Was in a car accident and the airbags did not deploy. I was diagnosed with a fractured sternum as my chest hit the steering wheel.
You listed this VIN as having an airbag recall repair pending. I setup an appointment at the dealer. They went through the motions of doing the replacement and gave me paperwork indicating they had serviced the recall, but I believe you had lied to me and they are lying to me about the recall. This VIN does not correspond to an airbag recall according to multiple other sources. I recently inspected the passenger airbag it definitely not new. That is what clued me to begin checking further. I don't believe they replaced the driver airbag either. In the mean time I had to take buses to and from the dealership, after work, at night, in the rain, in the middle of this omicron covid spike. You an the dealer endangered my health and I want to know why and who is responsible.

I am looking for a remedy to this recall. Apparently the remedy is unavailable and has been for months. Nothing has happened as far as the airbags are concerned. I am noting the 5/22/20 date as the date I have called to try and find a working remedy and to file a complaint.
I have noticed the air bag recall before, but 1999 models are excluded now. Is ths a legal battle won by the manufacturer? can I be more certain that my car is safe? might the air bag kill me yet?.
Takata air bag recalls.
Takata recall.
The driver of the Honda(my car) was driving straight thru an intersection. The other driver was making a left turn in a yellow light. He didn't see me and hit me on the drivers' side. I was wearing my seat belt which did not lock causing my head to hit the windshield. The airbags did not open either. I was injured on my head and eye as well as other bodily injuries. The vehicle was totaled according to the insurance company.
While traveling through a parking lot, a lamp post was hit on the driver side quarer panel above the tire. The speed traveled was 5 mph and the airbags went off. There are numerous problems complaints of airbags not going off in frontal collisions, but a side impact at 5 mph caused the airbag to go off, which in turn also twisted the dash board and broke the front windshield. The actual crash itself caused less then $500 of damage, it is the airbag, windshield, and dash board that caused all of the damage.
Had car 4 months and srs light came on, they will not stand behind their warranty.
