Tank Mounting problem #1

The contact owns a 2006 GMC Sierra. The contact stated the fuel gauge malfunctioned and he was unable to read the amount of fuel that was in the vehicle. The dealer stated that the reader inside the fuel tank needed to be replaced. The contact did not replace the reader although the vehicle could shut off when the fuel tank was empty without any warning. The failure mileage was 110,000.

Gasoline Fuel System problem #2

The contact owns a 2006 GMC Sierra denali. The contact stated that the check engine light illuminated on the instrument panel while driving approximately 45 mph. The vehicle was taken to an independent repair shop where the contact was informed that the fuel system needed to be repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in the recall associated with NHTSA campaign id number: 06e043000 (fuel system, gasoline). The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 52,000 and the current mileage was 77,000. The VIN was unavailable.
