Three problems related to brake disc rotor have been reported for the 2003 GMC Sierra. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Needed all 4 brakes rotors and entire system replaced after 20000 miles.
Service brakes, hydraulic:foundation components: disc:rotor while driving at any speed, and applying the brakes, there was extended stopping distance. The rotors were rusted through and wore out prematurely at approximately 8,000 miles. A manufacturer's defect was indicated.

The floor manager ay the dealership indicated to the consumer this was a manufacturer's defect. The manufacturer was contacted and to this date had not responded.
