2004 Ford Mustang. The consumer stated that while traveling 15-20 mph the brakes did not let go, the road was wet. This happened on September 22,2005. Vehicle hit a curve, no one was injured. The consumer stated this has happened a couple of times before. The consumer took vehicle to dealer,and vehicle is currently in repair shop being fixed. Dealer told the consumer they were waiting to hear back from Ford. They could not do anything until Ford called the dealership back. There was property damage to vehicle, including rims, front bumper, and alignment.

While applying the brakes pedal went the floor. Consumer was able to maintain control of the vehicle, and drove it to the dealer for inspection. Mechanic informed consumer that the problem could not be duplicated.

The rear tires of my 2001 Ford Mustang gt convertible began to skid, since the road was wet. This is understandable, so I eased off the gas to allow the tires to catch, but the traction control must have turned on, and caused my car to begin spinning in circles. This made my car go off the road and into a tree. I believe the traction contrl system is faulty.

Intermittent problem in which engine will race when applying brakes, and foot off of gas pedal. Usually occurs when stopping at stop sign or pulling into parking place. Car will come to almost complete stop and then the engine will race and the car will lurch forward, and brakes cannot stop car. Brake pedal will go all the way to the floor without stopping vehicle. I have had to shift into neutral or park to stop the vehicle. Needless to say this is a very unsafe condition. Ar is at Ford dealer presently.

About 2 1/2 months ago my boyfriend was driving my car. He ask me if I had ever had the "brakes not want to work on me" I was driving and I came to a stop sign. There were 2 cars already setting at the sign. When I hit my brakes hard they did not go down as they normally would it felt like somethhing was keeping the brakes from working. I jerked the steering wheel to the right to keep from hitting the cars in front jumping a curb then it was like the brakes kicked in and started working and locked up.

When driving 30 mph and upon depressing brake pedal to make a normal stop steering wheel locked up, causing extended stopping distance, resulting in an accident. Many mechanics stated to the consumer that the weight shifts from the back to the front when the brakes are applied, causing the anti-brake system to become confused and lock up the steering wheel. The consumer would then have to pump the brakes quickly to disengage the locked steering wheel, the vehicle has been labeled as a lemon by the national transportation safety board and Ford credit service center and representatives.

Car was parked in driveway. Manual transmission was in gear and parking brake set. Driveway is approximately 30 degree incline. Auto rolled on its own approx 40 ft down driveway anh hit a tree. Ford failed to accept any defect responsibility in may. Today I read that Ford is recalling Mustang brakes and there have been no reported incidents. I have been unable to get Ford to acknowledge any responsibility.

Car will pull from side to side under light braking if the road is rough. Must fight with the steering wheel to keep car straight under braking. Also, the car will also wander the road if it is uneven or rough. Again the driver must fight with the steering wheel to regain control. The dealer has not been able to locate problem.
