I have been experiencing multiple electrical issues since about 6 months after purchase with brake light bulbs repeatedly burning out along with every system icon on the dash flashing off and on while driving the car it will not start always and at times it will not open with the key or the remote fob all being taken in to shops for repairs and within weeks I can be back to the shop with yet another so called fix this recurring problem is a big safety issue.

The stability braking system suddenly fail. Parking brake does not work. The brake warning lights on the dash are on. The dealer claimed they had already fixed the recall but obviously not because the problem is still there.
The brake and abs light is on and I'm afraid to drive the vehicle because I feel very unsafe and unstable it's very dangerous for me and the other people please help me fix this matter thank you.

On March 27, 2020, I was driving to work when my car's abs lights, brake system lights, stability control lights, and another light I did not recognize all lit up at the same time. My car began to swerve and suddenly my car's steering wheel and front wheels locked up. I lost control of the car and wasn't able to correct anything because the steering wheel and front wheels were both locked. I hit a farm fence with the left side of my car, and slid across the road into a ditch. My airbags did not deploy despite the sudden impact to the driver's side door. The car wheels were so locked up that the tow truck drivers had difficulty loading the car on/off the tow truck. The emergency lights stayed on, even when the car was turned off and back on. A week prior to this, my car turned itself off while I was driving, but I was able to correct the problem by turning the ignition key off and then back on. I've attached a picture of my dashboard after the accident to show what emergency lights were lit up. My insurance company is in the process of investigating this claim, but I wanted to report this in case this is a recall that needs to be sent out.

I purchase this car in June of 2019; I had the car for approx 5 months. I told the Honda dealer mechanic that something was wrong with the brakes when I bought it. I brought it back in September. They claim they checked the brakes and everything was find. I had a maintenance check and an oil check. A month in half later I experience the problem with the brakes I was complaining about in September. On 11/14/19 I drove my car to a location no problems. I parked the car . When I went back to turn on the car that's when the brake lights came on saying electrical brake problem. I read they had a recall on the electrical brake system. I wonder did this car ever got fixed from the recall. Turned my car on and the brake system light begin flashing stating electric parking brake problem. The red light continued blinking. The car was in park when this happen. The car was stationary. I drove the car on with the warning lights still on.
Had brakes done car ran perfectly fine until I drove about 71 miles out parked car and got back into car turned it on again to head back home when anti brake system warning lights came on this is electric parking brake problem, brake system problem, brake hold system problem. The brake system light stays on and when accelerating the red brake light flashes until the car is either placed on cruise control or comes to a complete stop on on drive reverse it does not flash.
Brake light came on flashing, brake system light, and error on panel electric parking break failure. This seems to be a recall on most 2016 models.
While driving my vehicle the brakes slide (vibrate a little) this doesn't always occur but when it does it is obviously felt while using the brake pedal during driving. There is also a noise when I initially start my vehicle, I noticed the only warning light is the brake light alert.
I had an issue where the brakes didn't stop the vehicle while I was moving around 40 mph. As if the anti-lock braking system is activating to early when the brakes are lightly depressed. Depressing the brake further did not increase braking force. I had to avoid a rear end collision by running off the road into an embankment. I have found similar issues online where people reported this is from a vsa, abs, tcs modulator that is faulty. This system should have a fail-safe design not a fail-arming type system. Extremely dangerous that it does not! I asked a CO-worker who has a newer model Honda Civic and she said this issue has started with her car as well.
An error message keeps coming up on my center console, warning of an "electric braking problem. " the red brake light to the bottom right also flashes. This always has happened when I turn the vehicle on. While this message is displayed, I am unable to move the car forward or in reverse. I have engaged the parking brake, and the message disappears. This has happened three or four times over a period of months since I bought the car. I purchased it in September 2016 as a new vehicle from a dealership in alexandria, louisiana. It was not included in a recall announced the month after, but I believe that recall should be expanded.
Tl-the contact owns a 2017 Honda Civic, the contact just recently purchased the vehicle used. When the vehicle was started from a cold start after being parked. The check engine light and the abs brake warning light illuminated before the failure. The vehicle was taken to sunwest Honda 1030 north coast highway, newport, or 97365 (541) 265-8547, where the contact was advised that the problem could not be duplicated. The manufacturer was contacted and made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 5,000. Cb.

Cover for center brake light keeps coming loose, obscuring rear window and flooding interior with red light when brake is applied at night. Known issue, but dealers do not have guidance on how to permanently fix it.
Third brake light housing feel off the same day that I purchased the vehicle. At night, the entire rear window lights up when I brake. This is a blinding and distracting light that prevents me from seeing out of my back window. This is a safety concern. Dealer refuses to fix this as per instructions from Honda.
Rear high mount brake light coming off windshield the evening I took delivery of vehicle. Took it back to dealer where they tried to reattach it. The repair lasted a day. They ordered a new assembly and tried to attach it. The assembly was unglued before I got home. It has not yet come fully off, but it is a distraction and, when using the brakes at night, obscures my vision through the rear windshield. Dealer said this is a known defect an are waiting on Honda of America to come up with a repair. Very poor engineering on Honda's part and I don't know what I'm going to do if/when the thing comes fully off. I was driving home the first time I took notice of the problem. The car was stationary when I noticed it the second time. I don't think movement was a factor, just poor design and adhesion.
I purchased my 2016 Civic ex in November 2015. Very soon after I noticed 4 notifications on the touchscreen regarding brake system failure. I brought the vehicle in to the service department and was told those notifications were from manufacturing and were most likely not cleared during intake walkthrough. In June I started noticing a relay clicking noise coming from under the steering column that persisted while driving. It happens while the vehicle is in motion, or when I remove my foot from the brake pedal while at a stop. As soon as I depress the brake petal the click stops. As of today I have had my vehicle in for service 4 times to correct the issue and it continues. First they replaced the brake light switch and as soon as I left the parking lot the vehicle began clicking. They replaced the vsa modulator and insisted the clicking had ceased. The clicking began as soon as I left the dealership. The third time the service techs were unable to duplicate and therefore not able to investigate or repair. Clicking began as soon as I left the dealership and continued there after. Again the 4 brake failure notifications appeared on the touchscreen so I returned to the dealership with the vehicle. Every repair attempt has been something to do with the braking system and I continue to have brake failure notifications and an issue the techs are unable to repair. I do not feel safe continuing to drive myself and my children in this vehicle.
The center (interior) brake light works intermittently. Many others have had same problem. Only affects ex model led light assembly. It is unsafe and costly fix. It should be recalled.

My brake lights failed except for the middle brake light above the trunk. Both bulbs have been replaced as well as the fuse. All other lights including hazard, backup, and blinkers work. An independent mechanic has examined the vehicle and confirmed the problem lies with the brake position switch and is related Honda defect code 5ey00 related to vins that begin jhmfa1 and supplied with me with a Honda service bulletins referring to this. 2 Honda service associates have insisted this is not under a recall. This is dangerous, please help.

I was driving through an urban area in the morning on my way to work. The brake peddle got spongy and about 60 seconds later, while trying to stop at a red light, the brake peddle went to the floor and I had absolutely no stopping power. At no point, prior to the incident or after the incident did any kind of warning light appear. I was able to stop with the emergency brake. There was also a strong burning smell in the car at the time. Gradually the braking power came back to about 50% and I was able to drive the car to the dealership some 20 miles away. Still - no brake warning light. The dealership blames the problem on the car being driven with the emergency brake on (which it was not except for the initial emergency stop). They don't seem bothered that all braking power was lost on the vehicle without any warning lights displayed. The car requires new rear brakes to make it drive-able again. The manufacturer is refusing to cover the repair under their manufacturer warranty.
Operating my vechicle on 2 lane street in ashburn virgina, applied brakes on car lightly and brakes seem to lock up, auto spun out of control and I landed into pond. **I am reporting this problem because I have noticed the same tail-lighting failure on dozens of seventh-generation Honda Civics now on the road. ** my 2005 Honda Civic 4-dr sedan failed its 2013 virginia safety inspection because the license-plate light and trunk-located brake lights (of which there are two) were not working. I took the car to landmark Honda of alexandria, va. , and they discovered that the wiring in the car's trunk was broken. They soldered the wire to fix the problem. In February 2014 I experienced the same problem and took the sedan to my local dealer in boston, mass. , where I now live (Honda cars of boston). They discovered that the soldering had failed and they replaced a trunk wiring harness to better resolve the problem. I spent approximately $500 between the two repair jobs at the two Honda dealers. I am concerned that all seventh-generation Honda Civics may suffer from a wiring defect that affects vehicles' visibility on the road. I am the original owner of this vehicle.

I got a recall notice (Nov. 2012) about 2003 Honda Civic's headlights failing. About a week later in the early morning as I was going to work, my car headlights failed as I left my driveway. I left the car at home and took another. On return from work I found both headlights out, no blown fuses, heater fan not working, both abs and brake panel lights on. I scheduled repair at o'hare Honda, des plaines, IL. I arrived at the service dept. With recall notice and also to have additional maintenance services. I left the car for them to work on it. Repair work done on invoice #410741 dated Nov. 19, 2012. The service writer called me the next day and told me the brake light repair required the master cylinder to be replaced. I ok'd major work. Service writer called back to say the abs module needed to be replaced too. I ok'd that repair at large cost also. When I picked up my car the service writer told me they "put in a free alternator as that too was bad". The headlight repair cost $1,877. 77 ($1,326. 17 for parts + $551. 60 labor). I have been thinking about this repair and have come to the conclusion that the voltage regulator on the alternator failed and put a large surge on the electrical system of the car. This surge "fried" the electrics on the two brake parts and burned out the headlights. The "free" alternator should have been the clue to the cause of the problem. I don't understand why some device can not be installed into the electrical wiring system of the car to prevent this expensive and potentially dangerous failure. The final problem with this repair was that I had to immediately return to the dealer to have them install new headlight bulbs as they must not have checked them and they were still burned out. So much for quality control.

I was driving and all of a sudden my vsa abs and emergency brake lights came on??? I pulled over and shut down my car then it disappeared please help me with this issue I notice there was a recall for 06 Civics about wheel speed sensor. . . This is probably due to this? I heard alot from forums that this can cause this? please help us all with this issue and fix this. . . Thanks.
Both rear brake lights stop working at the same time. Checked the fuse and bulb, both which are good. It appears the brake lights stop working after I pressed on brakes hard enough to engage abs in an emergency situation. The high brake light mounted on the backlite is working.
The contact owns a 2007 Honda Civic. The contact stated while inspecting the vehicle, he noticed that the high mount brake light failed to work. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000 and the current mileage was 100,000.
Having taken my car in for a routine maintenance at 91,000 miles I was told that the brake light switch was only working on an intermediate basis. I was also told that a product recall was in place for same year make - different model. I'm having this corrected at my expense but felt it necessary to alert you folks to a possible defect in other cars of same make and model year.
I was approaching an intersection at approx. 45 mph in my 2007 Honda Civic. Seeing that the traffic signal had just turned red I applied the brakes. At that instant I heard a "pop" and found that the brake pedal was almost to the floor and the brake light warning light was displayed on my dashboard. Fortunately I made it through the intersection without striking anyone. I "nursed" the car to the dealership and was told that I had a blown brake line. A new line was installed , at a cost of $280. 00. I was told that "you must have hit something which shot up and struck the line". I told the service manager that, just as I stated above, "I stepped on the brake and heard a pop! I definitely did not strike anything! I then requested the replaced brake line which I now have in my possession.
