Broken/leaking brake lines due to severe underbody corrosion: frame, brake and gas lines, front suspension, spare tire assembly, nuts, bolts, exhaust pipes, etc. Along with this I replaced two transmissions, once due to radiator failure, fuel pump failure, brake caliper failure, a few sets of rear parking brake shoes because the adjustments dont work properly, three window regulators and all within 163,630 miles. Yea I'm pis@#$ off.

The contact owns a 2005 GMC Yukon. While parked with the engine running, the contact could smell gasoline coming from the vehicle. Upon examination he could see gasoline spraying out like mist from underneath the vehicle. The vehicle was shut off as gasoline began to drip from underneath the vehicle. He looked under the vehicle and noticed the fuel was leaking from two small holes pierced through one of the fuel lines. The vehicle was not taken to be examined for the cause of failure and was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was unavailable.

My 2003 Yukon xl (51,000 miles) flex fuel sensor is rotting off the vehicle. Was told it is not covered. It is self destructing around the area where the fuel lines enter the sensor. If the corrosion continues it will cause fuel to spray all over the undercarriage. I am an ase master tech. And a vocational automotive instructor. I feel this could pose a severe safety issue.

1999 Yukon fuel leaked out onto the engine. The consumer stated the fuel pump. A recall was issued, however the consumers vehicle was not included in the recall. The anti-lock brakes failed.
Noticed oil spots on garage floor. Drove to GMC dealer for repair. First repair, dealer incorrectly diagnosed problem as fuel filter leak. Second repair, I indicated that the leak was from transfer case not fuel filter. Dealer removed/reinstalled transfer case to replace defective/install a new seal ring to correct problem.
Fuel pump and fuel line failed without warning, while driving.
