Dashboard is severely cracked & rattles so badly that it interferes with hearing outside & inside noises & communication. Has gotten worse over past year. Dealer confirmed that the problem was prevalent among several gm models, including my model. I was also told that a class action suit was filed against GMC for this problem, but was dismissed by judicial system.

Vehicle stationary in car wash and while manually using handheld at front of vehicle towards vehicle grill, back of vehicle opened/lifted. Has now happened multiple times and dealer has made no repair, but disconnected exterior sensor at gate (where you kick under vehicle to release gate for lift/open) in effort to eliminate that if instance recurs. Concern is for safety if driving in rain and back opens/lifts while operating on highways/roads. Owner is former sheriff's deputy kn kankakee county.

Out of the blue the dashboard on the drivers side cracked. It has since cracked across the entire dashboard. There was no damage or event that caused this. It happened out of the blue. I don't know if it cracked when the vehicle was in motion or not.

Running boards failing to work properly all the time. Sometimes will start to go down but return up when opening door. Will also fail to go up after closing door and remain down. Middle row dvd screen is black and not working. Rear brake lights working off and on. Horrible loud squealing sound under the hood. The vehicle will also begin to shake randomly and feels jumpy at times.

Faulty, poorly made tail lights that need to be entirely replaced (not just the bulb) at more than $700 each. When spending so much on a car, this is literally insane not to be covered under any warranty. GMC drivers deserve more than this poorly made led light system. The plastic window trim pieces also detach due to cheap plastic clips. I've had to literally use double sided tape and glue to stick them back on a $70k+ car. It's hundreds of dollars to replace pieces that are literally part of the body of the vehicle.
I swerved to miss a deer and I hit a tree running 47 mph and my air bags didn't deploy and no one can tell me why. My husband and I were very lucky but why didn't the air bags deploy? my husband was out of work for 5 months due to torn ligaments in his shoulders and still has to have surgery.

Rear lift glass hinges are defective and gm has known about the issues for years and has not issued any recall to replace. Poor design is the problem. There is a water leak in the roof, on the driver side, right above the a-pillar. This has happened on multiple occasions during a heavy rain storm. The leak occurs regardless of whether or not the vehicle is in motion. After taking it to the dealership for service, I was informed there was a manufacturer defect which could cause some gapping in the vehicle body roof ditch driver side, which may allow water to leak through. I am concerned for my family's safety as this situation could create mold and mildew in the interior liner. Also, it could potentially lead to a very dangerous situation if the gaps/voids in the body become larger, allowing water to leak through at a greater velocity during high speeds or on the freeway. I was also informed that this is a very common issue on multiple vehicles from gm during the selected model year. Dealer attempted to service vehicle multiple times but there is still a water leak.
The dash above the gauge cluster has a huge crack and there is also another crack by the passenger side airbag. I noticed it when I started the vehicle after it had been parked all night in my driveway. There is no other damage to the vehicle.
I live in florida- it was approx 8 am, sitting outside drinking coffee on my porch. Vehicle had been parked since prior afternoon and was locked (alarm engaged). Suddenly, my rear window spontaneously exploded. There was glass everywhere both inside and outside of the vehicle. After researching what could've caused something like this to happen, there are innumerable reports of this happening to other GMC owners without any plausible explanation. This is a very concerning issue as glass flew everywhere in and around my vehicle and it is by pure luck that my 15 year old daughter and usually at least 1-2 of her friends, along with my one year old daughter, who naturally, is in the rear of the vehicle. Myself or anyone else merely walking by the vehicle could've been injured just walking by. Had someone been near my vehicle in a public place, I. E. Grocery store parking lot, etc. They could've been injured by the shards of glass that shot out and landed 4+ feet from the vehicle, leaving me at risk of further civil actio and possible suit. I am also a protective investigator for the state of florida and often times have other children in my vehicle. This is both a huge civil, and most importantly, safety concern. This is not okay and is not a fluke incident based upon so many reported incidents from so many other GMC owners. GMC refuses to help. A recall on these rear windshields are a must and I cannot believe that one is not been issued in all of the years that this has been happening to people. This is not okay.

Water leak due to bad front windshield seal, water leak through gps antenna, four wheel drive module was bad, dvd player stopped working, and lastly a horrible vibration that occurred around 77-83 mph. To the point the vehicle did not feel safe to handle. Trim on the b post kept coming loose. This all occurred in over a years period of time. This was my second vehicle because I traded in my 2015 tahoe because it was having many of the same issues and more. Gm did repair all issues other than the shaking, they wanted me to buy tires and after reading other complaints on the shaking I refused, the tires only had 25,800ish miles on them.
Rear brake lights keep going out, parking assist sensors do not work, satellite antenna leaks water on to steering wheel when it rains.
High frequency antenna leaking water. This is preventing the vehicle's onstar system from accurately determining the vehicle's location; it has disabled vehicle's compass, navigation, and xm radio systems; the red onstar led indicator has turned on ; and water is leaking into the interior passenger compartment. A recall was issued for the 2015 Yukon xl for this same exact problem. However, I am having the same exact problem with my 2016 model. I have attached the recall issued for the 2015 models.
Upon driving vehicle water was observed to drip from upper left hand drivers compartment onto driver. The weather had previously been raining. Roof fabric was saturated and water was actively falling. The dealer confirmed the antenna assembly on the roof was a known failure mode for this hazard. Water can passively migrate through interior column. Vehicle had not been through any mechanical or automated washing system. Vehicle had not been subject to any external cause. Failure was caused by faulty manufacturing assembly process.

Interior dashboard. Cracked in two places 1. ) top left corner of passenger airbag panel 2. ) center of gauge dome starting form vent vanes cracked up to nearly top of the gauge dome. This condition started 2018 and has progressively worsened in length. The vehicle has been garage kept its entire ownership. I researched and found that many other owners are e experiencing this same cracking issues in the same location.
My complaint is the dash on the the 2014 Yukon is cracking at the airbag and causing the dash to flap around in the middle near the speaker. For a 60k dollar vehicle, this seems like the mfg should replace due to quality. The dash could cause airbag puncture and possible fragments in an accident. I'm not feeling very safe with this product.

The contact owns a 2009 GMC Yukon denali xl. While stationary, the dashboard of the vehicle became cracked across the air bag section. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided the contact with case number: 8-3684476402. The failure mileage was approximately 54,000.
Both brake lights went out. Dealer said had to replace entire fixture. Not covered under bumper to bumper extended warranty purchased. Safety hazard that many other 2015 Yukon owners have experienced. Trim/seal appliqu's around door windows also coming off and also not CO weed under b2b warranty. Shottily made vehicle.
My vehicle has a significant vibration when traveling 40mph and above with a rear window down. The vibration is also accompanied by increased cabin pressure. These issues are causing headaches, nausea, and dizziness. Dealership confirms issue and tried to repair, but unable to. The vibration started right after we took delivery of the car and has only gotten worse. We bought the car in October 2015 and the issue continues unfixed to this day after 5 visits.
I had my grandchild strapped in her car seat in the back seat of my Yukon. However, as we made a stop for me to remove her from the car, I pulled the outside door handle and the entire handle came off for no apparent reason. This was alarming to me because, what if this had been an emergency situation and I had to immediately rescue her from the vehicle. When I went to the dealership the service person informed me this happens a lot where the door handle breaks, and it appears they were 'possibly engineered inappropriately'. They assured me they could fix it but in order to do so, I must pay the deductible. I refused to pay any fees since this is something that happens with these vehicle frequently and refused to let them fix it. I called GMC and they have yet to provide a resolution, with the exception of saying I must pay the deductible. My husband also has a Yukon 2004 and one of his door handles is also broken. We never use the back passenger doors, unless there are special circumstances like with my grandchild. My concern is why should the consumers have to pay the cost for a faulty door handle being engineered inappropriately. I pray that someone does not get trapped inside during a vehicular accident or fire, because the door handles are not guaranteed to open and will break easily. I need to know if it is anyway GMC and their engineers can be made to do the necessary repairs at no charge to the consumers and correct their mistake.
Dashboard has two creaks at passage air bag. Vehicle also has takata recall with no resolution. I am concerned dash may injure passage if air bag inflates. Yukon always garaged, mileage 38,000.
The dash board near the steering column just cracked as well as the interior driverside front door. Both pieces appear to be cheap plastic. I have received a quote for $1600 to fix the door and $1000 to fix the dash when these are both defect from gm.
My GMC Yukon xl vibrates badly at all speeds but intensifies at speeds between 40-55. The vibration can be felt through the whole frame of the car. The cabin creates a throbbiing sound, like a helicopter inside the car. The steering wheel vibrates. The car consumes oil at an alarming rate with no visible leaks or noticable exhaust. The car surges unexpectedly somethines around corners or backing out of parking spots. And the rear "clunks" when accelerating from a slow speed such as onto a highway entrance ramp. The rearview camera a is totally worthelss in low light levels and cannot be used for safe back up operations. Dealer has had the car for over 50 days and has replaced the transmission, replaced the torque converter, has replaced the struts and shocks and has changed fluisd as per gm instruction. In all this time and over 6 visits, they cannot fix and have told me that gm has said this is the "new normal". If this is normal, why did they spend so much to try and fix somethig that was not wrong? the dealer also told me that the rear view camera will not work properly becuase of all of the factory options on the car and that degrades the quoality of the image. Gm has not contacted me although I have requested through the dealer that they do so. I see this is a common problem with GMC cars of this years model. I woul dlike to see action taken against GMC to correct this or make me whole.
The contact owns a 2015 GMC Yukon. While driving at unknown speeds, the exterior window trim was falling off. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer (lafontaine Cadillac Buick GMC, 4000 w highland rd, highland, mi 48357) where it was diagnosed that the vehicle trim needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the issue, but did not offer any assistance. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 52,000.
Vehicle vibrates during driving speeds above 35 mph. Had tired rotated and balanced, still vibrated, replaced tires and received 4 wheel alignment, still shakes bad. When traveling at speeds above 35, seats starts to shake as if you are traveling over a bad bumpy road. This occurs both on city streets and highways.
The interior door handle chrome is peeling off, and it cut my wife's hand today. There are 3 of the 4 doors that have it peeling, and I am worried one of my children will cut there fingers also.
