1 Transmission Not Go Into Gear problem of the 2021 GMC Yukon

Failure Date: 11/28/2020

Vehicle will not shift into gear from park. When it's in gear (you can hold the button to select a gear to move), but as soon as you release the button - it goes right back into park. It comes and goes. I've been stuck in my driveway. Stuck at the grocery store. Had it once surprise me at a stoplight and was almost rear ended - that time I needed to hold the button to escape to the nearest parking lot. Dealer, of course, was not able to replicate as they said the issue does not throw a code. I have video and pictures, which I have supplied. Sometimes the engine light comes on too. Dealership did say there were some service notes in the system regarding a similar problem, but that gm has yet to issue a TSB. I'm honestly worried this will cause a major accident and I don't trust having my family in the car. It's an $86,000 SUV. Unreal and so disappointing.

2 Transmission Not Go Into Gear problem of the 2017 GMC Yukon

Failure Date: 09/02/2018

Driving on the highway the vehicle would not shift gears causing the driver to proceed well under the posted speed limit. The driver attempted to increase speed slowly and the vehicle hesitated, the engine rever but the speed would not increase. This caused cars at the correct speed to veer out of the lane to avoid a crash. Once off the highway the vehicle was hesitant to shift gears and emitted loud revving sounds from the engine. Proceeding from a stop at a red light the vehicle hesitated movement causing the wheels to spin on the pavement and again cars to veer quickly out of the path.

When shifting into gear from a child start, the vehicle takes approximately 3 seconds to shift. During that time the vehicle is not in gear and can roll in any direction. There is a software fix for this that I must pay the dealer to install. This happens every cold start.

So I am stuck with a dangers vehicle that you can not tell what gear the vehicle is shifted in. 7 Transmission Not Go Into Gear problem of the 2006 GMC Yukon

Failure Date: 12/01/2008

One of the owners of the car was driving it to work when the car stopped pulling and would not shift gears. Before this happened, on a few occasions the car had to get a jump from another car to start. Last, the lighter did not work. When the owner got off work in the morning he had the car towed to the dealership to be checked. Later that day the owner was told that the transmission went out and the part was under warranty. The owner was also told that he could not get a rental car. The next day the owner was told that headquarters didn't want to replace the transmission but he could get a rental. Later in the week the owner was told to take the rental car back and the dealership was not going to pay for the rental. The owner was also told that he would have to pay $3500. 00 for a new transmission. Afterwards, the owner spoke to someone at headquarters and they said the owner would have to pay at least $1500. 00. The owner does not have the money to pay for the repairs and believes he should not have to pay for the repairs due to the fact the car is not three years old until the end of January.
