After finishing a 300 mile trip, we unloaded the car and parked it. This vehicle is a month old, with 557 miles after this trip. I spent 60 minutes looking for road dings and any scratches. Found nothing! I went back out to be sure we locked and found a 5 inch crack on the right side of the windshield. I spent another 30 minutes looking for a reason/cause. There was no marks on this vehicle when arrived at our destination. And after sitting parked for at least an hour the windshield was cracked. It appears that both layers of glass are damaged!.

While driving at highway speed (60mph) on a sunny but not hot day (45 deg. ) we heard a loud bang like something hit the roof of the car. There was no other traffic in the area and we did not pass under any overpass. Upon inspection of the car after stopping, we saw the sunroof had a large hole (6-8 inches) and appeared to have exploded from the inside, since the broken area was bulging up. We submitted a claim with our insurance carrier, and was told we would have to pay the $100 deductible. We expect to get the damaged sunroof replaced next week when the glass is available. The glass store put a sheet of cling plastic over the hole for temporary closure.

I bought my Honda crv ex on 7/19/2019 and mileage is 3,760 miles. On the way to work along a city street road in the morning on 2/2/7/2020 I heard loud pop and crack formed two spontaneous cracks coming from edge of windshield on both driver and passage side.

My wife was traveling thru an intersection with a railroad track running across the far side of the intersection when the Honda sensing system caused the car to suddenly stop. There were no obstructions in the roadway and she stopped just short of the railroad tracks. If someone had been traveling close behind her, a collision may have occurred.
I own a 2018 crv purchased new in August 2018. While sitting at a stop light on a slightly drizzly, approximately 45-ish degree morning this week, I heard a loud bang/explosion followed by a slight crackling noise right over my head. I immediately pulled my sunroof shade shut and when I arrived at work (about a 1/2 mile down the road), I discovered that my sunroof had completely shattered. Because I pulled the shade closed, the glass did not fall in to the vehicle so there was no injury sustained. My route is one I do daily and does not include an overpass or overhangs. There was no indication that anything had been thrown/fallen on my roof. There is no other damage to the body/roof. I believe the sunroof spontaneously shattered. When I spoke with my Honda dealer's service department, they transferred me to an outside body shop to repair out of pocket. When I spoke to the dealer's finance office about my warranty, they informed me that no glass repair is covered under my warranty or extended warranty and that I needed to submit under my comprehensive car insurance. My insurance did ultimately cover the damage although they were reluctant as they felt it was a manufacturers defect.

Windshield had a crack in the bottom left corner after owning it for two months and nothing hit my windshield. Honda tried to say there was a puck which there wasn't. Had my windshield replaced by safe lite and they used an after market windshield. I was having issues with my vehicle dropping 5-6 mph when going from one lane to the next. Honda duplicated the issue and now Honda is trying to say my vehicle is dropping speed because of an after market windshield and I need to have it replaced with a Honda windshield. This is a safety issue.
The button on the shift knob fell out. It appears to have cracked, and now the button falls out of the shifting handle.

Michelin defender xt green x tires are cracked and separating around all the tread. Only have 35,000 miles on tires and are less than 4yrs old. Some cracking is also on sidewalls but mostly in the tread. Also have vibration at 60+ mph due to tread separating from tire. This is the 4th vehicle I have had these tires dry rot and cracking. I have replaced all of my tires. I did the michelin warranty on one vehicle and it was a nightmare, no dealers honor the warranty and they lie to customers saying tires are safe. Please have michelin recall the defender green x line of tires before someone gets hurt. Dot codes: 225/65r17 b93t02bx1114 b93t02bx0914.

It was a record hot day, 100 degrees, and my Cr-v was parked in my paved driveway, in the sun. I was watering my outdoor plants (not washing my car, our well water would only leave white spots on it) and waved the hose over my car and "pop!"- the front windshield cracked in two different places, both are large cracks, 10 and 18 inches. This was due, I believe, to the cool water on the hot windshield. I believe the car is now unsafe to drive as the cracks are so prominent and I question the windshield's integrity.
I parked at open parking lot in gated comm unity on 01/24/18 at approximately 7:00pm . The weather was clear and approximately 30 to 40 degrees. I left in m y vehicle at approximately 9:00 am on 01/25/18. I did not notice anything wrong with my sunroof. When I started accelerating at 30 to 40 miles per hour, I heard some crackling noise that was coming from and flying off. I then noticed glass in the sun roof cover that is pulled over the glass inside the vehicle. When I got to work (3 miles on beltway), I observed that the glass of the sun roof was shattered and had a large hole in the glass. I returned to condo and surveilled parking lot and other parked vehicles and did not see anything that may have fallen onto the sunroof. I did not see any glass at the condo where I first got into vehicle. There does not appear to be any object inside the sunroof under the shattered glass. The vehicle is presently in my work garage, and expected date of replacement per m y consultation with the insurance company will be on Monday, January 29, 2018. I am unaware of any damage to the sunroof prior to the shattering.

Faulty windshield glass. My vehicle's windshield cracked due to what appears to be weak oem windshield. When I turned on my vehicle defrost a slight crack appeared which continued on to spread along the bottom, near the defroster. A google search shows multiple complaints about 2017 windshield cracking for a myriad of reasons that don't have to do with an accident. The Honda dealership where the vehicle was purchased refuses to replace the windshield unless I pay over a $1000. Now, in order to avoid my insurance going up, I will have to pay over $500 to safelite to replace it. Again this is not an isolated issue.
My wife and I purchased the 2015 Cr-v ex-l awd on January 5 2016 at staten island Honda. After only 11 days and 300 miles on vehicle as we were driving for a ski vacation I noticed a crackling noise when I would turn the steering wheel in either direction. I then noticed that none of the steering wheel controls worked or the radio. In addition to this my horn didnt work and my bluetooth would constantly say (htc is ok ) both my radio interface screens would always flash different maintenance malfunctions. My cellphone would also randomly connect and make calls. Then as I was driving to get gas off the NJ turnpike my horn started to go off non stop and I had to pull the horn fuse out from under the hood. I also noticed a very strong vibration when vehicle is idle and stopped at traffic lights on both driver and passenger side and now seems to be getting worse . Our vehicle was serviced from January 19-21 and the mechanic stated that they replaced the fuses and the cable reel and said the vibration was normal. I did some further research and there is a lawsuit against Honda in regards to the 2015 Cr-v vibration issue. I do not feel safe driving this vehicle and feel that I was sold a $30k lemon . I have owned Hondas in the past with no issues but after this experience and Honda being aware of this issue and still sold these trucks the company has lost my trust. When going through my documents I noticed that I was missing alot of paperwork from my sales contract and I brought it to the attention of the sales representative. At first he said he gave us everything and then realized he didnt but didnt have access to the file room to give us the necessary documents. He stated he would get back to us and never did. So in all I would not recommend going to staten island Honda due to their incompetent sales staff and I hope Honda resolves all of these issues.

This brand new Honda Cr-v awd touring 2015 (less than 3 weeks old) has an issue of vibration of the driver and passenger seats, steering wheel, and car overall (e. G. , doors). The issue happens when the car is driven a few miles and the car stops (idles) in drive mode (e. G. , an a stop light). Within seconds the seats and steering wheel starts to vibrate, sometimes uncomfortably. The vibration goes away as the car starts to move, so it seems to only happen noticeably when idling with the transmission in drive. The car is brand new and the vibration is noticeable enough that makes the driver (or passengers) aware and suspicious of a problem. A crack on the windshield was noticed Apr/12/2015 (starting at the bottom edge at driver¿s side and spreading towards the center). I went to dealer (manchester Honda) Apr/13/2015, showed vibration issue to seller which was reproduced at the dealer parking lot, and was later informed by a service rep that Honda is aware of issue. . I purchased my 2012 crv in April 2012 brand new and since the winter of 2013 I started noticing crackling/rattling noise when the temperature drops. I contacted curry Honda and was given the run around. Finally in November 2014 when the temperatures started dropping again I wasn't taking no for an answer. I brought it in I was told the noise had to be duplicated in order to figure out what the problem was. Needless to say I left that afternoon not knowing what the issue was. I started doing my own research and found blogs and youtube videos of other 2012 crv's with the same issue. I contacted american Honda and was given a case number. I brought the vehicle back to curry Honda on 12/9/2014 and was called by the service advisor on 12/10 that the issue was the vtc actuator sb-09-010. The part was replaced. I continued to hear the noise and was advise by my case manager to bring it back to the dealer. On 1/6/15 I dropped the vehicle off and was called on 1/7/15 that again the issue is vtc actuator but that part has to be remanufactured which the engineers are aware but no part yet. The case was closed with no resolution no compensation. I contacted the dealer's customer service rep tasha davis by email on 10/27/15 since the vehicle at start up this morning made the same exact noise. I contacted by tasha and was told there's no answer and I should reopen the case with american Honda. I called them this afternoon and was told by the rep that there's no answer no solution nor is Honda compensating its customers. This is very disappointing and frustrating. I'm still making payments on this vehicle. I was told corey is the dealers american Honda rep but after numerous attempts on trying to get in contact with him, I haven't spoken to him yet. When I purchased the crv I thought I was getting a brand new good working car but what I got was a new car with a faulty engine part.

Informed Honda several times that vehicle was taken out of service as salvage in 2014. With last conversation, Honda representative advised that the database that Honda utilizes for tracking takata airbags is out of date . . . And that it would take some time for Honda to cease sending recall notices. This failure to maintain up to date records is counter-productive.

Purchased car in sept 2013 within a week the tpm light came on. Stopped by the dealer, they checked the tires (they were fine) and showed me how to reset it. Within 20 miles light came on again. Went back to dealer. . . Repeat multiple times. In oct dealer swapped out tires with another set thinking it may fix the problem. Light back on within 50 miles. Car back to dealer, they fiddled with it a bit, test drove it over 100 miles, no light. I picked it up, light back on before I arrived home. Complained again. Was told "Honda is working on it". . . . Nov/Dec just continued to reset light. Started tracking it- usually goes on within 1 mile of same place on freeway, speeds 45-57 mph, 27-45 degrees. Was told in Nov (?) that a software fix was in the works expected eta Jan/Feb. March 2014 still hadn't heard anything until I read about a "fix" on the Honda owners website. Called dealer, they hadn't heard but looked into it and was told by Honda that it only worked on approx. 10% of cars and wasn't really a fix. Have owned car for over 6 months now, light continues to go on at random. What's the point of a "safety feature" when it only cries "wolf"? pretty disguested with Honda at this point and want it fixed so I can dump the car.
While going north on I-35, 2 miles south of austin, texas a very loud noise was felt and heard. The sunroof had cracked into thousands of small pieces and a large hole formed as I drove with glass flying behind me. The hole in the center of the sunroof had edges sloping upwards indicating the force went out of the car bending the glass outwards. There is no evidence any object hit the sunroof from the outside. The outside temperature was 64f degrees. I believe the factory installed sunroof glass is defective causing a very unsafe driving condition. I have pictures of the sunroof.
