I purchased a brand-new 2026 Honda Cr-v hybrid. Less than three months later, the adaptive cruise control and collision-avoidance radar module was stolen in under a minute, forcing me to pay $2,650. 98 out of pocket for repairs. In new york, the front radar module on the new Honda Cr-v hybrid is a frequent target for theft; owners often suffer losses of around $3,000 in just sixty seconds (exact costs vary by Honda service center). I consider this a clear design flaw by Honda: the collision-avoidance radar—which also integrates the adaptive cruise control function—can be easily removed using only a screwdriver, without even opening the hood or doors. This situation is completely unacceptable. Honda has failed to implement any anti-theft measures to prevent such incidents, leaving owners facing massive financial losses in the blink of an eye. This is unacceptable. Honda service personnel have acknowledged that the front radar on the new Cr-v is extremely susceptible to theft. They have already repaired multiple 2026 Honda Cr-vs that had their front radars stolen. I strongly suspect that the Honda Cr-v suffers from a serious design flaw. I strongly demand that Honda provide compensation to owners whose radars have been stolen.

While driving on October 2, 2026, the driver-side rear trailing arm and subframe mounting structure detached from the frame due to severe corrosion. The vehicle was immediately taken to brandon Honda (tampa, FL) for inspection under safety recall 23v228000 / campaign 23-032. Brandon Honda documented on repair order #250035 that the "driver rear sub-frame looks to be completely detached. " however, instead of submitting required inspection failure photos to Honda techline for corporate repurchase evaluation as mandated by service bulletin 23-032, the dealership issued a $4,222. 77 customer-pay body shop estimate from nu finish collision center (estimate #046670) to replace the suspension crossmember, trailing arm, and frame rails out of pocket. The vehicle has a completely detached rear trailing arm/subframe, fails the safety recall inspection, and is grounded at the dealership as unsafe to drive. The dealership is refusing to follow official recall failure protocol and attempting to shift financial responsibility onto the consumer for a safety defect covered under federal recall mandates.

I own a 2011 Honda Cr-v that previously received the remedy for NHTSA recall #23v-228 regarding rear frame and trailing arm corrosion. Although the support brace was installed, the vehicle’s structural integrity is actively failing due to ongoing rust. This safety recall affects over 560,000 vehicles, yet many are still bought and sold daily with severe frame rot. I was sold one of these unsafe vehicles, and the trailing arm is now on the verge of breaking away completely. I have contacted american Honda motor CO. , but they have refused to offer further assistance, claiming that performing the initial recall brace satisfies their legal obligation. Problem description: while driving at approximately 35 mph, the primary and secondary vehicle hood latches failed, causing the hood to unlatch completely and fly up against the windshield. This completely obstructed my forward visibility, forcing me to execute sudden, emergency braking to bring the vehicle to a safe stop. Consequences: while this incident required emergency braking, it luckily did not result in a collision or personal injury. Corrective action: in the process of finding a body shop to make repairs. I am filing this complaint regarding the sunroof glass on my 2025 Honda Cr-v, VIN [xxx]. On xxx, while I was driving on the interstate at highway speed, I heard a loud pop/combustion-like sound. I immediately pulled over and discovered that the sunroof glass had shattered and fallen inward into the vehicle. I did not see any object, rock, or debris strike the sunroof before it shattered. There was no known impact that I could identify. The glass appeared to fail suddenly while the vehicle was being driven. I am concerned because a sunroof unexpectedly shattering while traveling at highway speed could create a safety hazard for the driver and passengers and could cause the driver to become startled or lose control of the vehicle. The vehicle had approximately 27,875 miles at the time of the incident. The vehicle’s in-service date was xxx. I contacted Honda regarding the damage, but the warranty claim for the window/sunroof glass was denied. I am requesting that NHTSA document this incident and review whether there is a potential safety defect involving sunroof glass on 2025 Honda Cr-v vehicles. I have photographs of the shattered sunroof and can provide additional documentation regarding the vehicle, Honda’s warranty determination, and the incident if requested. I am aware of other reports involving 2025 Honda Cr-v sunroofs shattering unexpectedly, which is another reason I believe this incident should be documented and reviewed. The factory hood anti-flutter adhesive (nvh mastic) separating the inner hood support frame from the outer sheet metal skin has failed and unbonded. As a result, the outer hood skin flexes, vibrates, and flutters severely at highway speeds, creating a distraction and posing a potential risk of structural latch or hood fatigue failure over time.

1) left rear trailing arm broke while driving, causing high risk of injury. ( a known problem with this model. A recall issued in other salt belt states, but not north carolina. Living in western nc, we have extreme amounts of salt due to (3) ski slopes in our area. Yes. 2) unknowing of the recall my husband and I were traveling home from out of town. We made it to our town when the wheel arm broke, causing the vehicle to stop unexpectedly. Had this happened while driving on the interstate like we were, we would not have survived it, and who knows how may others would have been killed or injured. 3) yes, when seeking repairs for the vehicle, we were told that no one would do repairs for the vehicle. It was then we found out about the recall for the other states. 4)no, manufacturer has been contacted. 5) no, there were none that we were aware of, except a crunch sound when making a sharp turn. It was heard the weekend we were out of town, but only a few times.

Are executing safety recall 23v228. I presented my vehicle to an authorized Honda dealer for the rear frame rust inspection. (lundgren Honda of auburn MA) the technician "passed" the vehicle and offered to install the remedy support brace because the specific trailing arm bolt hole could technically receive a bolt. However, the dealer completely ignored a catastrophic structural failure directly adjacent to the recall site. The actual boxed structural frame rail just one inch above the bolt hole has completely disintegrated, leaving giant holes and heavily flaking, hollowed-out metal. Per Honda's official recall service bulletin instructions, the reinforcement brace must be securely anchored to structurally sound frame metal. Slapping a bracket onto a tiny piece of metal while the supporting frame rail above it is entirely gone creates an extreme liability and does not fix the safety risk of a suspension collapse. I contacted Honda corporate customer support to escalate this. Despite providing clear photographic proof that the structural integrity of the frame rail is gone, Honda is giving me severe pushback and delaying action on my open case file. They are ignoring a severe structural failure at the exact recall site to avoid their legal obligation for a vehicle buyback. The vehicle remains an immediate highway hazard. I have attached photographic evidence showing the gaping hole in the frame rail directly next to the recall bolt location. The car would not pass a safety inspection from a MA state inspection facility, and they refused to sticker it, or put tires on it. . . .

The vehicle was purchased Aug 7th and since delivery date the car has been having issues. The primary issue is the infotainment system, the monitor sometimes disconnects from apple carplay abruptly. During the use of this feature the navigation system will also disconnect making it unsafe when using navigation. The vehicle has a persistent problem with squeaking and tapping noise coming from the engine bay area. When going over and bumps or uneven surfaces the car rattles. The vehicle also has worse mpg than advertised. Currently getting 22. 4mpg with econ active.

The inner framework for the hood completely detached from the hood itself and very violently and aggressively shakes when the car is being driven on the highway or when it’s windy outside.

On 17 July 2026, I was attempting to park in a handicap parking place at may washington hospital center. The outdoor parking lot is to the right of the hospital entrance and consists of several terraced rows with each terrace a few feet below the one above it. I was halfway into the parking space with my foot on the brake when the car (2024 crv hybrid touring) suddenly accelerated. I pushed the brake pedal but it had no effect. There were no warnings from the safety systems. The front driver side hit a light pole which was the only thing that stopped me from going over the curb completely and dropping down onto the car below. The low speed crash still caused a total loss.

I own a 2019 Honda Cr-v and have repeatedly experienced brake-system warning lights, starting problems, a hard brake pedal and unexpected braking/deceleration. I repeatedly reported these concerns to east coast Honda, asked them to inspect the brakes, and showed photos/videos of warning lights, but many of my complaints were not documented on my repair orders. While driving, my vehicle unexpectedly braked/decelerated when there was no vehicle immediately in front of me, causing me to hit a curb. This was in July. On 9/16/26 at 52,113 miles, east coast Honda finally documented that the electric parking brake warning was going on/off while driving along with the brake-system and battery lights. They found dtc u3003-16, brake booster control unit power circuit low voltage, and replaced the electric brake booster. During the same repair, the dealer performed a Honda cmbs software update. Their repair order states that american Honda identified an adas/cmbs software condition in which “unexpected vehicle deceleration may occur. ” after the brake-booster repair, the vehicle was returned to me. It then would not start and the brake pedal became extremely hard, leaving my young son and me stranded. The dealer documented that the battery failed testing and replaced it under warranty again. This is my second battery in less than 2 years. I am concerned that the underlying brake/electrical safety defect has not been resolved. The vehicle is available for inspection. I have repair orders, photos, videos and voicemail evidence documenting these problems.

I am reporting multiple factory defects on my 2024 Honda Cr-v, led by a severe, confirmed steering safety defect commonly known as 'sticky steering' where the steering wheel sticks/notches while driving and requires excessive force to correct, causing dangerous lane swerving. The authorized Honda dealership confirmed the steering gearbox has failed and requires replacement but the necessary parts are backordered indefinitely, forcing me to leave the unsafe vehicle at the dealership. Furthermore, the vehicle suffers from two additional major unresolved warranty issues recorded under the same repair order: a defective door weather stripping seal that has peeled off and detached from the door frame, compromising cabin weather sealing, and a strong, musty mold odor emitted from the ac system on low fan speeds that poses an air quality and health concern for occupants. Due to this unaddressed steering safety hazard, additional factory defects, and backordered parts, the vehicle remains out of service at the dealership (visited on 11 July, noticed that it's unsafe driving and returned the vehicle to service on 16 Jul) and no replacement car has been provided.

I was driving and the rear tire and suspension broke looked it's completely rotted out.

We recently purchased a 2026 Honda crv lx and the rear window has shattered without cause twice. The dealership has replaced it twice, but now says they’re closing the report and calling it an environmental issue. We have two other brand new cars on our property with no environmental issues. They are refusing to continue to keep this case open until resolved. If it should happen again, we are going to be forced to get a lawyer.

The drivers side (left front door latch) is inoperative. This was a recall from Aug 2012. The latch was replaced in 2012. Yes it is available for inspection. The door opens while driving and had to be tied shut to drive home and Honda dealership. Was told by Honda corporate to drive to the nearest dealership and repairs would be made under safety recall notice from 2012, once they diagnose it as broken. Gerald Honda of mattson diagnosed the problem and ordered the part on 6/16/26. They made an appointment for 6/17/2026 at 9:00am for the repair. The door open warning light intermittently blinks off/on for the two front doors, and dings. There were no warning lights prior to 6/16/26.

I am filing a safety complaint regarding my new Honda Cr-v which is 6 months old. Water seeped into my parked and closed vehicle, and after that I experienced multiple hazard warning lights on the dashboard while driving on xx, which caused panic and concern for safety. The next day, the vehicle became unresponsive and the battery went dead. This was alarming because the warning lights appeared during highway driving, where a sudden electrical or system failure could create a crash risk. The vehicle had been parked and closed when the water intrusion occurred, so I am concerned there may be a defect related to water sealing, electrical systems, or battery failure. The dealer confirmed that the seal was broken and might have been a manufacturing defect. This caused water seepage. But they were not sure if the water seepage was related to battery giving electrical warnings and going dead. This uncertainty caused more insecurity as we do not know the reason for battery failure exactly when water leaked into the vehicle. Please investigate whether this issue is related to a safety defect. I request that this complaint be reviewed for any pattern involving water intrusion, dashboard warnings, electrical failure, or battery drain in this model. While driving at highway speeds, the factory sunroof glass panel of my brand-new Honda crv spontaneously exploded outward with a loud bang, sounding like a gunshot. There were no vehicles directly ahead of me and no overpasses nearby. The sudden explosion caused immediate driver distraction and threw glass fragments, presenting a severe safety hazard at high speed. There were no warning indicators, physical symptoms, or unusual noises prior to the sudden failure. The vehicle was subsequently brought to an authorized Honda inspector (farrish auto body) for a technical teardown and inspection. The certified estimator formally determined and documented that there was absolutely no evidence of an external impact point, rock strike, or road debris damage, confirming a spontaneous structural glass failure due to a manufacturing or assembly defect. The vehicle is currently un-drivable due to the missing roof panel and structural hazard, and the manufacturer (american Honda corporate case open) and purchasing dealership (darcars Honda of fairfax) have delayed providing a resolution or safe temporary transportation. The component and the vehicle remain available for further official inspection.

While driving on the interstate, the sunroof shattered. The middle section was completely shattered with glass remaining on the edges. I attempted to contain the remaining pieces by putting duct tape across the whole top. Further down the highway the entire sunroof blew off the vehicle. Not only was this frightening for me, it could have been a real hazard for anyone behind me. Luckily traffic was light and no one was driving directly behind.

On 05/06/2026 the vehicle was in for service at the Honda dealership (the automaster, 3328 shelburne rd. Shelburne vt 05482). The inspection report notes "rust holes forming above rear trailing arms, non reparable area, will not pass future state inspection, recommend customer contact Honda of America @ 1-800-999-1009". They also provided a picture of the problem. I took the car to another garage and was informed that yes, this was a real issue and that the garage owner just spoke with someone who had a 2018 crv with the same problem. The Honda dealership sent me a recommendation letter that stated "***rear trailing arms (soon), *** state inspection.

The panoramic sunroof glass on my 2025 Honda Cr-v hybrid spontaneously shattered while the vehicle was parked and unoccupied in an indoor garage for approximately one week. There was no external impact, airborne object, or temperature extreme involved. The vehicle is stored in a covered underground parking structure. The glass shattered inward, with fragments falling onto the driver seat, passenger seat, center console, and floor. The sunroof frame shows no signs of external force or impact point. The vehicle had approximately 5,194 miles at the time of discovery. No warning lamps or prior symptoms appeared before the failure. The component is available for inspection. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by a dealer or manufacturer representative, though I intend to bring it to a Honda dealership. This issue poses a significant safety risk, as spontaneous shattering of glass over an occupied cabin could cause injury to passengers. I am aware of a class action lawsuit (tappana v. American Honda motor CO. , case no. 2:21-cv-09046) alleging Honda has known about this sunroof defect since 1995.

Catastrophic rust damage to the rear trailing arm and its mounting point, where the metal has completely rotted through and fractured.

Roseville Toyota sold me a car with a faulty hood latch. It’s a safety issue and they refuse to acknowledge that they failed pre-inspections and refuse to fix it. I have to take it to an expert in order to close the hood.

I was driving along I-20/59 northbound approaching bessemer, al near or between mile marker 102-104. Suddenly I heard a “pop” sound coming from behind me and noticed in my rear view mirror the rear windshield had a small hole in it. I had just merged into the far left passing lane when this occurred and then proceeded to merge to exit onto exit 104 (mcashan dr. / mccalla). As I continued to drive glass began to shatter and the hole expanded. I was initially startled and afraid because I didn’t know what was happening. Once I exited, I parked at the flying j truck stop and exited the vehicle to further assess. I called my parents and then a bessemer police officer to file a report. I’m not certain if something hit my windshield, if this is the result of a manufacturing malfunction, or other unknown occurrence due to external factors.

There are known issues with Honda crv’s frames rusting in many states. There was a recall which we had inspection and straps added to strengthen frame. Now, frame has failed and even after filing a case with Honda care in April 2026, they continue to close the case, reopen it when we call back, call us with ring less voice mails so we are never able to talk to any case manager, and leave recorded voicemail for us to call back - and there is no “alexis” case manager. Dealership dahl Honda in rhinelander has been no help and upon initial inspection in April, would not say if safe to drive or not - only would say they forwarded pics and info to Honda care.

While driving down the highway early in the morning the sunroof glass exploded. There were no other vehicles on the road, there was no impact. My vehicle is stored under a carport.

Car was assessed for recall related to service bulletin 23-032. Recall was performed, but the mechanic who performed the recall says the car is not repaired because the rear frame corrosion, as described in bulletin 23-032, is so severe that a large piece is missing from the rear frame. The mechanic says the repair as described in the bulletin is not enough to fix the car. The service bulletin remedy was only performed because the rear trailing arm bolts were able to be removed, but the car is still unsafe due to rear frame corrosion that Honda has admitted to as per the recall. The car is considered unsafe due to the frame damage and likely cannot pass state inspection. After calling Honda, Honda says the repair is complete even though the mechanic who performed the recall says the repair is not complete and the car is unsafe due to issues with rear frame corrosion that led to the recall in the first place. Honda is refusing to discuss the issue any further. A screenshot of the damaged part of the rear frame has been attached. This is part of a video taken by the mechanic who performed the recall. In this video the mechanic also states that “this is not a repair. ” he also states that part of the damage is obscured by the brace that was attached to the frame, so the image provided does not show the full extent of the damage.

The incident: on January 16, 2026, around 9:00 am, while I was driving on the edens expressway from glenview to evanston, I heard a loud "explosion-type" sound.   safety factor: the moonroof spontaneously combusted, but the sunshade was closed due to the 30-degree snowy weather, which fortunately prevented glass from falling on me.   dealer inspection: muller Honda inspected the vehicle and confirmed that the breakage was not caused by rocks, external influences, or negligence.   dispute: despite the car being under warranty and evidence from the dealer, Honda has refused to take accountability. There have been similar reports from other owners and past class action lawsuits involving Cr-v models from 2022 to 2025.

There was a safety recall for the rear arm control and excessive rust, Honda said they fixed it back in 2018… out of no where my car lost control and caused me to crash, I brought the car back to Honda and the rear arm bracket broke off due to excessive rust however Honda states it was repaired and there is nothing they can do, they won’t even look at the vehicle.

Driving on the highway, when the glass suddenly shattered, there is no evidence of a projectile causing it.

During the installation of the rear frame bracket (recommended from the 2011 recall), it was determined the vehicle is unsafe. The frame brace recall not designed for the 2012 crv would not fit the vehicle. Notified customer of the condition of the left control arm. Not safe for the road. Recommended not to drive this vehicle.
