Car would suddenly jolt forward even though I was securely stopped at a light or stop sign. Sometimes, it felt like it jolted forward as much as 4 feet - even though my foot was firmly on the brake at all times. (I tried turning off the a/c to see if there was a power surge causing the problem. A/c on or off made no difference at all. ) this would happen so often, that I would have to stop more than a car length away from all intersections or other vehicles already stopped so I would not hit them when the car jolted. It became an expected event . Brakes were not sufficient to hold the car back from these sudden jolts - unfortunately. Coming home one night, car started accelerating beyond the amount I was pushing the gas pedal and then it suddenly lost power even though I was now trying to accelerate. New dash lights - wrench, airbag, and gas all came on. Mileage display disappeared and, instead, car showed that car was empty of gas (I had filled the tank night before and was showing "full" prior to this sudden change with vehicle. ) barely made it home and car did not accelerate enough to go up the slightest incline of driveway apron. Repair was made to transmission speed sensor. Less than a week later, I am noticing the same sudden power surge/sudden loss of power. I try to convince myself that it's just because I was so scared driving home that night. Less than a month, the car is doing the same thing and I am having it towed back to dealership. From complaints I've seen on internet, this is a common problem and this should be subject to a recall. I believe the replacement parts are also defective. The older woman I bought the car from was told she was at fault for an accident that I now believe was completely this problem! she was been told she is not allowed to drive (which is why she sold me her car) and it is the fault of the car!!!!!.

Was driving and all of a sudden the speedometer started jumping around, when I stepped on the gas the rpm's reved up high. I stopped at the stop sign and the car accelerated by itself into the intersection I came close to hitting another car! I have had the vehicle speed sensor replaced twice already and the transmission replaced . As I was driving it home the car hesitated in the intersection then jerked you can feel the pulsing of the car as it accelerates and deaccelerates. It is a safety hazzard.

The Ford Taurus x has 57,945 miles on it. Two times while driving the vehicle on the interstate highway the dash showed all zeros and the car lost power. The check engine light came on. The car exhibited slow acceleration and unusual shifting. I took it and had the obd code read. The code indicated that it was a speed sensor in the transmission (p720). The code was reset and the car is currently being driven. It happened twice within a two-week period. I own two 2008 Ford Taurus and it happened on the same day to both of them. I will be filing incident information on the other vehicle too.

The car has had yransmission rebuilt last year and im still making paymemts on the car. Then 4months ago I had the speed sensor replaced ran good until day before yesterday when it starting acting the same way it was before I got it fixed so I jmow its the speed sensor again how many times do I have to fix this crap before it gets recalled or before spmeone gets into an accident or dies.
I have a 2013 Ford Taurus limited edition. My car started having problems. I was at a stop started to move when the light turned green. The wrench light came on . I had no gas pedal. Car was shacking very bad. I coasted to the side of the road turned engine off. I restarted my car and it seemed fine. This has happened several times. I took my car to commercial Ford in aransas pass TX. They thought it was throttle body speed sensor but they didn't know at that time. Took my car home it continued to have problems and finally set a code. They were right. They want 800. 00 dollars to repair my car. The problem is the part is on back order. As of today there are 1562 on back order. This is going to take along time that I will be without a vehicle. I have researched online there are a lot of complaints about this same problem. This is a dangerous and unsafe problem. I don't understand why Ford doesn't recall these cars before someone gets hurt. Please investigate and get Ford to fix my car and the 1562 other cars that are having this same issue.

Harsh transmission engagement and loss of power with higher rpm and a max speed of about 20 mph- replaced speed sensors tss & oss . Same problem occurred again 11,518 miles later replacing the same parts which Ford or dealer would not cover at a cost of $593. 00. TSB 07-21-11 replacing with parts aa5z-7h103 and aa5z-7m101 on both occasions of failure. Had to limp home both times for many miles. Wife now refuses to drive car. I can't believe Ford doesn't stand behind a problem like this when it has a TSB and a multitude of the same reported problem.
