Door Problems of Ford Mustang

Many times, the passenger door has unlocked and opened while the vehicle was in motion. The door ajar light will come on and it happens without warning at various speeds. I am the original owner and the car has approximately 28,000 miles.

Tl the contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that while driving 60-70 mph, the driver's side door came ajar. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and provided case number: cas21669880. However, no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000. The contact stated that the failure was similar to NHTSA campaign number: 16v643000 (latches/locks/linkages).

The contact owns a 2007 Ford Mustang. While driving approximately 15 mph, the interior door padding and lining separated from the door. The failure recurred on multiple occasions. The vehicle was taken to an upholsterer who stated that the door panels needed to be replaced on both sides of the door. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was notified. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.

While driving my Ford Mustang after a rain storm I heard a very loud water swishing noise and pulled off the road immediately. I quickly ascertained that the noise was coming from the driver's door. I was extremely shocked and concerned and hurried to the dealership. The door was taken apart in the service area and a large quantity of water poured out. I was told that this problem was not covered under the warranty and there was nothing they could do! when the door was apart I could clearly see that there were numerous wires and connectors that could clearly be in jeopardy from splashing water and the door interior was very wet. I nervously drove the car home and covered it and haven't driven it since because we have experienced a lot of rain. I am a disabled veteran with medical issues need to drive my car but I am afraid to.

Although car is 7 years old, mileage was only 18000+ when alternator needed replacing - $620. Out of warranty so no help from Ford or dealer. Other out-of-warranty issues include both interior door panels coming loose - upholstery shop had to glue them back on - $160. , and a canister vent valve had to be replaced - $310. Dealer also unable to cure boxcar-like ride.

Driver side window door area has a tapping and popping sound when going over bumps. The window and door area also produces a rubber rubbing sound when it is cold and or damp. The tapping noise goes away when it is warm outside. I have told star Ford of glendale many times that the noises are mostly when it is cold. Fords q. A. Suggested that it could have been from the convertible top or from the assembly line. Star Ford will not test the vehicle when it is cold out due to their work starting time. By only checking it when it is warm defeats the whole purpose of finding the problem. The service manager told me I should drive the vehicle until the noise eventually goes away and that I have 3 years warranty. Help, I need suggestions! Ford refuses to work on it any longer.

Passenger door was different color than rest of vehicle. Dealer tried to repaint but screwed up now vehicle has serios paint flaws.

Gap on lower passenger door. Excessive road noise where convertable top meets pilar on passenger side.

I own a 1999 Ford Mustang and I have a problem with my drivers side door. Last winter , ice and snow seem to catch at the bottom of the door. As a result you can't open the door and it has put a dent in the door. I see other Mustangs with a dent in the same place, so I know they have had the same problem.
