My windshield wiper fluid only sprays out 30% of the time. Usually in the morning then any other time of the day it will not spray out. They replaced the pump and that did not fix it and they won't do anything else and now it is out of warranty. When running lower rpms driving the truck it begins to feel like its shaking forward and backwards, like a shuddering feeling. I have read about other people having this problem and it describes mine perfectly. I have the 8speed.

Transmission harsh 1-2 shift when it is under light throttle and sometime does not shift or make nose. GMC dealer are aware about this issues on all gm truck model of 2015 to 2017 with 8sped transmission since April 2017. I have attached documents given by dealer.
Starting the vehicle I'm putting the truck in reverse, the truck lunges backwards. Also a violent jerk of the vehicle happens. This happens a majority of the time. Putting the vehicle into gear to drive I have a violent jerk and a loud noise. The truck does not lunge forward when placing the truck into drive. This happens a couple of times a day. This is not an isolated incident.

My 2017 GMC Sierra shutters and jerks when going into and out of 1st gear and going around corners when it changes gears. Especially when cold. Does not happen all the time. At times it has jerked into an intersectionand was scry. My wife will not drive this vehicle. Have had it looked at numerous times and they have changed the fluid. They tell me I have a quirky trans or it is inherent to this transmission. It is extremely frustrating and scary at times. I don't know what to do to get gm to fix it. This has been going on since I purchased the truck on 10/31/2017.
Transmission has surging and hesitation. Dealer cannot fix.
Tl the contact owns a 2017 GMC Sierra. While reversing, the vehicle hesitated and surged forward. While driving various speeds, the accelerator pedal was released and the vehicle accelerated. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to silver star Buick GMC (3601 auto mall dr, thousand oaks, CA 91362, (805) 222-4789) where it was diagnosed that the software needed to be updated and the vehicle was performing as designed. The vehicle was repaired; however ,the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 415.

I had the rotors replaced on my new truck at 6000 miles and paid for repairs out of pocket. I continued to hear brake noise. On my way to the dealership on the weekend I was scheduled to have the brake noise investigated and to have an oil change done, I had catastrophic brake failure. A vehicle in front of me made a lane change into my lane and then slammed on the brakes in front of my vehicle at a green light coming to a complete stop from 40 mph to 0 in the middle of the intersection. A car had pulled out in front of him changing lanes from the left lane to right. I mashed the brake pedal to stop immediately and my brakes went soft and to the floor on the second push. When I wasn't stopping. I slammed my emergency brake with my left foot and injured a few toes on my left foot trying to stop before my vehicle. My vehicle did not come to a complete stop. Instead, my vehicle skidded and lightly tapped the vehicle in front of me doing minor bumper damage to both of our vehicles. However there was a Toyota truck behind me, and struck my vehicle directly while I was at a stand still, while the driver was doing over 70 mph when he collided with my Sierra. My Sierra has the pin or part of the caliper that moves the brake pads, completely pushed the piston into the rotor. The vehicle has had brake issues since I paid to have the brakes and rotors replaced at 6000 miles. I have records of the incident and the brake failure from a mechanic and auto body shop documenting the complete failure of the brakes. Directly after the brakes were replaced within another 8000 miles the brake booster on the vehicle went bad and was replaced as well.
Vibration 65+ mph, felt in steering wheel and seat. Steering wheels quivers at 65+ mph. Truck feels very unstable at highway speeds. Dealer states it's normal.
8 speed transmission bucks, hesitates, lurches forward, clunks, while startung acceleration or coming to a stop. I try to keep a big gap between my truck and cars in front of me at stop signs because it randomly lurches forward and I almost have bumped cars in front of me. I have had the truck into the dealer so manu times to fix the vibration issues as well, they said 3 tires that came in the brand new truck were defective so I had to replace them all and the shake is still there, the balanced, rebalanced, road force balance and nothing works. Last time at the dealer said it is probably the tires, he said dont rotate them again and when they wear out he will put me in a better tire. I am past my warranty so the dealer says any costs are my responsibilitt, if the NHTSA could please step in to assist us to make gm fic theae vehicles which are a safety hazard.

This issue started a few months after I purchased the truck took it to two dealers they say its normal. Called GMC & they have no recall. When driving the truck & have to slow down in traffic the automatic transmission down shifts & has a very noticable jerk. Will actually jerk the hole truck. People who have rode with me tell me I have a transmission problem. What can I do.
Transmission is not able to be fixed. Three repairs and gm can't fix. Transmission jerks, slips, clunks. Uncomforable to drive. I am stuck with subpar vehicle. Gm has been horrible to work with. 17 recalls? why cant gm make a solid reliable vehicle after 100 years in business?.
While driving at normal highway speed, truck shut off except for the lights. Lost powers steering, brakes etc. Once I got the truck pulled over and stopped, attempted to restart. Was unable to do so until the 4th attempt during a 5 minutes time span. Once started, appeared to be running fine except for the mil on the dashboard which was lit.

Driving north on the garden state parkway in the center lane it felt like I had a back tire blowout but what happened was my rear axle broke causing my vehicle to be extremely hard to control. I was trying to steer the vehicle but could not control the truck, it felt like I had limited braking ability, smashing into guardrail it finally came to a stop.
Issues with emissions switch. Check engine light will not go off. Also 3 and 4th gear are completely gone out. I do not tow or have had anything even remotely heavy in this truck. It's a 2005 GMC Sierra with only 78,480 miles on it. I am not the only one having issues with this 4 speed transmission. It is not heavy duty enough for this size truck. Gm needs to recall all of these transmissions. When it first started slipping I lost all power going down the road at about 55mph. The vehicle that was behind me slammed on his brakes to avoid hitting me. This problem with the transmission is going to kill someone.

The contact owns a 2015 GMC Sierra. While the vehicle was parked, it began to coast backwards and collided into the side of a building without warning. The air bags did not deploy. There were no injuries and a police report was not filed. After the crash, the gear shifter remained in park. The vehicle was not diagnosed, but was currently being repaired for damages sustained from the crash. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 14v374000 (power train). The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 8,000.
First off would be my dashboard air bag, the dashboard plastic is cracking with the concern on flying debris I brought my GMC 1500 into my local service/sales center and he told me with out a recall there is nothing he could do for me. Second I have been dealing with what seems to either the power train or brakes from day one I purchased my truck. What it does is when I come to a complete stop, release the brake, and then apply the accelerator I get a big cur plunk sound and feeling of the truck jerk. This is coming for the rear end of my truck I would assume the rear axial. I have brought this up to my local service/sales center , multiple times. He has not stopped the problem and tells me there is not much more he can do without the manufacturer posting a bulletin out.

My vehicle started with a vibration on or around 12,000 miles. The vibration slowly increased as time went on. I made appointment with the dealership where the vehicle was purchased. (capitaland motors) at this time the vibration was strong enough to vibrate the back window. It would start at 30mph and get worse at 45mph. The mechanic checked balance and road force the tires. But told me that the vibration was normal and he could fix my back window. I called GMC and filed a complaint. They told me to take it to another dealership. I did on 11/25/14. This time I took it to goldstein Buick-GMC. They could feel the vibration in the steering wheel and seat. They check tires again. They felt it was the tires and wanted me to buy new ones. Told me the tires were not under warranty. That day I called goodyear and found out my tires were under warranty, they would be prorated. Goodyear check my tires and they are fine. At this time no one can find the problem and I feel it has become a safety issue. The vibration is really strong and getting worse and they have no answer.
The truck was averaging about 20 mpg but shifting erratically like it couldn't decide what gear to be in. After using the 4wd the first time the mpg dropped off to about 17 and has been declining steadily currently I get 14 to 15 mpg and drive 150 miles per day mostly highway. I have taken it back to the dealer twice they said the computer couldn't get used to my driving style and reprogrammed the computer. When I took it back about the mileage a guy came out and said he could tell if something was stuck and switched the 4wd a few time and said it was fine. My mpg is getting worse and it slams in and out of gear 2-3 times in a matter of seconds while sustaining a steady highway speed on a flat surface.
Gm performed a recall for fractured transmission dipstick tube on my truck. They took a tube of foam and plastic strapped it to the tube. I never saw the reasoning! the tube has fractured and now has to be replaced. Why did the not fix this proper in the first place. Now I need to make two more appointments to get this fixed. My transmission is open to the elements, water and dirt!.
Traveling at a low speed on my property and the truck intered into a "reduced power" mode. Which cut off all power to the drive train. You were left with no ability to go front or back. After shutting off the truck and restarting it returned to normal. Local GMC dealer says he gets one a month for this condition. Costs to repair exceeds a $1000. Lost of power could happen any time. Very dangerous situation.

Engine light symbol message appeared on vehicle during the early part of September. (not quite sure of the date). Dealership indicated that the work was covered under warranty and will require a full day to replace parts. After repair the vehicle seem to operate excellently until the middle part of October. Engine light message appeared again on vehicle. At this time the service manager identified the problem as a sensor overheating. Needed to bring vehicle back when diesel mechanic is on duty. Requested advice for travel. Service manager cleared code. Engine light message came on again in minutes. The next day while traveling engine lost of power message came on within 150 miles from where we departed. Before lost of power a message of low in exhaust fluid flashed on and off. Pulled to the side of the road and turned engine off for about 30 minutes. Restarted vehicle and the vehicle drove well to our destination of 248 miles more. Carried vehicle to a GMC dealership. The dealership identified the following codes: p113a-egr temp 3-4 correlation; p2471-egr temp sensor 4 high voltage; p20cc-exhaust fuel injector performance history. Dealer stated repair could not be address due to other scheduled appointments for a week. Dealership mechanic cleared codes. Engine symbol returned in 25 minutes. While returning back home the vehicle again gave the message low in exhaust fluid and within minutes went into lost of power mode. Scheduled appointment with the dealership again to resolve the problem.
I was driving down route 24 in lewes, delaware approaching a yellow light when the car in front of me stopped. I applied the brakes and they completely failed despite putting the peddle all the way to the floor. I was forced to veer onto the shoulder then into a farmers field in order to slow the truck down enough to force it into park. Apparently the hydraulic brake lines on these trucks are completely exposed to the elements and have a history of failing. Once that happens, the rear calipers lock up and there are no brakes at all switch can cause a crash. There is no warning given until the hydraulic line snaps and the fluid is released. My truck has never been in an accident and has low mileage for its age. It has always been well maintained and is not a work truck but merely a personal vehicle. In addition, I am on my third transmission do to the poor selection gm made of putting the s-10 pick up transmission in a substantially heavier truck.

2014 GMC Sierra. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle electrical panel froze while driving. Also, the power steering locked up, the headlights did not work properly and the alarm sometimes sounded after the was removed from the ignition. Also, the engine light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer twice. However, the problem was still not resolved. There was a hesitation/lurch coming from the transmission, and an issue with the tire pressure monitoring system. The instrument panel malfunctioned on the way back from the dealer. The check engine light, illuminated sporadically. Updated 07/10/14 the consumer stated there was a steering issue, as well. The dealer was unable to replicate the problems. Updated 08/06/14.
2014 GMC Sierra 1500 rolls backwards when parked on an incline and the transmission is in park.
Vehicle hesitates and stalls upon acceleration. According to gm document id number 3685734 this is a normal condition and they have programmed the vehicle to do this. If going into traffic and trying to accelerate, the built in delay can cause close calls at best and worst case an accident. This coupled with the transmission issues mentioned in document id number 3575856 creates the perfect storm for injury and / or death. Gm refuses to address the issue other than to say they feel it is not a problem. This covers virtually all gm vehicles since 2007 with the 6 speed transmission.

At this occurrence the hood latch does not keep the hood tight when closed. The hood rattles at speeds over 35mph and appears as though it is going to open. As a result of attempting to sufficiently securing the hood, I subsequently dented the hood. I have had the body department at the local dealership look at it and they found that the hood latch needed to be adjusted. After another 2500 miles, this rattle has returned. The complaint is that this is the second 2013 Sierra denali that I have owned since October 2012, since the dealership bought back the first one after numerous problems including the transmission being replaced at 6250 miles and numerous efforts to fix the hood. Same problem two trucks is a cause for concern!.
The transmission on this vehicle slips sometimes between 2nd and 3rd gear and also when parked on a hill and put into drive the transmission shifts late into 1st gear.
Transmission lines leaking around crimped part of line. Researching this issue online, many GMC/gm vehicles are having this issue. There should be an effort by gm to install better lines.
