1 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2019 GMC Acadia

Failure Date: 10/14/2020

First time back in June 10th, 2020, I took it in because of "remote not detected" they could not duplicate the problem, few hours later, same day after I picked the car up it went haywire while parked. It threw itself into theft mode, would not let us manually lock the car, electrical was still on but engine was shut off, alarm, windshield wipers, and lights was going off while I had it towed to the dealership. This time they've told me, the a/c condensation fried the cpu module because the only thing keeping water out of the cpu was a tray. September 9th, 2020 I take it back into the dealership because again the car kept reading "no remote detected". They claimed it was my "dash cam" that caused the issue. October 14th, 2020 the car again went haywire while in motion. This time it threw itself into theft mode, alarm went off, wipers, was reading low fuel (full tank) steering assist turned on and off, brakes started locking mid busy street, steering wheel tightened also. I barely could turn it into a neighborhood street to get off the road. I had the vehicle towed back to the dealership again, through my triple a plan for the second time because I was "out of the area" that they could send a tow truck to. They tell me again condensation got into the cpu and wasnt even sure if it'll happen again if I continue to run the a/c. I picked the car up the next week and on October 25th, 2020 the car again would not read the keys. Every incident but October 25th, 2020 incident, I have let a supervisor from gm know of the situation, his name is adrian ext. I have recorded even phone records of every incident that's occurred.

2 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2019 GMC Acadia

Failure Date: 03/14/2019

My mother has become trapped two times due to the locks on the vehicle not working. The issue only happens when it rains. I took the vehicle to the dealership and they said they replaced some kind mechanism and that everything was good to go. It rained again yesterday and my mother was trapped in the vehicle again. This happens anytime you try to engage the locks, I. E. In park, putting it in park, putting it in drive, using onstar to lock or unlock, using the GMC app to lock or unlock, using either key fob to lock or unlock, trying to lock or unlock it manually.

3 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2012 GMC Acadia

Failure Date: 11/23/2018

When temperatures go below 20 degrees my trunk door will not open all the way when I use the remote opener. It automatically starts to shut, even when someone is already under the back trunk door. I have had several instances where the trunk has closed on my husband and 9 year old daughter. I have had to run over and manually push the trunk open for it to stay open. Even when I try and press the remote opener again it will not open fully. The only way to open the trunk in temperatures below 20 degrees is manually.

4 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2017 GMC Acadia

Failure Date: 01/25/2018

We bought this vehicle in late January 2018. The car was a new 2017 GMC Acadia. We had the car a few days when my wife said that she could not get the horn to work. She said she looked at the manual and found where to push but nothing. I tried and could not get the horn to work either I called to and made an appointment for the dealer service to look at the car. They informed me that it needed a new contact. Told me they would call when the part comes in. I still haven't head from them and called a couple of time and was told again, we'll call as soon as the part comes in. I believe this is a big safety problem as several time we need the horn and could not get it to work.

5 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2015 GMC Acadia

Failure Date: 12/16/2017

My first incident on my 2015 GMC Acadia sle fwd purchased brand new was this year at 40000 miles. One head light went out and then the other in which the dealer wanted 400+ bucks to replace. The lighting is actually bad from the headlamps. They lights do not extended in front of you to see if you will be coming upon anything and can possibly run it over. My second issue at 41000 was the power steering. One day I heard a loud whining as I turned the corner on a city street and suddenly the power steering stopped. I looked in the manual and it says to put a certain type of transmission fluid in there, but I had just had a free oil change at the dealer about 3 weeks ago and they do not top off any other fluids. After putting the fluid in the power steering place, I noticed a leak. Come to find out the power steering pump is leaking on my car with only 41000 miles. A brand new car practically that cost 30,000 should not have issues so soon. Today, driving to work I almost lost it because my car all of a sudden started jumping codes "service stabilitrak; service traction control; traction control off; engine power is reduce' and my speed went from about 40 to 30 instantly. I was driving on a city street traffic while this happened and was unaware. Just think, if I did not put on brakes and was going at a certain speed and the person behind me is as well, and my car's speed just drop dramatically, what type of injuries could have occurred. I am very perturbed because this is the second gm car that I purchased with defects and my car just so happen to be omiited from any recalls. I own a 2010 chevy malibu as well and the power steering completely stopped working in 2015 and I had to pay 1300 to get it fixed, while other cars where on recall for the same issue. I'm so done with gm!!.

6 Owners/service Manual problem of the 2017 GMC Acadia

Failure Date: 04/02/2017

Power liftgate malfunction- liftgate was operated from the rear switch. Upon activation it rose almost fully and then slammed down on a person while they were accessing the rear cargo area, injuring their nose and face. Liftgate failed to stop at obstruction. From that point on liftgate failed to open or close without manual intervention. Vehicle was stationary, engine running and mostly level street. Weather had been rainy but was not raining at the time, 63 degree temp. Not sure if it was in park or drive, but brakes were applied and other passengers were entering the vehicle. The next morning the power liftgate has operated normally.
