Consumer stated the brake light on the instrument panel would not go off and the van had a very hard brake pedal like there was no power boost, consumer was informed that the problem was an equalizer, however when it was installed it did not resolve the problem, then they discovered it was the switch on the brake pedal that was bad or needed to be adjusted, consumer was informed that the hard brake pedal was normal for GMC's, consumer stated while driving he experienced hard braking and the wheels locked up, consumer stated there was no abs control even though vehicle is suppose to have it, consumer belives he only has front wheel braking.

When depressing brake pedal rear brakes would grab. When consumer released the brakes vehicle would travel like brakes were still applied, causing vehicle to surge. Dealer has been notified. Consumer states that the manufacturer suggested to the dealer to disconnect the rear brake adjuster and was told that all the rear brakes were over adjusting, consumer states since the removal, the brakes still grab and stay partially on after the brake pedal has been released, dealer stated that the vehicle is supposed to respond like that because it was designed to have a load in it.
When applying the brakes, steering cannot be controlled. All steering is lost. Dealer has vehicle right now.
Brake bearing have burned out on passenger side of vehicle causing total brake failure, which could eventually cause wheel to fall completely off. Please give any further details.

The right side inner pad was worn down and separated from the backing plate causing metal-to-metal contact, the left side front brakes were worn, the front brakes are undersized for this vehicle. Nlm.
