37 Body problem of the 2015 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 05/28/2025

My battery keeps running down, even after I had it replaced by aaa. Took it to kingsport Honda and had it checked out. They said it was the driver side door handle that was drawing down the battery. They already knew what the problem was, but to make sure they put a meter on it. The handel has gotten so hot it has visibaly damaged the inside door panel. They only want 795. 00 to replace the handle. Sounds like a manufacturing problem. This is very unsafe.

38 Body problem of the 2008 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 05/01/2025

This is a complaint in reference to a current recall for the rear rust and corrosion issues on Honda crvs, part 573 safety recall report 23v-228. I brought my vehicle to matt burne Honda on January 7 2025 for this recall and they "inspected" and passed the vehicle, installed the brace, and said all was well as they handed me the keys. In early March I took the car in for its state inspection and it failed due to all of the rust/corrosion/frame rot on the rear of this vehicle. When I called matt burne to find out why they installed the brace on this vehicle with all that rust, and why they never even bothered to mention the rust to me, they said that for the recall to pass all they needed to do was remove the bolt for the trailing arm and that all the rust didn't matter, and whether or not it could pass a state inspection didn't matter. This, put me and my family at risk. The rust and corrosion is severe. My family and I have been driving in it thinking it was all okay since the recall was completed. Yet they never thought to mention it. Isn't this recall in reference to rust and corrosion on the rear frame? yes, I understand it involves the trailing arm, but wasn't there a punch test and a frame inspection that was supposed to be a part of this? how is it that the frame can rot away and practically disintegrate and yet that doesn't matter? after a month of trying to reach Honda, they finally told me I needed to take it to a Honda dealer because the 2 inspection centers I had taken it to weren't good enough. I wound up taking to to motorworld Honda for an "inspection" and all they did was look at the installed brace and say everything was good, even though that at this point they were now unable to put the car on the lift since that spot on the frame has rusted away. In March it was able to be put on the lift? what happened since? and how is this acceptable as far as this recall is concerned? they put my life and the lives of my family at risk as well as others.

39 Body problem of the 2014 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 04/30/2025

I was driving with my family home and my vehicle began to move from side to side in a very violent manner. When I stopped and checked my vehicle I saw that the frame where the rear suspension arm is held was completely rusted and broken, the rear tire was about to completely detach from the vehicle and luckily I was able to stop without harming the health of my son and wife, after the incident I investigated and realized that it is a fairly common problem in multiple Honda crv models of various years and so far no mechanic shop has wanted to repair my vehicle because they say that it is a major and very expensive repair, no warning lights came on before this happened and no one has wanted to inspect the vehicle, neither the dealer nor the insurance company, as they say this is not their problem but mine.

40 Body problem of the 2010 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 04/22/2025

The driver’s door lock will not lock or cycles up and down when trying to unlock the door. This is a 2010 Honda Cr-v. There is a recall on the same part for the 2007 to 2009 Honda Cr-v (Honda service bulletin 14-083). The recall needs to be extended to the 2010 Honda Cr-v vehicle.

41 Body problem of the 2023 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 04/16/2025

Left side (drivers side) mirror vibrates at high speeds. This creates a distortion with the inability to safely judge distances from other cars, any objects near by, makes attempts at lane changes unsafe.

42 Body problem of the 2016 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 04/08/2025

The drivers and passenger Smart door handles have failed this year. It caused parasitic battery drain over 3 days and the doors would unlock automatically just by walking within 5 feet of the car. I have disconnected them for now because 800 in parts only is rediculous. Very dissapointed the reliability of the 2016 crv.

43 Body problem of the 2023 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 04/02/2025

The hood seems to wobble/shake during highway speeds. Very noticeable when wind speed is high. Seems to be a common problem with 2023 crv hybrids. There should be a recall to have hoods fixed since this is a major safety problem.

44 Body problem of the 2025 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 04/01/2025

The hood on the 2025 Honda crv hybrid is loose. When you drive at highway speeds, the hood vibrates and you can hear the metal hook holding the hood down banging.

45 Body problem of the 2017 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 04/01/2025

Water collecting in rear hatch frame. Have to remove the two rubber grommets and move hatch up and down to remove water. Hearing water in frame when opening hatch.

46 Body problem of the 2025 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 03/22/2025

I’ve noticed several issues with the 2025 Honda Cr-v sport hybrid. The hood vibrates excessively, and both the hatch and hatch lock appear to be misaligned. Additionally, the gaps and flushness between the hood and the surrounding body panels, as well as the alignment of the rear hatch, are inconsistent. Ti have concerns with the sealing of the doors and the rubber seals throughout the entire vehicle, as they do not appear to be installed correctly.

47 Body problem of the 2019 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 03/19/2025

Engine rpm surged while nose- in parking with foot on brake, causing vehicle to unexpectedly jump the parking barrier and hit a steel sign post, incurring $3,300 cosmetic damage to left front of vehicle. Pressed harder on brake to stop. Cost estimate obtained, complaint filed with american Honda.

48 Body problem of the 2010 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 03/14/2025

The rear passenger-side lower control arm mounting point on my 2010 Honda Cr-v has rotted out due to severe corrosion. This has caused a loud clicking noise when driving over uneven surfaces and has compromised the structural integrity of the suspension system. The problem was confirmed by an independent mechanic, who stated that the control arm is no longer properly secured due to rust damage at the mounting point. The vehicle was also inspected by a Honda dealership, which noted frame perforation in and beyond the recall area related to NHTSA recall no. 23v-228. Despite this, american Honda has refused to address the issue, stating that the corrosion does not fall within the defined recall area. This failure presents a significant safety risk, as the suspension could potentially detach while driving. The issue first became noticeable in mid-March 2025 when the clicking noise started and has persisted since. There were no prior warning lights or error messages. The corrosion is visible and the affected components are available for inspection upon request. The condition has been documented via dealer and mechanic reports, photographs, and video.

49 Body problem of the 2024 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 03/14/2025

Driver's side outside mirror has a complete horizontal crack without any visible sign of impact. This crack creates a "hall of mirrors" effect that impairs and obstructs my ability to see cars approaching from behind.

50 Body problem of the 2017 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 03/09/2025

The rear windshield of the car exploded during a routine drive without any apparent cause. The car was inspected by a montgomery county police officer and was driven to the local Honda dealership. The local Honda dealership could not offer any additional insights into the root cause of the incident.

51 Body problem of the 2024 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 03/03/2025

Rear hatch door leaks water when it rains or when it is ran through the car wash, or when water touches the top if the rear hatch door. Water leaks inside the vehicle. Dealer has attempted to fix this issue multiple times and not able to repair it.

52 Body problem of the 2024 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 03/01/2025

The hood on my 2024 Honda crv has been vibrating and appears to have some flex. This occurs consistently at highway speeds and is even more noticeable on windy days. I’ve double checked that the hood is closed and it is latched properly.

53 Body problem of the 2024 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 03/01/2025

I am filing a complaint about the horn on this Honda crv model. Honda, for some reason, changed the horn system to a mono note horn that is so weak it is difficult for other motorists and pedestrians to hear. The Honda dealer told me that it is supposed to sound like that and it is not defective. This weak single note horn is used in 2023 and 2024 Honda crvs. It is referred to by fellow crv owners on forums as a "clown car" horn. It makes a very weak "toot" and in traffic, no one seems to hear it. I feel this is a safety concern and therefore, I am reporting it to NHTSA.

54 Body problem of the 2023 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 02/18/2025

I was in the collision accident on the service road when my new Honda Cr-v 2023 started skidding to the left while I was making the smooth turn to the right, the vehicle was pulling to the left side of the road, hitting the metal guardrail on the driver side. Looked like I lost traction and skid from left then to the right , unable to control and maneuver the steering wheel. The vehicle was in steering recall but I was not aware of that, did not receive any notice of the recall. If this accident had never happened I probably would continue driving the unsafe vehicle and be more in a severe crash. The vehicle' steering column did not work and the vehicle was not drivable after the accident, and was towed to the car repair shop. I immediately notified the state farm insurance about the collision but nobody told me I had to call the police.

55 Body problem of the 2024 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 01/29/2025

The liftgate closed on my head. I quickly moved out of the way. My husband opened the liftgate and it closed on his head. The car was in the garage with the garage door open. There was no warning. The service department at the dealership could not reproduce or confirm the malfunction.

56 Body problem of the 2014 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 01/27/2025

My tailgate does not open in cold weather. It was been serviced by Honda several times. They said they fixed it and it still does not work so I cannot use my trunk at all in the winter. I have a disability and need to use my trunk for groceries and medical equipment. Now Honda says it is out of warranty and wants to charge me for something they never actually fixed (garden state Honda). Please recall and permanently fix this, many people have the same issue.

57 Body problem of the 2021 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 01/21/2025

Rear liftgate struts did not hold the liftgate up and it hit me in the head. Outside temperature was 12 degrees. Aside from a minor bump and some humiliation, no injury done. But I had to hold the tailgate door to put my mailman bag in the trunk because it wouldn't stay open.

58 Body problem of the 2023 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 12/20/2024

Driver side mirror cracked vertically. Honda says it is "weather related" because I told them it happened while I was driving in snow. It is not covered under warranty. This is a safety issue!.

59 Body problem of the 2024 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 11/25/2024

I was in albemarle, nc on Nov 24-25 and my car was parked outside. My mirror was not cracked when I parked it Sunday night and there was not a vehicle parked next to me. It was 36 degrees outside that morning and there was frost on the car. I drove my car approximately 2 miles and it was cracked. There is no other damage to the car or mirror. I contacted my local Honda dealer to have them fix the issue but they told me this was not a warranty issue and I needed to make a claim on my insurance, which I refuse to do because it was not involved in an accident or incident. I've also filed a complaint with Honda corp directly. This issue of the side mirror cracking in cold weather appears to be an issue with a lot of 2024 crv's according to internet searches. The mirror view is now distorted and makes it difficult to view things.

60 Body problem of the 2025 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 11/16/2024

The hood is not completely secure and vibrates at highway speeds. This is not an official incident but rather a general complaint. I am worried that the vibrating hood is going to eventually malfunction and fly off the car.

61 Body problem of the 2018 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 11/12/2024

The harness inside the left hand side back door was crushed and shorted thereby autolock not functioning. After discussions with dealer and Honda us hq they would not cover any portion of $530 bill to replaced crush harness cable that is inside the door, even though nobody has access to this wire as it is inside the door. The only reason why it would be crushed is due to poor or incorrect assembly during manufacturing and over time it shorted out causing the autolock to stop. The only thing that is visible is the black tube that routes the wiring from door frame to inside the door. The problem is crushed wire inside door. On a door that is hardly used (left hand passenger side behind driver door). Due to safety issue, car was repaired at madison Honda at madison, NJ for $530+tax. This is an unreasonable repair expense to consumer.

62 Body problem of the 2024 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 11/06/2024

The plastic silver framing above the headlights is separating from eachother on the left and right side of the hood. I have not been in any type of collision.

63 Body problem of the 2025 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 10/13/2024

The component due to an improperly produced steering gearbox worm wheel, the wheel can swell during use, reducing the grease film thickness between the worm wheel and worm gear in which this was recalled on oct 3, 2024 but did not discovered it until oct 13, 2024 in an incident caused by the recall. All of the sudden my steering wheel became hard to maneuver and when I had difficulty turning it, I had something from the issue, as a result the under cover of the car got damaged due this issue in which I didn’t find out when I tried to schedule a service appointment on the Honda website. No the dealer or anyone has reproduced as it was a one time incident. No there was no prior warning about the steering wheel.

64 Body problem of the 2024 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 10/04/2024

1. My car has steering wheel gearbox recall. I contacted the dealership where I purchased the car in "phillipsburg easton Honda" but they vaguely answered me saying that they don't have the part to repair it and will let me know when they have. Without telling me any time frame to repair it. 2. The gate door malfunctions when trying to open it manually from outside using the rubber handle on the gate door. It is randomly happens, not always. 3. Lane departure warning malfunctions and in many occasions I received warning and steering wheel shakes when I drive inside the lane.

65 Body problem of the 2023 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 09/07/2024

At high speeds, hood vibrates and moves abnormally up and down. The hood wobbles at highway or interstate speeds.

66 Body problem of the 2025 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 08/10/2024

Right after purchase, the hood wobbled up and down at highway speeds. When passing a semi traveling the opposite direction at 60 mph on a two lane section of road, it jumped enough to make me wonder if the latch had come loose and the hood was going to open. I notified the dealer to have it looked at and it was discovered that welds holding the hood were broken. A new hood is being ordered and it is being replaced at no charge. I am reporting this issue in case this is not an isolated incident.

67 Body problem of the 2013 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 08/05/2024

Severe frame rot on driver’s side of vehicle just forward of rear wheel. Rear control arm bolt support location has rusted away. Discovered August 5, 2024 when up on lift for a tire rotation. Garage advised vehicle unsafe to drive. Vehicle has 96,374 miles and is out of warranty. However, Honda issued a recall on 2007-2011 crvs for same situation where vehicles were repaired or bought back. Vehicle has been inspected by 2 private garages, a Honda dealer, and a Honda collision center to assess repair options. We have been told not to drive the vehicle. I understand the warranty has expired however a failure could result in loss of control and a repair quote from a Honda collision center is $5,871. 63. If the vehicle were in an accident insurance company would total it, per arbella. Instead, we are left to spend more than 2/3 of its trade in value to repair it. It seems that the crv frame issue was not limited to the 2007-2011 model years, and I believe we should receive consideration from Honda to repair or buy back the for a vehicle. It would appear more crvs should be inspected for unsafe frame rot, and Honda should be held accountable for a design that does not let road salt and moisture drain.

68 Body problem of the 2025 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 07/05/2024

From the day I drove my brand new 2025 Honda Cr-v off the lot after purchasing it, in the driver's side rear view mirror, the mirror vibrates terribly as soon as you are going 35/45+mph. The faster the speed, the worse the vibration is. You can visible see the mirror glass shaking. It is very dangerous at all times to not be able to see with this side mirror. It is especially dangerous on the highways because it distorts the view so greatly and also makes me feel disoriented and dizzy when I try to use it to safely navigate the roads. If the mirror glass were to fly off, this would lead to an even greater danger. Yes, this problem has been confirmed by a dealer. It has been brought to saratoga Honda and they replaced the entire mirror unit. The second unit had the same defect, and did the same thing. They stated if they replaced it a third time, it would not make a difference. They also drove another crv just like mine off the lot and the mirror did the same thing. This is an issue that needs to be turned into a recall. It is not okay that Honda produced vehicles with something so unsafe, with no ability to fix it.

69 Body problem of the 2022 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 05/22/2024

The vehicle automatically locked while my key fob was inside the vehicle. I closed the door with the child in my car, and walked away. When I returned, I had found that the car had automatically locked and my key was inside. My child was trapped inside the vehicle. I called emergency responders who arrived quickly and was able to pry open the door and unlock the vehicle. The "walk away auto lock" feature was not activated, so it should not have locked on its own. Other car owners have reported this issue with children and pets being trapped in the vehicle. . 70 Body problem of the 2024 Honda CR-V

Failure Date: 05/08/2024

This issue is the vertical door trim panels directly adjacent to the windows on all four door of the vehicle. Since purchasing this vehicle in 2024 we have had to have this/these door trim panels on the drivers side replaced three times due to the sun melting the panels. Honda service is well aware of the problem, the problem is also on the internet. I have complained and filed a formal complaint with Honda asking that the vehicle be replaced, this is still pending by Honda. I believe there to be several issues of concern with this. These trims panels are very thin, if the panels degraded condition is not addressed will it come free from the vehicle and possibly fly into an open back window into the face/throat of a passenger at 55 mph or greater? will the panel come free and be propelled into another vehicle traveling behind me? will another driver lose control over this issue? I believe there to be enough sharp edges/surfaces on this panel to cause serious bodily harm at 55mph or greater. Honda, the internet (media) are all well aware of this issue, yet Honda just keeps replacing the sun melted panels with another panel that eventually melt. I have had to take the time to drop off the vehicle, pick up my wife (owner) then take her back to pick up the vehicle. When the standard warranty expires what then? these panels are obviously defective in design, why has Honda not redesigned the part to withstand sunlight/heat so that this stops happening? considering the amount of these vehicles on the road today I cannot understand why this is not properly addressed. I have an open case with Honda over this issue, I requested that the vehicle be replaced (brand new vehicle with a never ending defect/safety issue). My case number with Honda is 15594160. Please help with this (corrective engineering on replacement part) I am receiving the obligatory corporate response from Honda and I think this issue warrants more authority/stance then I have. The photo is post service.
