I have had my 2016 Mustang for 5 years already with 29k miles , my warrantee has expired. I recently notice I had check engine light for p0456 evaporative emission leak. I took the car to get smoke test by my local shop mechanic and it came that there fuel vapor coming out of capless filler neck, since every Ford model after 2013 don't have gas cap nomore I would have to replace the whole gas filler pipe which is around $500 for part and labor. In other cars you can just change gas cap for 20$ buh since in my case my car doesn't have gas cap I would have to replace the whole gas pipe filler and Ford doesnt offer any gas cap for my car. I feel like if I do change my gas filler pipe , mabey couple years from now it's gona start giving same check engine problem. I also feel safety concern I do live in arizona where gets really hot and with fuel vapor coming out capless filler it might cost a fire. I have 3year daughter that likes to ride in my Mustang but I don't let her intill this gets fix I don't want her smelling gas . Im hoping with this recall Ford can fix the issue and work on better design and or make a gas cap to fix evap leak without having to spend hundreds of dollards. Thank you.

Fuel line. There is a sensor that comes on when you put fuel in the vehicle. I think it has to do with the vapor line from past Ford recalls on Mustangs.

I was driving my 2015 twin eco-boost car on a city street, when I I heard something under hood. And right at that moment smoke was rolling out from under the hood. When I stopped and got out, thats when a witness told me she saw flames coming out from under the car it melted everything under the hood. Every wire was exsposed. I am waiting for report from fire department. I do have a picture of it. Fire chief said battery exploded.
While idling my car suddenly had cylinder #3 misfire and the spark plug blow out of the cylinder head.

Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that when his daughter would drive the vehicle at various speeds, she could smell a burning rubber odor emitting from the vehicle. While the contact's daughter was driving at 50 mph, she noticed white smoke coming from the engine without warning. The contact immediately pulled over the vehicle and called her father. The contact had the vehicle towed to an independent mechanic who discovered that the valve cover gasket had caused oil to spill over the manifold. The contact then called angela krause Ford(1575 mansell rd, alpharetta, GA 30009) where they informed him that there were no recalls on the vehicle and referred him to the manufacturer. The manufacturer had been notified of the failure and informed him that the dealer would have to perform a diagnostic to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer stated that they may offer financial assistance if the failure was determined to be linked to NHTSA campaign number: 14v774000(fuel system, gasoline); which did not include his vehicle. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was 56,000.
The fuel tanked cracked. It was no longer able to hold vacuum. The engine light came on and stayed on. The 2. 3l Mustang had a similar issue due to heat. It was inspected and fix at a local repair shop.

Sometimes loses power driving down the road.
2016 Ford Mustang with 2. 3l engine with automatic transmission. Engine stalls while coming to a stop at a stoplight and does not restart making the vehicle inoperable in the middle of the road.
Driving (in motion)at a high or low speed the check engine light came on immediately change the speed of the vehicle stalling which could've cause me my life and innocent other driver their life with the vehicle stalling as soon as the check engine light came on 270 highway in maryland. I tried to drive on the street to park my vehicle during a slowing speed this problem happened again that a vehicle almosted rear end my vehicle due to the sudden stop and stalling . I purchased this vehicle brand new less than 25000 miles . I was researching many Ford owners had this same issue with less or high miles . Why haven't Ford make a recall for everyone safety. Code p144c is a common problem reported by consumers.
The car will "shut down" (wrench error light) at any time, anywhere, any speed. Very dangerous!!! error code p2111 throttle body actuator stuck open. I have seen numerous posts on this. Ford really needs to fix this!!! I will no longer let my child drive this car. So unsafe!! it happened to me several times a day probably three times in the last week. The vehicle is in motion, highway, city, straight, turns, fast, slow.

Took my Ford Mustang to Ford and they told me they had to replace the fuel vapour hose. Once job was completed I asked if it was covered since I had done research and it was a recall this Mustang had. They said no, and ended up paying 350. 84. Is there any way I can get a refund?.
Fuel evaporator valve faulty. Valve would stick open, causing vehicle to stall directly after fueling. I ordered the part through a Ford dealership. Replacement of fuel evaporator valve eliminated the issue. Part cost $45.
My 2013 Ford Mustang would lose engine power at highway speed. Would still run very rough, chugging at about idle. After a re-start it would run for a short time and repeat the event. Had the throttle body replace with a new Ford one and the problem returned two weeks later. The "wrench" light would come on and I would lose power. Very dangerous at freeway travel. Ford says their recall does not apply to Mustangs.
Started my car this morning and as I was backing out, I noticed it was idling roughly, causing the car to shake. When stopped, the car felt like it might die and the rpm was inconsistent while accelerating and the car was moving. Very rough riding. Also, engine light came on and begin blinking.
When my engine is running it leakes gasoline not from the exhaust but behind it where the hose is at I would really like this reported I just bought this car from covina Chevrolet about a month ago.
Engine shuts down repeatedly and shuts off completely, causing a significant safety issue. Comments found on internet indicate this is a known problem for many production years. Surprisingly, no recalls from Ford or action taken by NHTSA.
Unexpected high rpm acceleration from rest. Started the engine and put the vehicle in. . . Rpms jumped to 4,000 and vehicle accelerated until brakes applied and engine shut off. Luckily no vehicles behind me. The vehicle left 20 foot long burn marks in the pavement before I could react and slam on the brakes and shut off the vehicle. Over the next 15 minutes, I carefully started the engine with my foot on the brake pedal. . . Each time the engine started normally and within a few seconds the engine accelerated to 3000 to 4000 rpms without me ever touching the accelerated (my foot stayed on the brake pedal). Each time I quickly hit the stop button. After waiting for several hours for the non-appearance of a tow truck. . . I carefully started the engine again. But this time, it ran correctly. I carefully drove to a nearby Ford dealership, where it now sits waiting for a diagnosis. If there had been any other vehicles behind me in the parking lot. . . I would have impacted on or more.
Defective canister purge valve.
I purchased a new 2018 Ford Mustang 2 dr 4 cyl ecoboost on July 9th 2018. On August 15, after having dinner with parents at the house, I went to visit some friends in davie and it was aprox 7:45 pm while driving on a 4 lane road divided by a median. Road has frequent speedbumps and the median has mature trees. While traveling on this road - I felt nauseous and placed both hands on the steering wheel and suddenly the road became blurry and I lost conciousness and struck a tree in the median. The car caught on fire and according to a police officer, he tried to revive me and to help me get out, however my legs were broken and injured. My right leg was broken and my left leg was badly injured. I was wearing a high boot on the left foot and no boot on the right foot in order to be able to drive comfortably. Seconds after the police officer removed me from the car, the car exploded. I believe that I was sold a defective car that leaked poisenous gases which caused me to pass out and crash I to a tree. Had it not been for the police officer, I would have died trapped in the burning car.
My car keeps overheating and consyming to much oil I check it everyday and its a 2016 Ford mustag ecoboost 2dr coupe with only 40000 miles.
I was losing a large amount of fuel every time I filled up. The leak starts immediately upon turning on the fuel nozzle. I am also experiencing a check fuel cap warning and a low pressure in the fuel system. This has caused the car to not start and several backfires when it does turn over. There is also fuel leaking directly onto my exhaust pipe at every fill up which could cause a fire. This leak was caused by the plastic cover over the metal filler neck. Moisture and dirt caught in the plastic caused the metal to erode and break a part.

This letter is to document a significant issue with our Ford shelby gt350, VIN 1fa6p8jz8h5526334, model yr 2017, color: white/blue, current mileage: approximately 1600. In early March 2018 upon exiting a store parking onto and pulling onto yorba linda blvd the vehicle experienced a sudden power loss and engine stop. The vehicle would not restart as it rolled down the street. We managed to pull it to the curb. By cycling the ignition system the vehicle restarted on a fourth attempt. Each starter cycle was approximately 10-15 seconds. No warning lights were apparent pre or post the event. Approximately 1 week later, in mid-March 2018 the vehicle experienced the same power loss again while pulling away from a stop sign into an intersection, again in yorba linda, CA. The vehicle was pushed out of the intersection, the starter cycled, it cycled twice for approximately 15 seconds each period and on the third attempted restated. No warning lights were apparent pre or post the event. Most recently the vehicle experienced 2 dangerous events. The vehicle was going downhill on a 2 lane highway at approximately 60 mph when all power was lost. On a downhill the vehicle coasted in gear with compression engine braking slowing the vehicle. The vehicle was pulled over into the pull out. The instrument panel was fully functional but no engine power, no warning lights other than a yellow square saying the accessories were powered. No warning lights, no problem indicator lights. The engine started immediately after reaching a full stop with a single press of the ignition button. Later the same day while attempting to get to a dealership the vehicle again lost power while beginning to accelerate. Speed was 64 mph. The vehicle had no warning lights or other indicators illuminated. The vehicle was driven immediately to the nearest dealer. Ford has been notified.

The purge control valve possibly also described as a purge canister valve is defective and is not available for replacement purchas through many auto part stores. This product causes excessive raw fuel to enter into the engine causing major engine damage along with harmful emission fumes into the environment. While in idle the car tends to shut off or drop below standard idle rpm. There is also loss of power due to this defect part. Ford does not cover this part service under their warrenty and consumer is forced to pay an expensive service to get problem resolve due to the fact that they are the only one with access to this part. This should be a concern and under the emissions law and be covered under warrenty through the manufacture. On a side note, the emmisions control module is also effected and consumer is forced to pay an addition cost for this repair as well. This is a problem with majority of the new Mustangs year ranging for 2015-2017.
Tl the contact owns a 2001 Ford Mustang. After refueling the vehicle, a fuel leak was discovered underneath the vehicle. The vehicle was examined by an independent mechanic who discovered that a rubber washer in the fuel system was faulty and needed to be replaced. The washer was replaced and the failure was remedied. While driving at night, the low and high beam headlights were very dim and the driver was unable to see the road. Also, while the vehicle was parked on a incline with the emergency brake engaged, it rolled down the driveway and into the street. The cause of the failures was not determined. Estabrook Ford (3689 14th st, pascagoula, ms) and the manufacturer were notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 64,000.
Car smoking at idling and driving white smoke. Known issue or recall and my car is experiencing this issue but is not showing up for my VIN. Smoking so much it is getting inside my cabin making it hard to breath.
So the car has a actuator control system stuck open. I have had it at the Ford dealership twice now and will be going back on Monday again for the same issue. When it starts up it runs at the 1 rpm then it goes down from there, not letting the car getting any fuel or speed for it to go forward or backwards. I have cleared the codes and works for a few days but then it does it again. This last time the code wouldn't clear off so I was stuck on the side of the road to have it towed to the Ford dealership. The code on it is p2111. Just very frustrating knowing that I cant really on my car to get where I need to be. The first time I was in my driveway fixing to go to work when it happened and couldn't get out of my driveway. The second time happened again in my driveway but took it to autozone to clear the codes. And the third time I was driving home from work last night on 01/06/2018 when it stopped my car on the highway in the middle of the night. Just doesn't get any power to the car. My copy of the invoice is in my car which is at the billingsley Ford dealership now.
I was driving home one evening when stopped at a traffic signal,my Mustang throttle for unknown reasons the accelerator was stuck on the floor and remained wide open for approxaimately 1. 5 miiles before I wa able to stop my vehiclesa, without injuries or death to myself and the public. This happened again with this vehicle tonite with my son driving . He stated the throttle/accelerator had stuck wide openwith the accelerator on the floor. As he was unable to shut the vehicle off . This seems to be a large issue wityh Ford vehicles only to find no recalls but with one make the escape. The vehicle is a danger to public safety abroad for you never know when thids will happen. I was in rush hour traffic and am grateful by blowing the horn and the ability to think quick no one was killedb. My vehicle is being taken to the Ford dealer in the am to coorect an issue Ford motor company needs too address . After researching complaints thereare numerous complaints with no results.

Car in motion; on 10/09/2017 - I was driving 80 mph (which is the legal speed limit), on major texas highway 130 toll road, engine stalled, car hard to control, difficult to pull off the road to safety. Attempted to restart car several times, after 7 or 8 times it finally started. It had a rough idle, and continued to stall out 6 more times for the remaining 30 miles until I reached my home. There are no stores, or safe places to pull off of the road on this toll road, and it is a very long stretch of highway to be left stranded on. I've contacted Ford service and they said there is nothing they can do, my car is a 2016 Mustang which I bought brand new. . .
When driving engine reved up then when trying to turn left across road gas pedal would not work. Apparently they have an accelorator pedal position sensor and it went bad. This could have been a fatal accident by not being able to get out of moving traffic by gas pedal suddenly quitting to work. They shouldnt be allowed to use these due to serious. Ature of how they suddenly without. Orice quit works g while driving. I was on a four lane highwy trying to turn off on the side that crossed two lanes and car stopped accelerating abruptly when I turned and would. Ot accelerate with oncoming traffic.
