Anytime the vehicle is running the fumes from the exhaust make me and my kids feel nauseous and giving headaches just from walking to/around the truck to get in. We are taking this truck to the dealer on Monday. Being the 3rd dealer we have taken it to in the past year. Have had many other issues out of this vehicle and just cant seem to get them all fixed. For such a pricey vehicle you wouldnt think there would be this many problems. The lift gate is popping not wanting to open or shuts on you as you walk under it. The window appliques are just slowly flying off 1 by 1. Transmission is hard shifting in low gears, during acceleration and deceleration. We have a horrible grinding/squeaking noise in the front that you can feel in the floor boards. The brakes, we had a module replaced, but it still feels as if when pushing the pedal it looses pressure, causing near accidents. This is insane!!!!!! boought this truck just over a year ago and have had nothing but problems. Waste of time and money!.

Tl the contact owns a 2007 GMC Yukon. While driving, a loud knocking noise was heard from the engine compartment. In addition, the traction control, engine, and stabilitrak warning indicators illuminated and started to flicker. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road and the gear shifter failed to move into drive. The contact had to drive the vehicle in low gear to his residence. In addition, the vehicle made a loud noise while idling. The vehicle was later towed to an independent mechanic who stated that, due to hard shifting, it failed to drive and the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact to take the vehicle to a local dealer. The approximate failure mileage was 200,000.

Vehicle drive train operates erratically in various operating situations and has extensive vibrations between 25-40mph; vibrations are worse in certain gears. Significant lungeing and jerking of shifting gears on acceleration, particularly when not accelerating intensely. Vehicle makes a clunk/knock sound when decelerating rapedly. Taken in for service 2x at 2 different GMC dealers. Transmission has been reprogrammed 1x. Nither dealer provided GMC technical service bulletin "#99-04-20-002i: information on drive train clunk noise - (Nov 18, 2014)" after my vehicle was taken on an unautherized 30 mile test drive I was told it's normal operation' and "customer concern not duplicated at this time". Simply find this hard to believe as the operations as described are being acknowledged by a GMC bulletin. This is serious: (1) the sudden jerking/slamming of gears will have a long term effect on the transmission (2) the acceleration on downshifting is a huge liability as the increased possibility of collision is significant and (3) diffinetly not 'normal' operation.
Vehicle drive train operates erratically in various operating situations and has extensive vibrations between 25-40mph; vibrations are worse in certain gears. Significant lungeing and jerking on shifting gears on acceleration particularly when not accelerating intensely. Most concerning: when decelerating after running at highway speeds and downshifting (I. E. Exit ramps, highway service/rest areas), vehicle accelerates (after downshifting) and requires extensive brake pressure to slow and control. Taken in for service 3x at 3 different GMC dealers. Transmission has been reprogrammed 2x. 3rd dealer provided GMC technical service bulletin "#99-04-20-002i: information on drive train clunk noise - (Nov 18, 2014)" and told it's 'normal operation' and is due to drivetrain 'lash' (aka gear slop or play). Paid $150 to be told "customer concern not duplicated at this time". Simply find this hard to believe as the operations as described are readily apparent. In all seriousness: (1) the sudden jerking/slamming of gears on acceleration has been notice by several passengers not just myself, (2) the acceleration on downshifting is a huge liability as the increased possibility of rear end collision is significant and (3) no way is it 'normal' operation.
I purchased my car brand new. After one week I notice my car jerking when shifting gears. I took the car back to the same dealership I brought it from, the service manager told me thats how it changes gears from 4 cylinder to 8 cylinder. So me believing in the service manager, I went along with him. Well after having different people ride with me they asked me what is wrong with your nee car? why is it shifting gears so hard. So I took it back in to dealership I talk to same service manager that my car is jerking and making a loud noise . Well lets just say I got the run around. Then 6 months later I took it back and forth multiple times for same problem. Now this time my turning signals we blinking on and off, whenever I washed my car or it rained. Then my front headlights were doing the same thing, then the back tail lights were going on and off. Now onto my heated and a/c seats were not working. Then my interior lights wete staying on, monitor display was shorting out. Now it 2020 and my hood and top of the car are oxidizing. I thought I paid $80k for this car and this what happens!! I park in the garage too! there is alot more problems to add, but not enough space to put down. Im dealing with the GMC headquarters now. My car is a lemon!!.

I have a 2015 Yukon denali and I was driving 65 on the highway and the engine shut down completely. A warning message said engine power failure. I had 4 cars and an 18 wheeler behind me at the time. I managed to put the vehicle in neutral and coast to the side of the road onto a median. It was towed to the dealership where they started trying say it might have been bad gas. Then I was told I cracked valve and they already had one other just like this, then 1 day later after a tech level 2 and a shop forum looked at it, and a conversation with a gm pac rep, gm approved a complete engine replacement! I was shocked. I've had the same 4-wheel drive issues everyone else has. I've also had a/c problems, steer wheel popping noises, sunroof loud wind noises. My seat shifts when I drive it. The a/c seats don't cool properly, which I found out when they put me in a loaner Yukon that worked fine. The speedometer gauge also didn't work for 2 days, which I have a picture of and received a warning ticket for when I was pulled over by an officer not knowing what speed I was going. I passenger step guard doesn't always retract properly. My unit was purchase may 2014 and was one of the first 4 x 4 units that was produced and has had constant problems. Gm keeps denying a buyback, then no trade assistance, then now has offered an extended warranty. This particular vehicle I have is not safe for my family to be riding in. I can't trade it in or sell it to anyone else knowing the problems it has. The dealer won't even take it because they know the problem that they are dealing with.
Problem started when driving at 60-70 mph you can feel a strong vibration cauaes entire truck to shake dont know what it is dealers cant fix also transmisin shifts into gears hard accelerates by itself causes rough driving very loud noise under truck soumds like transmisin about to come off and also shifts into 4wd by itself or park to nuetral and truck wont run.
Accelerating to pass a slow vehicle 40mpr in a 60mpr zone, while accelerating the powertrain failed no power in drive. While coasting on the shoulder I tried shifting to other gears - received power on second gear however rubbing noise and hardly any power. Luckily my dealer was within a mile of where this failure occurred and limped to the dealer in second gear at 25mpr.
When shifting vehicle into park there is a loud popping noise, indicating transmission failure.
