GMC Envoy owners have reported 1 problem related to automatic transmission gear indicator (under the power train category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
When applying brake to release vehicle gear out of park, the gear shift does not release. Stuck in park! have to tap the brakes many times to get a release of the gear shift. Sometimes it works first time other times takes many attempts. Told at dealer that it is the sellenoid. Have ordered part from dealer twice and still no part. Dealer at first denied being able to reproduce. Then, finally admitted other vehicles had same issue.
