Tl-the contact owns a 2013 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while driving at 55 mph, the vehicle engine revved with the see manual warning light illuminated. The contact managed to veer to the shoulder of the road turn the vehicle off wait for about 20 min turn the vehicle back on which resumed back to normal. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (camacho Mitsubishi 401 auto vista dr, palmdale, CA 93551 (661) 344-1000) where a diagnosed test was performed and determined that the transmission failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact to contact NHTSA to place a complaint. 2 Transmission Failure problem

Failure Date: 08/06/2018

Tl-the contact owns a 2013 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while stationary, in the reverse position, the transmission shift cable malfunctioned. The contact stated that the transmission failed to register any of the gear shift positions upon each shift. Consequently, the contact exited the vehicle, opened the hood and examined the transmission shift gear cable. The contact found that it had completely detached from the transmission. A dealer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000. Ad.

3 Transmission Failure problem

Failure Date: 09/15/2016

The contact owns a 2013 Ford Fusion. While driving 15 mph, the vehicle hesitated and lost power when coming to a stop. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that oil was leaking from the front driver side axle into the transmission, which was causing the transmission to fail. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 90,000. The VIN was not available.
