I attempted to start my vehicle in my garage. Motor would crank but not start. I knew it was a fuel issue, so I googled the problem. I came across an issue with the fuel pump relay on 2013-2015 Taurus, flex, and inteceptors. Mostly related to law enforcement vehicles and civilian super charged engines that had a recall for this fuel pump relay modular. My Taurus is only a sel, and I saw where many other people were having the same issue with their everyday 2013-2015 Ford vehicle. These people replaced their own fuel pump relay module and fixed their problem. I decided to try it myself. Sure enough; I, a single mom on a very fixed income, gets a ride to my local auto parts store, buys the fuel pump relay module for $75. 00, install the part myself, and it worked like a charm! there needs to be a recall on all of these 2013-2015 Ford Taurus's so people like myself and the other few I came across online can get our money back, and prevent others from having to go through the panic of having only one vehicle (that should be very dependable) that won't start. I called Ford and they told me they would not issue any recall, the recall had to come from NHTSA. I am truly hoping that someone at the NHTSA will address this issue ASAP.

Vehicle occasionally would stall at intersections or traffic lights; eventually the car would not restart at all. I had towed to Ford dealer in knoxville TN where they diagnosed the problem as the fuel pump, which they have replaced at $905 plus tax. I read for recalls and came across 16v621000 which completely describes my car's problem. The vehicle has only done 125,000 miles. A fuel pump should not have issues with mileage. Please can you help me obtain reimbursement. In two occasions a car nearly hit me from behind as I was stalled.

Vehicle randomly stalled because of faulty fuel pump relay module. Only turbocharged Taurus model recalled.

"takata recall" the first occurrence was in March 2018. I am not the first owner. I got the vehicle exactly 2 months and it won't accelerate. It was towles to a garage and I paid $975. 00 9fuel pump and electrical. On 2/4/2019, the vehicle stopped accelerating while I was in traffic again.

The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified but no assistance was offered. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 75,000. Jft.

The fuel pump module had to be replaced I read in other Ford taurauses that this was a recall. I do not see that as such on here. My car would not start while it was stationary. Every time I got gas it would hesitate before starting.

I went to mall came out and car would not start. Towed to webb Ford next day and mechanic said fuel pump electric module (pem) overheated causing loss of power to fuel pump. A loss of power to the fuel pump will cause the engine to stall or prevent the vehicle from starting, increasing the risk of a crash. Cost to fix was 400. 00.

My first problem was the fuel pump. The second was the power steering. Now I am having an engine problem that I am waiting on a mechanic to check.

The driver side and passenger side door locks do not work with the key fob. At times they appear to be locked, but are not. This occurred after a recall where the interior door handles were replaced. There is a recall of the fuel pump control module (16s31) for cars 201301015, but mine is not one of them. It should be!.

My car will not start it seems like it is out of gas but it doesn"t be. I have taken it back to the dealership where I got it from and they just tell me to buy batteries. It has done this at least 5 times. Another Ford dealership put a fuel pump relay switch on and it did it again. When it does this it is parked.

The manufacturer was also contacted and made aware of the failure. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was 85,251.

My Taurus stalled at a red light, the engine turned over, but would not start. I was in the middle lane of a very busy road. I was towed to a nearby service center. They had to replace the fuel pump control module and fuel pump and hanger with sender. It turns out that Ford had a recall for 77,502 2013-2015 Ford Taurus's for the fuel pump electric module. This part was overheating causing lack of power to the fuel pump. I talked to the service manager, victor hyer, at coconut point Ford, estero, FL and he in a very unprofessional way told me that it wasn't their problem, I needed to talk to Ford customer service. I had talked to them on numerous occasions starting 7/11/18 for my power steering failure, that Ford had recalled over 400,000 cars including 2013 Ford Taurus's (safer car complaint number 1112315) they would not let me talk to anyone above the level of supervisor.

Engine stopped running without warning. Would then crank but not start. Diagnosed the fuel pump relay as the problem. Removed and replaced and car started. Removed part was on recall list for different model Taurus and the Ford cars but not mine (2013 Ford Taurus sel). I received no recall notice. Ford fuel pump relay part number aa8a-9d412-CA with supplier p/n d7790045-0c was oem on my car. This part is listed as faulty on the Ford web site but not for my car model and I received no notice. This is a very dangerous failure mode.

The vehicle will sometimes crank but will not start. It happens more often on hot days and when parked with the passenger side towards the sun. The local dealer is unable to diagnose the problem. I left the car with the dealer from 6/8/2018-6/20/2018 and the car only failed to start one time and they were unable to find the reason. Since picking the car up it has failed to start three times. I checked online and found that there is an issue with the fuel pump relay. I pulled the relay from our car and it is the same one that has a recall except ours is on a Taurus limited not the sho. I recommend recalling all vehicles with the same fuel pump relay regardless of model/trim. I have attached a photo of our car's fuel pump relay.

Vehicle drove fine with no warning of any issues. Started car, drove from 1 parking space to the next and the engine died. Car would start but on stayed on for a few seconds, then stalled out again. Tried this over and over again, realized it wasn't going to actually run. Took it in to Ford, they diagnosed it having problems with the fuel pump module. I have seen several recalls on fuel pump modules in specific 2013 Taurus models, but mine isn't included.

The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified, but no solution was offered. The failure mileage was 79,000.

This vehicle stalls while in motion on both city streets and on highways. At times it will not run at all. I learned that certain 2014 Ford Taurus models have been recalled for this same problem. I had it repaired in October 2017, at the local Ford dealer and the fuel pump module was replaced. Presently the same problem has re-occurred.

Fuel pump control module failed causing engine to stall and not able to be restarted. Fortunately at the time I was at the side of the road idling, however I was 5 minutes away from getting on the highway. Parked car, and purchased replacement fuel module from Ford dealer and able to get car running again. Ford has issued recall 16s31, however my '14 Taurus with a naturally aspirated 3. 5l is not included in that recall. Part number of the module is aa8a-9d412-CA and supplier code doesn't appear to be one of the stated suppliers that is ok to use. Supplier code appears to be -oc. See attached photo and compare to information supplied in recall 16s31. Replacement part is p/n aa8z-9d370-b. Dealer cost with tax for the part was approx. $70.

Takata recall my 2015 Ford Taurus keep giving me the same problems after I went to a Ford dealer and purchased the fuel pump module and replace it 3 weeks later the car stall with me while I was driving on the thruway. In this matter I truly think that its unsafe to drive a vehicle with that type of problem, and it happen not just once but three times the vehicle is only 2 years old.

I purchased a 2015 Ford Taurus with 34,000 miles on it the beginning of October 2015. About a month ago I had a problem with the vehicle stalling out and then not starting. I spoke to someone at the local Ford dealership and was told to reset the fuel pump relay. After doing that the car cranked fine. I did online research of the vehicle and discovered that the 2013 to 2015 fuel pump relay on many of the same vehicles have been recalled. I searched my VIN number and found that my particular vehicle was not a part of the recall. In my research I also found out that this particular part shuts off the fuel supply in the event of an accident to prevent fire or explosion. And also that usually this part lasts throughout the lifetime of a vehicle unless it is faulty. Two days ago the car stalled and again will not crank I tried to reset the fuel pump relay again but it will still not grea to prevent fire or explosion. I was told by Ford customer service that the national highway traffic and safety administration and the engineering department of Ford need to be contacted to further help me in this matter to determine if this part should have in fact been added to the recall list. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not included. The approximate failure mileage was 193,000.
