My 2011 Mustang when driving at around 40mph the traction control light come on and the front end starts to wobble it don't happen all the time. I took it to have it check and was told the rack and pinion needed to be replaced. The don't have but 56000 miles. I did some research and found out Ford recall several vehicles with this same problem. From what I found out that it might be a heat over the electric gearbox.

This is a safety recall issue loosing power steering in my Mustang while driving. After further research on this problem Ford does have lots of recalls on this problem. But didn't find my year 2014 for a recall. The problem is I did loose my power steering while driving and this is unsafe since I do drive my car fast. My default light or warning light did come on as I pulled over and found it hard to steer my vehicle. This is the first time my car has done this and will monitor the problem. I tried to restart the car my turning the key off and on a few times but did not fix the problem. So I reset the system by disconnecting the battery cables and that did fix the problem and got back my power steering on my Mustang. There is no power steering pump on this car as the rack pinion is controlling the power steering.

Recall 00s33 having to do with steering gear retaining bolts. States this can cause misalignment. Brought in to have fixed. My tires on the front were bald on outside. Told by dealer this is caused by misalignment. Misalignment caused by recall. Dealer or Ford motor CO. , should pay for new tires and alignment which was caused by recall to begin with. I would like to know my rights and course of action as dealer is hedging about picking up cost.
