I was driving on the highway (395 south). Car just stalled. No power nothing. Almost caused accident. I was lucky to pull on the the shoulder. I am familiar with the issue occurred on Lincoln/ Ford. Even though there is recall for certain models for fuel pump relay module, Ford denies it and put my life and others in danger. My wife came picked me up and went autopart store and got the part, installed it. Back on the road. . .
I parked the car after work and the next morning it wouldn't start. No warning, no check engine lights or anything. I have to have the car towed to the dealership and find out 3 days later it is the fuel pump driver module. Why wouldn't I get any warning this was going out?.
The fuel pump control module is failing, which is causing the engine to not start and or keeps stalling when turning the key. My mechanic gave me the recall and directed me to my nearest Ford dealership, but when given the VIN number they said there is 0 recalls on my vehicle. Therefor this recall is VIN specific and will not cover my repairs. The mechanic did agree this is a problem with the make and model but not specific to my vehicle. Upsetting and confused why my vehicle is not included in this recall.

Customer stated vehicle stalled out while driving down the road from her house and would only crank without starting afterwards. No diagnostic trouble codes stored in vehicle. VIN is not covered under the current fuel pump control module recall.
My engine light is came on. At first it was reading that my fuel pump was going bad. I've recently replaced my fuel pump and now my engine light is back on and its reading two different codes. One is a leak with my gas cap. The other one is eletrical. My car has cut off me as if I've ran out of gas and I wasn't really out of gas. When I have someone come and bring me gas in a gas can, while pouring the gas in its leaking right out as if my thing isnt connected or I had a line thats cut. My gas meter isnt working properlu either and when I put my car in reverse all of my lights turn on and when I put it in drive they cut off. My stereo freezes and cuts on and off.

Car would not start. After two separate tows to dealership, fuel pump driver module was found to be faulty and was replaced. This part was recalled on other 2014 Taurus' in relation to 16v62100. The faulty part from my vehicle matches the numbers in the recall letter Ford motor CO. Sent to dealerships. Ford and local dealership are deigning reimbursement for this repair.
The car will stall while driving or in park. We have put 2 new fuel pump modules in it and now it is doing again, needing a third replacement. It has 111,000 miles on it and the last one was put on just 6 months ago. There is a recall for 2013 Taurus for the fuel pump but it doesn't show my VIN as being covered by the recall. This is dangerous. It just shuts off the engine while you are driving. I have seen other complaints that are exactly the same issue. It happens while driving and parked at any rate of speed.
The fuel pump on the car.
My fuel pump went bad. My vehicle is no longer operating and I think that the fuel pump for my specific vehicle needs to be investigated for a recall. Nhtsa campaign 16v621000 report date: August 25, 2016 vehicles affected: 77,502 consequence: a loss of power to the fuel pump will cause the engine to stall or prevent the vehicle from starting, increasing the risk of a crash what you should Ford will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the fuel pem part number and replace the fuel pem, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on December 1, 2016. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 16s31. Summary: Ford motor company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 Ford Taurus, Ford flex, Lincoln mks and Lincoln mkt vehicles equipped with 3. 5l gtdi ecoboost engines and 2013-2015 Ford Taurus police interceptor vehicles. A component within the fuel pump electric module (pem) may overheat causing a loss of electrical power to the fuel pump.
Car is parked in driveway, and without warning, the car will no longer start. Car attempts to start and cranking last for approximately 5 seconds, but nothing happens. Searches online as to the cause lead me to believe this is the fuel pump control module, a faulty part at the center of safety recall 16s31. However my model is not covered under the recall.
The fuel pump control module failed, rendering the vehicle unable to start, steer, or brake properly. The vehicle was started but not moving. It stalled and was unable to start again. I know this was a known issue for earlier models of the same vehicle. I have repair invoices, but am currently unable to upload them to the website.

Working on 3rd fuel pump , and also 2 fuel relays and a canister . . Keeps stalling leaving me stranded. This has happened multiple times befor 06/28/2020.
Vehicle brought in for non start issue. Fuel driver module replaced on 06/25/20. Now my sync is inoperable after fuel pump repair.
I was about to go to lunch at work when my car wouldn't start. The automotive instructor at the technical college I work at told me it was the fuel pump and system. He check the fuel tank by and finally got it to start. When I git ready to go to work July 6th at 7am, my car wouldn't start again and hasn't started since I drove it last on Sunday July 5th. I have been without a vehicle since and now I'm trying to trade it for a better vehicle. My 2015 Ford Taurus only has 63,300 miles.
Tried to start car one morning had it towed to a dealer and it turns out it was the fuel pump drive module and replacing it fixed the problem. There was a recall for Ford Taurus of 2013-2015 and they said my vehicle was not affected, but clearly it was.
While driving my vehicle home from work the engine began shuddering, surging, and finally died leaving me stranded on the side of the road causing potential hazard for myself as well as other drivers. I towed the vehicle to my mechanic who told me it could be either the high pressure fuel pump or the fuel pump control module. The vehicle only has 61,000 miles on it making it just outside the manufacturer's 60,000 mile warranty. Ford refused to extend any kind of warranty when the mechanic called. When I checked the issue online I learned of a 2016 Ford recall regarding the fuel pump control module for 2013-2015 Ford vehicles which apparently does not cover my car. Both the mechanic and I are baffled that a fuel pump could suddenly fail with only 61,000 miles on the vehicle and he was very surprised that Ford would not do anything to even assist with the cost of the repair. As far as the fuel pump control module, I am still in the process of talking with Ford about it.
2013 Taurus limited with 71,300 miles would randomly stall only like 3 times though. I would have to restart it to continue on. But on 3/3/20, I was was ready to leave work and my Taurus would churn but not start. The light panel and headlights came on and the battery was not dead. I had to leave it in the parking lot overnight. The next day I had to have it towed to a Ford dealership. I had done the research so I knew what the problem was so I let the dealership know. Sure enough, the fuel pump module needed to be replaced at my expense of $341.

The 2013 Ford Taurus was stalling intermittently and taken to the garage where the diagnostic code showing up was p0627, which points to a fuel pump module failure had occurred. This seems like the same issue as shown in NHTSA campaign number: 16v621000 but did not include my 2013 Taurus and seems that it should have. Summary from NHTSA campaign number 16v621000: Ford motor company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 Ford Taurus, Ford flex, Lincoln mks and Lincoln mkt vehicles equipped with 3. 5l gtdi ecoboost engines and 2013-2015 Ford Taurus police interceptor vehicles. Tl- the contact owns a 2014 Ford Taurus. The contact stated that that the fuel pump module failed. The contact purchased the part at framingham Ford dealer, (1200 worcester rd, framingham, MA 01702,) and was taken to an independent mechanic where the fuel pump module was replaced. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to NHTSA. The failure mileage was approximately 89,000. Aw.
While vehicle was driving down the road it suddenly lost power and stopped. Vehicle was able to be pushed off of the roadway and found to have a faulty fuel pump module.
Tl-the contact owns a 2015 Ford Taurus. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle stopped moving, but was iddle. The contact coasted to the shoulder and the vehicle did not start. The vehicle was towed to an unknown independent mechanic, they recharged the battery and the vehicle worked well for couple of days. The failure ocurred again and the vehicle was towed to the dealer cortese Ford/Lincoln, 2500 w henrieta rd, rochester, NY 14626, they determined that the fuel pump module was defective and needed replacement. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 82,316. Bp.
Went to start vehicle and the vehicle's fuel pump did not make a sound. Checked the fuses to the fuel pump and they checked out good. Took a power probe to the fuel pump and fuel pump worked. Discovered it was the fuel pump relay behind rear seat on passenger side. Replaced and it fixed the issue.
While driving at 55 mph on busy road, vehicle lost power. Almost rear-ended before being able to coast into empty parking lot. Went into limp mode. Could not accelerate. Vehicle maintenance indicator with wrench came on. Turned car off. Waited one minute. Car restarted. No indicator light. This is the second time this has happened with this vehicle. The first time this happened on 6/18/19, I researched and found a recall 16s31 for models built in chicago. My vehicle VIN was not included in recall. I took the car to dealership, they could not find an error code or recreate failure. I still had them replace the part under the recall at a cost to myself. Part was new fuel pump control module. I filed complaint 11220834 with NHTSA. My fear is this is going to happen again and if I am on the expressway, the results could be catastrophic.
Car will crank but not start. No issues until the no start. In a parking lot and was backing up and when put it in drive it died. It would crank and start for a few seconds and then die. And then it stopped cranking. Unplugged fuel pump control module and then plugged back in and started fine but with a check engine light.
Takata recall, faulty fuel pump, with no check engine light on, or no warning. Drove it to work just fine , and when I got of 8 hours later it wouldnt turn over. Like I said no warning whatsoever. Had to have it towed off my work parking lot and took it to a Ford dealership and they said it was the fuel pump.
Fuel pump relay overheated and caught on fire behind back seat near gas tank. Part melted and vehicle is inoperable. Toddler car seat was located in front of fire location.
Car stalls without warning while driving. Has happened twice since I bought the car this spring. Once I was completing a turn from a stop the other time I was doing a consistent speed of about 40mph. No warning lights before or after, just a notification the 'transmission not in park' once the car wasn't running. Each time the dealer put it on the computer and said there is no issue found. There is a recall for 2013-1015 Taurus however my VIN isn't included in the fuel pump electric module replacement though stalling is an issue cited in that recall. Dealer says there is no problem with the fuel pump electric module because the computer says so. I left my car at the dealership for about 3 weeks thinking it might be an electrical problem since the gps intermittently doesn't work the panic alarm goes off multiple times a week for no reason. Dealer suggests replacing the sd card. I am afraid to drive my car, especially with the deaths recently from cars stalling. I will most likely pay out of pocket to change the fuel pump electric module as I can't avoid the highway forever. I will be happy to send you the part once it is replaced if it will help investigate the problem. Hopefully that will solve the problem, otherwise I am not sure what to do. Help please! I don't have police reports or accident photos thankfully.
Around July 09, 2019 my power steering went completely out while I was driving. This was very scary and dangerous. I contacted Ford after reading several reviews of the same thing happening to other 2014 Ford Taurus sel. Ford stated that while the recall applies to other 2014 Taurus sel, it does not apply to mine. I had to pay $2300 at roy obrien Ford to get my vehicle repaired. Ford has refused to extend the recall to include my vehicle in this recall. I am requesting help from the nshp and the dot to help me please. On October 17, 2019 my car cut off while I was driving again. This very dangerous. It would not restart. My vehicle was towed to the dealer again and I was advised that my fuel pump went out. Again, there is a recall on the fuel pump for 2013-2017 Ford Taurus sel but again . . My vehicle is not included. I am requesting an investigation into this mattter immediately.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Taurus. While driving 50 mph, the vehicle began to hesitate and the power train fault and check engine warning indicators illuminated. The contact was able to park the vehicle on the side of the road before the engine seized. The vehicle was unable to start and was not drivable. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who associated the failure with NHTSA campaign number: 16v621000 (fuel system, gasoline). The vehicle was also towed to gibbes Ford (located at 2840 st matthews rd, orangeburg, SC 29118, (888) 337-9749) where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 125,000.
Fuel pump control module failure. Vehicle stalled in traffic. No warning. Would not restart. There was a recall on this same issue, but my specific VIN was not included.
Tl the contact owns a 2013 Ford Taurus. The contact stated that the vehicle would not start automatically on the first attempt. During the second attempt, the vehicle cranked, but was not turning over. The contact used the key to start the vehicle; however, the vehicle was just cranking. The vehicle was not towed. An independent mechanic came to the contact's residence and diagnosed that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The contact called paul cerame Ford (11400 new halls ferry road, florissant, mo 63033, (314) 838-2400) and informed them of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 16v621000 (fuel system, gasoline). The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.
The vehicle automatically shuts off with no warning. You may be in the middle of heavy traffic or in your driveway - it shuts off with no apparent reason. The fuel pump module was replaced 1 year ago and has no begun the same thing again. We purchased this car thinking it would be safe for our son. Now we do not want him driving it.
