1 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem

Failure Date: 10/13/2015

Takata recall - I was contacted last fall by Honda motor corp advising me that my 2000 Honda Accord was part of the takata inflator recall. I contacted my local Honda dealer to make necessary repairs and was told by them that my Honda was not included in the recall. I did nothing more at that time but am becoming more concerned as I learn of the expanded recalls being announced. It is my understanding that my 2000 Accord is virtually the same vehicle as the 2001 and 2002 model years. What is different about the 2000 Accord from the 2001 and other model years that would exclude my model year from the recall? and, why would Honda motors notify me that my vehicle was included in the recall then later be told by the dealer that it is not? I have not been able to get an answer to either of these questions from my local Honda dealer and have been unsuccessful in contacting Honda motors for a response. Please help. Thank you, don fowler.

2 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem

Failure Date: 01/17/2009

Takata inflators.

3 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem

Failure Date: 09/04/2007

I have a 2000 Honda Accord se with 85k. My srs light recently came on and Honda wants a $100 to check it out. My cousin has the same exact vehicle and had the same problem. So I decided to google the problem. It seems everyone is having the same issue. I haven't taking the car in yet to get it fixed because I don't have the money for them to diagnose the problem. But hopefully there will be some sort of recall since there is obviously a defect in the system and when the light is on the safety systems such as the airbags will not work.

4 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem

Failure Date: 01/18/2005

Nhtsa campaign 02v080000; Honda issued an air bag inflator module recall. This vehicle was not included in the recall, however the air bag light remained on, which the owner's manual stated the air bag may not deploy. The VIN was outside the remedy scope.

5 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2005

Srs light remains on. Side srs comes on in turns. Dealer has stated that something in the seat needs to be replaced and we have no driver srs at this time. Vehicle is under used certified warranty but dealer states this is not covered by warranty. We puchased a Honda (have owned many!) because of reliability, durability and safety. Does not federal law require srs on current model vehicles? how can such a company refuse to fix such a major problem>>>.

6 Front Driver Side Air Bag Inflator problem

Failure Date: 08/16/2004

The air bag light came on . Consumer took the vehicle to the dealer and had the vehicle serviced. Later, consumer had her son drive and unintentionally air bag deployed on the driver's side. Consumer took the vehicle back to the dealer, and had the vehicle put on the diagnostic machine. Service manager said that some gravel or water may have caused the problem. However, the vehicle was not hit to cause the air bag to deploy.
