Driving down the road on way home from work airbags blew out. The one in the steering wheel and the one on the passenger side. It busted windshield on passenger side. Shards of stuff all over dash on passenger side. That airbag popped 2 times.

High speed collision with a cement truck destroyed most of the front portion of the vehicle. Neither passenger nor driver airbag deployed and seat belts did not lock up, injuring the driver. No warning lights indicating an airbag problem appeared prior to crash. The vehicle is now impounded at towing company yard pending insurance investigation.

I was driving from lufkin to hemphill at 70 mph. Something blew up, I thought something hit me. Engine died, brakes started, emergency lights came on, and seatbelt locked down, truck stopped, I got out to see what hit me. Nothing! when I got back in the truck a white powder (not smoke) was coming out of the seat belt on drivers side. When seat belt locked down I had to back seat up to get out of the belt. I was lucky that I did not hit someone.

Received standard takata recall letter in 2016 & began contacting GMC & chevy dealers in my area, but they just kept saying waiting for parts. They acknowledged my vehicle was affected, but �no parts available�. Online search also says my vehicle is affected. Now (6/2020)I contacted same dealer (mckinney GMC Buick, mckinney, TX), who claims my vehicle is not affected. I think they're blowing smoke.

Dashboard by airbag has cracked for no reason and now it has cracked over the drivers side two cracks just keep happening to the dashboard I am concerned that if airbags deploy in accident passenger or driver will diffendly will be hurt by peacies of plastic this has happened well vehicle was in motion and well parked over night.

Takata recall I received my first recall notice in July 2016 and it is almost 3 years later and still no resolution to the passenger air bag problem. I'm concerned for any passenger that rides with me in the event that the air bag would deploy. Seems like 3 years is way to long to get this fixed.

Takata air bags. I have been to the GMC dealership service department several times over the last 2-3 years since the recall was placed on my pickup for the takata air bags trying to get the air bags replaced or fixed. I have been told that gm has not come up with a solution or resolution for my vehicle to replace or repair the recalled takata air bags. This absurd that the recall has gone on this long and gm does not have a plan or a way to repair or replace the takata air bags in my 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 pickup truck. Please look into this and force them to fix these air bags before more people are killed or severely injured.

"takata recall" I was at a vet clinic getting meds for my dog, truck was turned off, when I came back out to get in truck it look like a big pillow in the truck, when I open door the smell was horrible and it was the air bag had exploded on passenger side. .
