Brake Disc Rotor problems of the 2003 GMC Sierra

Three problems related to brake disc rotor have been reported for the 2003 GMC Sierra. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Brake Disc Rotor problem

Failure Date: 01/07/2006

Needed all 4 brakes rotors and entire system replaced after 20000 miles.

2 Brake Disc Rotor problem

Failure Date: 08/17/2005

Service brakes, hydraulic:foundation components: disc:rotor while driving at any speed, and applying the brakes, there was extended stopping distance. The rotors were rusted through and wore out prematurely at approximately 8,000 miles. A manufacturer's defect was indicated.

3 Brake Disc Rotor problem

Failure Date: 07/23/2004

While driving at any speed, and applying the brakes there was extended stopping distance. The rotors were rusted and wore out prematurely at 7,700 miles. The floor manager ay the dealership indicated to the consumer this was a manufacturer's defect. The manufacturer was contacted and to this date had not responded.
