10 Frame And Members problem of the 2010 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 07/23/2011

I own a 2010 Honda Accord v6. I have had this car for one year. The mileage is just over 18,000 miles. When I took my car in for inspection on yesterday at the Honda dealership, they informed me that my rear brakes will need to be replaced within the next three months. I have owned Hondas every since 1989 and premature brake wear has never occurred with any of the Honda that I have owned. Please tell me what I can do to get some type of resolution for this problem. I feel this is a safety issue because your brakes are the most important thing in a car. Also, this car has a faulty front bumper. It is attached to the car by snaps. These snaps break and the bumper starts separating from the car. I have taken it back to the Honda dealership and they sent it to their body shop but the bumper is still try to separate from the car. If the bumper comes off it could cause an accident.

11 Frame And Members problem of the 2000 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 02/23/2011

Recently took a 2000 Accord se to Honda dealer for trade in. The dealership put the car on the hoist for inspection before determining a trade in price. One of the first places that the mechanic looked was at the frame and front suspension on the passenger's side. Almost immediately it was found that over half the width of the front cross beam was wasted away, and was in danger of breaking off at any time. Both the mechanic and salesman agreed, this was a problem they had seen many times on several differnt years of this model. The rotting of the beam was apparently caused by condensate dripping from the air conditioner drain, which was located directly above the beam. I was told that because it had been such a problem, the drains had been moved to a different location on the next generation. The estimate to have it repaired was $1300. 00. Other than that, the car was deemed to be in excellent re-sale condition.

12 Frame And Members problem of the 2009 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 12/26/2009

I was driving my 2009 Honda Accord 4dr sdn about 70 miles per hr. When the glass on the sunroof blew out the top. It was not hit by a rock or anything as we were not following anyone or met anyone going in the opposite direction. The glass was almost all sucked up and out the top so very little fell in on us. We took it to dealer and had the repairs made.

Creaking in the rear shelf deck in trunk. The creaking occurs whenever there is flexing of the body of the car such as in turning corners, turning into a driveway or driving over uneven ground. Sheet metal was pulled away from each other in the rear shelf in an attempt to prevent the metal on metal creaking. There have been reports from other owners that the cause of the creaking is due to a broken or several broken spot welds in the rear shelf of the car.

16 Frame And Members problem of the 2005 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 06/20/2008

While driving in the middle of a heat wave, the air conditioning in my 2005 Honda Accord hybrid had stopped blowing cold air. I had only had my car for three months, so I was confused at why my air conditioning had gone out. I took the car to a mechanic who told me that a rock had hit and damaged the ac condenser, causing the freon gas to leak from the condenser. He said that the condenser is located in front of the radiator and because of its location is will always be exposed to debris while driving. The condenser can be seen through the large holes of the vent at the front of the car. The mechanic gave me a $750 estimate for the part and labor. Since the car is a newer model, there are not old parts available. He also informed me that because the car was not designed to protect the condenser, that it is very likely that the part will be damaged again and again. This part is not covered by the warranty and I cannot afford to pay $750 every time this occurs.

17 Frame And Members problem of the 2007 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 11/10/2007

Date of service - 6/15/07 windows engrave number: 273256989 2007 Honda Accord coupe ex-l purchased from: west hills Honda, bremerton, washington to whom it may concern: I am not sure if I received a defective new Honda Accord, or perhaps a lemon. I have had my car to the dealership over five times already. I have less than 5,000 miles on my car and the rattling problems that I am having on the left side of my interior inside of my car both front and back and the sunroof is nerve wrecking. I want this fix and tired of going back and forth, only being told they couldn't find anything. I am not retarded nor am I hearing rattling in my mind. I am still having excessive rattling inside of my car, each attempt they (dealership) claim they can not pin point the problem. I am not hard of hearing and I hope the tech's are not deaf, because even my passengers complaint about the noises. I just think Honda does not want to stand up and correct the problems. I will have no choice but to suit for a defective product. This is a new car under full warranty. I should not be getting excessive rattling in the compartment of the car. I want the dealer to pinpoint the rattling and make it so that the rattling goes away. The interior quality is not good and needs to be taking care corrected this is supposed to be a brand new car. I brought a Honda for it reputation of quality, not to hear constant rattling. I am pissed off. I paid good money for this car and should not have all of these problems.

22 Frame And Members problem of the 2003 Honda Accord

Failure Date: 10/20/2002

Falling acorns have left over 30 pock marks on the body of the vehicle. We also have a 2002 Honda crv that was subjected to the same conditions with much less damage resulting, just a few small dings. The metal on the 2003 Accord feels significantly weaker to the touch than the body of the 2002 crv. I previously had a 2000 Accord that was also subjected to these conditions with minor damage. This car looks like it was pelted with hail stones. It seems to me that a car should withstand the impact of an acorn! I wonder how it would do in a crash test. Dt.

Both underfenders for front fenders spontaneously detached on flat, dry highway when I was going at a steady speed of 45 mph.
