during the time frame that my Ford was built in mexico using dot 3 brake fluid as mine uses. The recall(NHTSA #19v-904 Ford #19s54) states that it is non-VIN specific. I contacted my local Ford dealer and he said the VIN # of my Ford did not qualify for the recall??? I called Ford customer service and they said too that the VIN # disqualify 's me from this recall and could not tell me why. I was told to set up an appt. With a dealer, dealer , pay them 130. 00 for an analysis, and then Ford would add it to their database of problems for future consideration. The recall states abs modules are having valve problems but Ford has limited their acknowledgment of the problem to certain modules. Per the recall I talked to the gave them the data on my abs labels but they had no idea which date code, etc is covered by Ford. Another call to customer service resulted in a scripted response of we don't know which modules are covered and why my car is not. Escalating to the "manager of customer service was another brick wall, they refuse to tell me the specifics of the model/serial#, even the part number or date code of the modules covered so that I can verify what I have in my vehicle. Ford has put blinders on to the fact that more abs modules have problems than their engineers have identified. Checking the internet reveals many others were treated to the same denial that I have experienced!!.
As I was driving the brakes suddenly stopped working. Luckily I was in a parking lot . Advanced traction ,abs ,and check brake lights came on. Very dangerous stuff.
I was driving on the freeway when the brake light came on my dash then began to blink. I started to pull to the side of the freeway when I noticed my brakes were not working, I coasted to a stop and called triple a. The car was towed to a repair shop where I was told there was nothing wrong with the brakes. I drove the car out of the repair shop and when I came to the first stop sign again it felt like I had no brakes. I was only going about 15 mph so I was able to stop the car by pushing extremely hard down on the brake pedal and using the aid of my emergency brake. I returned the car to the repair shop and after 2 days they informed me that the car had a problem that only the dealership can fix. The car needed the brake system software updated because of a glitch resulting in the brake hydraulic control unit to get stuck open or react slowly.
Was driving out of a parking lot and tried to brake. Suddenly my brake light, abs light, and service advancetrac lights come on the dash. The pedal goes all the way to the floor and my car is not stopping. To avoid getting t boned I have to pull the emergency brake. Brought the car to get fixed and my abs/ hcu unit failed. The cost to repair was crazy high. Looked it up and Ford is currently doing a recall for 2006-2010 Ford Fusions for the exact same reason my brakes failed. They are not including hybrids in this recall for some reason. I would highly encourage Ford to include hybrids in the recall as clearly it doesn't matter if it is a hybrid or not. Ford Fusions from 2006-2010 are having this issue and it could have happened to me on the highway. Would have been fatal at that point because with no brakes going 65 mph, not good!.
Intermittently my brakes will go out, most often this happens after the vehicle has been off and I turn it off and try to reverse though it also happens when in drive. It has happens on access roads, the highway, my driveway and most often in parking lots. My car will roll and be completely unresponsive to the fact that I have my foot on the brake. The brake pedal goes soft and I can press it all the way to the floor. My brake light, abs light, etc on the dashboard all light up and my car keeps rolling. I try turning my vehicle on and off as sometimes even the emergency brake or putting the car in park will not get the vehicle to stop. I have almost hit other cars and pedestrians because of this issue and it is highly dangerous and come to find out a known glitch for some 2010 Ford Fusions.

When the weather gets below freezing the parking brake freezes - you can release the parking brake with the parking brake handle and the parking brake warning light goes off but the parking brake stays engaged with the driver unknowing that the parking brake did not release. When this happens the driver is not aware of the parking brake being engaged until the brakes get so hot that smoke begins to pour from the rear wheels with the possibility of this causing a fire from all the heat. Also when the parking brake does not release and you apply the brakes while driving the vehicle the brakes do not respond the same as when they are applied under normal driving conditions. This problem has been occurring every time the weather gets below freezing since the vehicle was bought new and the defect has been reported to the local Ford service department numerous times with them making an effort to correct this defect but it has not helped and the problem still exist. This vehicle is in north alabama where the weather gets cold but not in an area in the northern states where the weather is much colder. This problem happened again this morning and the low temperature for the night was 30 degree f and it has not rained in over a week. I own three other vehicles that are parked in the same area as this vehicle that do not have any problem as with this vehicle.
