I purchased my 2015 Terrain June 30 2020. Ever since I bought it I keep getting a warning on my dash board for service airbags. . It will come on as soon as I turn the car on. . It doesn't happen every time but at least once a week if not more. I took a picture of the warning and called the car, dealership wwhere I bought it told me to contact gm that this was a safety issue with the airbag alert coming on.
I was sitting at a red light in the left hand turn lane. A truck ran their red light hitting another truck sending both of them crashing into my vehicle. The first truck struck the front bumper at the headlight & skid all the way down the side of the vehicle then the other truck was slammed into the side of my vehicle. All the damage was on the driver side of the car. My car was moved over into the next lane but no air bags went off. This happened on a hwy where the speed limit is 65. The truck running the red light was going at least that fast and never hit their brakes.

The air bag service lights came on 10/2019 while in motion. I notice a recall for this vehicle on the NHTSA website yet the local gm dealer where I live says that there isn't one for my vehicle according to the VIN.
Was in an accident, hit from behind and the dash stated the air bags were deployed, they were not. The smell of gun powder made it seem like they were triggered but did not deploy. I was at a full stop and was hit on a 2 lane road the driver hit me at approx. 45 mph.
Out of no where my car is telling me to service airbag.
While checking the rear view mirror a 1998 chevy truck came tp a sudden stop on the highway, and I could not miss the truck the driver claimed he thought he had missed his turn, when my SUV collided with the truck. The powder came out but the airbags never did come out,and the passenger seatbelt locked.

I was in an accident and was hit in the driver on the driver side of the vehicle on the street. The airbags didn't deploy during the accident.
My service bag light came on about 1 month ago. When I took it to the dealer to check it out. They said my year is not in the recall list. They also said none of the air bags will work until it gets fixed. I am living on a limited income and cannot afford to fix the air bags. Every year before and after of GMC Terrain have been recalled. I don't understand why my 2012 has not been recalled. With this being a manufactured problem I believe GMC should pay to fix the air bags. I am afraid to take my grandchildren with me to the store.
Faulty driver window motor, heated seat drivers side, blinking cd on dash, noises coming from cd player, heater core and thermostat, airbags, relays and fuses. All went out including lumbar back pad on drivers side. While in motion.

States that air bag need serviced.
After purchasing this vehicle two weeks later I developed a very serious skin rash on my face and neck and severe health issues causing me to have cardiac arrest symptoms in and out of the hospital for the past 11 months my daughter has been in the hospital and my dog is also dying from the same symptoms. My situation is life or death at this moment and my condition is unknown and I'm not sure if I will survive.
It started saying service airbags.
Light on dash shows airbag may be defective.
I pulled into our carport. It felt like the car just "sped up and went faster and faster. " it hit the front of the car straight on. No airbags deployed nor did the front end collision stop happen.
I experiencing problems with my GMC Terrain. I have contacted my local dealer (doral GMC, in miami, FL) on multiple occasions with no response. I have submitted a written complaint to GMC on April 10th, 2012 and never received a reply. I've experienced continuous car problems since the purchase of my vehicle. Within the first 3 months of purchase my car had already been kept at the dealer for 30 days on 2 separate occasions. Vehicle problems were, for example; the airbag service light turned on, car turned off while driving on a highway, this issue was taken care of but returned several times to have it corrected as it kept happening. The vehicle also experienced transmission issues, the check engine light also kept turning on and service department couldn't figure anything out with my vehicle. This was my first GMC purchase and it has been my absolute worst experience with any american car company. The latest issue since December of 2017 has been the airbag service light once again and the stability track light. I took the vehicle in for service once again and I was charged for diagnostic service so that the issue could be found for each issue and was told I would have to pay $135. 00 per issue. I only paid for the airbag issue since it seemed to be the most dangerous one and was told by service department that the module kit needed to be replaced. This new charge was $ 823. 90 that I had to pay out of pocket. This issue seems to be a factory one and I would like to be reimbursed since this is a safety feature that should not have happened. I've never had an accident and have kept it serviced and well maintained at the dealer through out all the recalls and service problems. The reason I paid for this service was mainly for the safety of my family but once again, it's an inconvenience.

We own a 2016 GMC Terrain. My wife rear ended a Ford expeditions. This low speed impact caused almost 17000 dollars of damage and the seat belt or air bags never went off. I would like to know if this is normal or is gm covering up faulty safety equipment.
Takata recall? on March 12, my wife and I were in a collision with another vehicle. We were on a city street in tulsa, oklahoma when we rearended another vehicle. It was a fairly minor accident at less than 40 mph, but my wife sustained severe injuries to her right eye and both arms. She broke the major bone in both of her arms right above the wrist area, and her right eye was lacerated and exploded from the socket. She has been through numerous surgeries for her eye and arms. She is currently blind in her right eye. Her seatbelt did not restain her from coming forward, and we still do not know what hit her in the eye. All of the airbags in the car exploded, and we believe that this might have caused her eye injury, but we are unsure as to why her seatbelt would have not restrained her from what caused the injuries to her arms and eye.

I have 41,000 miles - should I need a left pretension buckle (part failure) and timing chain - oil was changed in December, checked in January and GMC dealer states I have no oil and need a timing chain where did the oil go? is this a factor defect? car stalled at stop signs and red lights.
Recall.
Takata recall - bought vehicle used,in past 2 years have gone to start truck an it stutters when trying to turn ignition over. All lights on dash flash and upon starting a 2nd time engine light comes on. I work in auto collision industry and read with my scan tool. Every time its listed as faulty start. Didn't think any major wrong, till I rear ended someone at about 35 direct hit. I hit my chest hard on steering wheel & have wanted to get rid of truck since. I knew the bags should've deployed an felt unsafe since they did not. No recall listed, but then I saw cobalt major recall and it seems identical to my vehicles issue. Contacted GMC to fix,not covered. But since we do so much business and it seems connected they will be repairing tomorrow however cobalts recall requires. Unfortunately others might not be so lucky as I.
I had purhased a 2011 GMC terrian and have gotten three letters saying don't bring in to dealer until the problems happen one side -impact circuit cause-airbag-readiness light illuminate and the service air bag message to display. GMC extened the protection for 10 years or 120,000 miles. The second that was sent the steering same protection and the third letter for oil consumption which it is doing now. This not safe for my wife and me or the any other passengers. What is your addvismentfor me.
We bought my daughter a brand new GMC Terrain. Her old GMC had over 200,000 miles on it. She had a blown out tire prior to this incident. She was not driving fast and there was not reason for the tire to blow out. She is on her way home from a friends house and goes over a railroad track, not speeding. Another tire blows out. Has to get car towed. The tow car to gmn dealership. Days in shop airbar issues, tire had to be replaced. Takes over 4 days to be repaired has to go back. Over $1700. 00 bill. This is second time this has happened.
Front end collision, second driver was going 60mph. Dashboard on the Terrain indicated that the airbags were deployed, but they failed to deploy.
I had a airbag warning indication. I took the SUV to GMC and they indicated the issue is in the seat, as the individual sit in the seat it flexes the cannon plug with cause the airbag system to disable , and send a warning. They indicated they could not correct the issue without deviating due to safety concerns and they asked me to contact ntsb to indicate the safety issue.
We started the car and went to take off and our airbag signal light started flashing and beeping. Once we got home and parked it, the light went off. Well about a month later while driving to CT from FL the dinging and flashing light started again. And stayed on from about va to CT. It had since went off and now comes on and off often. And on our way home our windshield wiper was not working properly. As if it had to have a rest period. (not an option in the rain, on the highway).
I hit a bump about a month ago, and now my "service airbags" light keeps coming on. I have not had a collision, but now everytimes I hit a bump I get a ding and the "service airbags. " not sure if any recalss on are for this problems.
