Tl-the contact owns a 2019 GMC sierra ld crew slt/elevation-t1. The contact stated that while driving at 5 mph, all warning light illuminated on the dashboard. The contact attempted to depress the brake pedal which failed to engaged properly. The contact managed to drive the vehicle the dealer bert ogden Buick GMC 4216 us-281, edinburg, TX 78542 (956) 205-0761 where at this time is awaiting for a diagnosed test to be performed. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact mentioned that 4 recall was repaired on the vehicle Dec,2019 however is unaware of which recalls repaired were done. The contact owned a 2007 GMC Savana. While driving approximately 20 mph, the driver attempted to stop, but the brakes failed. As a result, the contact crashed into the preceding vehicle. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The air bags did not deploy. The driver sustained injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was totaled and was towed to a tow yard. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 116,000.

The contact owns a 2003 GMC savannah 2500. The contact was driving downhill in reverse when the brakes malfunctioned and would not engage, causing the vehicle to crash into another vehicle. A police report was available. The vehicle was towed to the dealer but the dealer was unable to locate a failure within the brakes. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic yet the mechanic was also unable to diagnose a brake failure. The manufacturer was contacted but provided no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact had not experienced any further brake failures since the crash. The failure mileage was 110,000.

2000 GMC Savana vehicle is equiped with antilock brakes. On two occassions when I had to make sudden stops I encountered brake failure. Although, there were other times they never resulted in accidents. The brakes would seem to engage then let go causing vehicle to travel father than expected.
Drum and brakes are failing every 13,000 miles without notice. Service station advises they have had several related problems.

While driving and applying brakes, they squealed. Consumer contacted dealer. Dealer lubricated brakes. After brakes were lubricated they locked up and overheated enough to melt wheel caps. Also, dealer replaced brake booster, and entire brake system including abs unit. Consumer noted power brakes have failed , and brake booster needed to be replaced for second time. 11/16/99 - oil cooler line failure(198 mi), 11/16/99 - check gauges lite. 11/17/99 - front brake failure (200mi. ) , 11/17/99 - check gauges light (continues to come on - off / no pattern), 11/17/99 - oil gauge pressure swing - >20# -60+#, 11/18/99 - purchasing dealer "repairs" oil leak, brake problem,gauge light problem, 11/18/99 , gauge light after "repair". 11/26 /99 - local dealer to repair light/brakes problem - "can't find prob's. " - I prod them to use old methods to find problems- I. E. -road test for brakes , actual gauge attached to engine for oil light- amazing "we found problems"-order parts "2weeks"-01/14 /2000 - "we got parts"(2 wks. -ha!)-01/19/2000 -replaced gauge cluster, notified me of brake service bulletin, "will order parts"- 01/19/2000-notice signif. Changes in gauge readings. - 01/24/2000 - speedometer stops at 25mph- moving or stopped- call dealer to report this, speed read continues to go down(while driving) , settling at 20 for a few miles, then 10,then 0 for a few more,then returns to "?normal?"- 01/26/2000- return to dealer for brake work("parts are in") , after all day, call to pick up - brakes grind -pull to right 1/2 mile away. Past closing time- head home -20 miles later brakes really grinding- able to make sharp croner right turn by just applying brakes-01/26/2000 -theres part of my journal/adventure - ???what now??????????.
