Pe00 020; consumer was traveling about 60mph on highway and heard a noise. He felt that rear went down. He was able to pull over to shoulder, and noticed that left rear driver's side tire tread had separated from rim. Firestone tire, fr690. He hasn't called firestone.

All of the tire tread down to the steel belt peeled off of the tire while driving down us route 4 in lakeland ,florida. There was no sign or warning of the tire being in trouble. I barely was able to keep control of the car. (dot number: w2epvaa tiresize: p175/70r14).

While driving about 65 mph tire on the rear passenger's side busted. On 9/11/00, driver experienced the same problem with tire on the front passenger's side, however this one did not blowout while driving, right rear tire blewout while driving on 9/13. Dunlop has been contacted about the tires. Dunlop was willing to replace the tires at half price.

Consumer was traveling about 65mph on freeway and heard a loud banging noise. She almost lost control of vehicle. The right front tire's tread separated. Tires were dunlop db7c1199 . She contacted dunlop, and attendant told her that they would pro rate her tires. It was noticed that the other front tire was beginning to separate also. 2 days later, the right rear tire experienced a blowout, dunlop representative stated that the tires only last 20000 to 30000 miles and consumer's tires had 29784 miles on them.
