My son was driving down hwy 281 and all of a sudden locks started going up and down like crazy, traction control, stability track, engine light all came on and car would not accelerate. Thank goodness my fianc was with him and they managed to get home safely. The next day all the same things above plus backup camera not working and when it park, the box around p kept flashing on and off. Now car won't accel hardly at all. This is very dangerous when your out on roads. There's needs to be a recall and GMC needs to take care of their customers before someone gets killed! I have seen several posts with the same issues so what is taking GMC so long to fix their problems on vechicles?.

Vehicle had multiple (more than 2) warning lights flashing on and off, while rpm and mph needle would fluctuate simultaneously. This would happen while in the driveway and also while in motion. Vehicle would not accelerate with accelerator pedal fully pressed, especially on an incline. While this was occurring I had to exit the highway and turn around in an adjacent subdivision. I could not get out of the way of a car in the neighborhood because I was trying to go forward on the street due to a slight incline. It would also jerk into gear when moving from reverse and drive. Had this happened in a traffic intersection, it would have been deadly. This car is unsafe. After 6 months of being fixed it has started happening again. The dealership has had the vehicle for a week this time without being able to fix it. The last time it was at the dealership for around 10 days.

The contact owns a 2007 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to accelerate when the accelerator pedal was applied numerous times. In addition, the transmission failed to function properly when shifting and various warning indicators illuminated. Within a week of owning the vehicle, it was taken to the dealer (shoreline auto group inc, 2275 n state rd, ionia, mi 48846, (616) 523-6882). The dealer kept the vehicle for over a month due to no sound for the turn signals, various warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel, and the vehicle was slow to pick up speed. The dealer was unable to replicate and diagnose the failure for over a month. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for further diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was notified of the failures months later to determine if they may be able to provide a solution to repair the vehicle. The approximate failure mileage was 14,000.

I have been having problems with my vehicle for a while now. The car will cut off in traffic I have gotten stuck in the seatbelt as well as today while I am trying to make a left the car would not accelerate as I was hitting the gas pedal I could have been killed. I have taken my vehicle to arnie bauer on another occasion because I had just left the gas station filling the tank up I got in the truck pulled out of the gas station and the gas gauge started going up and down my overhead lights came on and the car just died out in 45 mph traffic I took it in and all they keep telling me is if they can't duplicate the problem they can not help me how is this safe number one number two I do not know when the vehicle is going to cut off. I have had the speedometer just go up and down as I'm driving as well as the radio would just start to shift from auxillary to cd to radio without ever being touched. If I hit a pothole lights start flashing this is unacceptable. But I'm being told there is nothing that can be done because they can't replicate the problem how is this on my shoulders I'm paying for an extended warranty that is not worth the paper it's printed on. It has to be an electrical short or something they just do not want to repair. But I can not keep putting my families lives in danger driving this vehicle because they say they can not replicate the problem. This is dangerous and GMC will not help.
